ROWAN

Today is the first charity function that we’ve run since Grayson took over as president of the club. We’re raising money for the school district with a small carnival on the downtown square. This is the first year we’re doing this fundraiser and Everly helped us with the idea.

She’s down to four weeks of maternity leave, but she’s already planning things for her class for when she gets back.

I already knew that she was a good teacher from how Asher and Paisley talked about her, but seeing how she cares for her students even when she’s on maternity leave, just solidified that fact for me.

We have volunteers spread through the carnival working the rides, games, and concession stands and everyone is seeming to enjoy themselves.

The afternoon rolls on and we all meet up at the fountain in the middle of the square to take a picture.

We look like quite the sight in our leather cuts with the skull and crown on the back surrounded by a bunch of kids running around, but to this town, it’s normal. We take care of our own.

I pull Everly into my side and we adjust Hazel’s stroller in front of us, smiling for the picture that I’m sure will end up in the town’s newspaper. I notice Chief Benning walking by and smirk at the look on his face.

He’s pissed off but he can’t show it in front of the town. He has to bite his tongue and bear his hatred for us. It’s really a shame because he used to be on our side. I can only imagine what kind of roadblocks we’ll run into with him now, but that’s a problem for another day.

We break apart from our picture and the ladies all head back to the clubhouse while we help to tear everything down.

It goes pretty quickly with the help of the volunteers and the other charter members who came into town to help with the event.

It’s just before dark when we’re hopping on our bikes and heading to the club.

We’re celebrating tonight.

Not just for a successful fundraiser for the school, but for surviving all the shit we did during the last year. Peace may be temporary since we have no idea when the Devil’s Knights, or someone or something worse will come back to Silver Springs, but we’ll bask in the glory of it for now.

The club is lit up against the darkening sky like a beacon to my heart.

Everyone I love is either in that club or riding alongside me.

We pull into the lot and park our bikes before walking into the club as a group.

Rock music is already playing and two of the prospects stand at the ready behind the bar, but I don’t care about a drink right now. No, I just want to find my girl.

I scan through the crowd of people and see her smiling face across the room. Her black hair is in a messy bun on top of her head with tendrils falling around her face. She’s wearing a black sundress with a distressed denim jacket over it for the cooler day. She looks stunning and happy.

I cut through the crowd and stop beside her, pulling her into my arms and smiling down at her. Her smile only grows when she looks up at me.

“Hey darlin’,” I murmur. “Is Hazel already in bed?”

She nods her head. “She’s out like a light.”

“She had a busy day,” Sophie says from the chair beside us.

I look down and see her wince. “You okay, Soph?”

“I’ve just been having some Braxton hicks, and they seem to be getting stronger,” she admits as she rubs a hand over her swollen belly.

“Sophie,” Everly gasps. “Braxton hicks contractions don’t get closer together. You’re in labor!”

“What?!” Grayson barks from beside us before rushing to Sophie’s side. “Is it time, baby?”

“Fuck,” Sophie groans. “I think so.”

The next few minutes are a flurry of motion as my brother, and his wife grab their bag for the hospital and take off. Asher is so excited that he’s going to be a big brother that he won’t stop talking about it and I can’t wait to meet my niece.

The party picks up when they leave after promising that they’ll keep us posted on when the baby arrives. Drinks are poured and laughs are had. It’s the perfect evening. Especially when we get the call that Sophie and Grayson’s little girl has arrived. Lily Ann Williams.

I’m a few drinks deep when Everly and I decide to go to bed. The rest of our members are worse for wear, the only sober people being our prospects, who don’t look happy about it. Before long, we’ll need to recruit two new prospects, because Noah and Levi are finishing their two-year program soon.

They have made us all proud and I can’t wait to see how they are as patched members. It also gives Ace and Theo a chance to step things up since they’ll have another year prospecting.

