He won’t pick up my phone. He always picks up and he is not picking up. I hope he’s OK. Maybe it’s a mountain thing and he’s driving through that town with no electricity? Trying not to panic but something feels a bit weird.

His flight’s about to leave. But he hasn’t messaged me or called me and I’m starting to feel uneasy. Something isn’t right. I just know something is wrong.
I’m supposed to be leaving for the hotel near the airport soon. I just hope he’s there when I get there.
But what if he doesn’t show up?
I told my sister and she looked at me, shrugged and said, ‘Well, maybe you’ve been scammed.’

Actor and Brothers star Milo Ford has spent the summer falling head over heels for ordinary 31-year-old scientist Allie Lake – a love story that has had fans firmly glued to their screens.
Ford and Lake met when the pair accidentally swapped phones on a flight from New York City to the UK three weeks ago, with Lake going home to Stought, Gloucestershire, where she lives with her sister, and Ford on to Romania to film Sharp Hearts, a secret project directed by Oscar-winning Tilly M. It’s unclear whether they met to execute the switch, but the leaked messages have now been read by thousands.
The messages begin with the pair swapping and relaying important notifications, but slowly blossom into more personal, deeper exchanges, with Ford declaring, ‘I saw how golden the sunset was again tonight and you were the only person I wanted to show it to’ – one of many quotes that have quickly become affectionately shared internet memes.

While Lake has been tight-lipped about the romance, Ford has been taking it all in his stride.
Just last week, Milo appeared as a guest on The Really Late Show, and strode onto the stage wearing a T-shirt with his own meme on: his face photoshopped on a water-sodden Colin Firth’s, a still taken from the famous ‘lake scene’ from the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, with a text to Lake underneath it in faux-subtitles.

She went on to say, ‘I’d like to be known for the research I and other scientists conduct through these amazing organisations.

While it looks like it’s the end of the road for Ford and Lake, fans have expressed both relief and disappointment on the viral Verified Insider post. ‘Omg yesss, does this mean we now have a chance with milo ford? someone find me his next flight details,’ commented one, to over 1000 likes, while another added, ‘Oh, this sucks, they seemed to really like each other! So, did they ever meet? What even happened? I’m dying to know! ’
