I woke up to the thunderstorm of the century bellowing outside, the lightning bringing the brightness of daylight in foreboding looking chains.
The wind howled in the dark, and every screech felt like it was my name.
That’s when I knew for sure: tonight was the night. I was getting the hell out of here.
