Chapter 7 Captured in the Chaos
The alarm suddenly blared.
Everyone thought it was Zhou Zilang.
Shang Xu had arranged for me to stay in his room while he went to make the arrest himself.
This gave me my chance.
I quickly flipped the photo on his bedside table.
It was really a picture of us from our youth.

Everyone knew this great general had once fought the Insectoids alone and left none alive.
I had no chance to resist.
I planned to call for help once someone found me.
But I had underestimated them.
The next second, the entire prison alarm system started beeping.
All cell doors opened at once.
Prisoners swarmed out.
Fu Yanan took me and escaped easily in the chaos.
What made me more desperate was that he and Zhou Zilang were working together.
In a dark, damp basement, Zhou Zilang squatted before me, eyes burning.
