Epilogue

Fu Yanan was not dead.

He had been rescued by his former comrades and his body had been reconstructed with mechanical parts.

The whole process had been kept secret from everyone.

I cried because he had come back to life and because in every dream I had felt guilty and tried to save him, only to wake up clutching nothing but air.

By the time the other two arrived at my house, I had already calmed down.