Everly and I find our way upstairs and I hop in the shower while she checks on Hazel. I’m lathering myself up when I feel her climb in behind me. Her hands reach around me and find my cock, stroking it from behind.

“Fuck, baby. That feels so good,” I groan as I wrap my hand around hers, adding more pressure to my aching cock.

She gets a few more pumps in before I become desperate. I whirl around and lift her into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist before thrusting into her. We both groan at the sensation of me filling her.

I trail kisses down her throat, making my way down to her chest before taking one of her nipples into my mouth and skimming my teeth over the rosy tip.

She clenches around my cock, making me rock into her.

Her nails dig into my shoulders as I thrust in and out of her relentlessly.

Her mouth slams into mine and we’re a clash of teeth and tongue as she meets me thrust for thrust.

I press Everly against the shower wall and slip my hand between us, circling her clit with just enough pressure to make her still. She cries out as she comes, biting my neck to quiet her moans.

Her bite is enough to send me over the cliff, I explode inside her, filling her with my come. I kiss her as we come down from our high, enjoying the taste of her. I slip out of her and grab her body wash and loofa to wash her.

I spend the next few minutes cleaning up the mess we made and enjoying how much I can touch my woman.

After I get her clean, I finish cleaning myself up and then turn off the shower, grabbing us each a towel and leading her back to our bedroom, just to get messy again when she lets the towel slip from her body.

A few hours later, we’re both hungry. We ate at the carnival, but obviously, we weren’t thinking about the energy we were going to expel tonight.

I leave Everly naked in bed while I slip on a pair of joggers and walk out of our room, checking on Hazel before I head out of the suite.

I let the door close behind me but stop when I hear Axel’s door opening.

His suite is directly across from mine. It’s not Axel who exits his room, though.

A curvy brunette exits, holding her heels in her hand with her hair covering her face. When she looks up my eyebrows shoot into my hair line and she gasps, her hand covering her chest.

I clear my throat. “Uh, hey, Wren.”

She groans. “Hey, Ro. Just don’t, okay?”

“Don’t what?” I ask innocently.

“Shut up,” she grumbles before storming past me and down the stairs.

I wait to see if Axel follows her, but his door doesn’t open again. What the fuck did I just witness? Did they actually stop fighting their sexual tension and fuck? I can’t wait to give them shit for this.

I walk down the stairs and through the clubhouse where it’s surprisingly empty. Sometimes when you walk downstairs after a party, you’ll find members and club sluts passed out on any available surface. Tonight, they seem to have all made their way to a room.

I walk into the kitchen and fix a plate of leftovers from the fridge. Thankfully, Chef makes too much food and there is always something to eat here. I grab two bottles of water as everything heats up and then head upstairs and back to our suite. Axel’s door is still firmly closed as I pass it.

I punch in the code to our suite and walk to our room, closing the door with my foot behind me so we don’t wake up Hazel while we talk. Everly is still in bed, but she’s slipped on my discarded t-shirt and has the sheet pulled over her lap.

“You’re not going to believe what I just saw,” I tell her as I put the plate of food on the bed and hand her one of the water bottles before climbing in.

“What?” She asks as she untwists the cap on the bottle and takes a drink.

“Wren was walking out of Axel’s room, her heels were in her hand, and her hair was a mess.”

Water spews out of Everly’s mouth, and her hand shoots up to cover it. She watches me with wide eyes. “What?”

“Looked like the walk of shame to me,” I tell her with a shrug.

“Oh my gosh! Do you think they finally crossed that line?”

“It sure looked like it,” I tell her with a laugh before grabbing a chicken wing from the plate.

“How can you eat after dropping that bomb on me?” She laughs.

“I can always eat, baby,” I smirk at her.

She rolls her eyes. “What do you think is going to happen?”

I shrug. “I don’t know. She saw me and she told me to shut up. It might not lead to anything.”

Her shoulders slump. “I don’t know. I think this is just the beginning for them.”
