Chapter 26
JESSICA
I smile and bite my lip at the memory of last night.
I’m waiting for Lily outside her hotel, but my mind is occupied with all the sexual images of last night.
I was a little nervous to voice my desire to Luke, not because I think he would ever judge me, but because saying it out loud feels vulnerable.
I’ve never been with a man who’s made me comfortable enough to embrace the rougher side of sex, but with Luke, everything feels natural. He makes me feel cherished and powerful, and whenever he introduces something new, like bondage or spanking, I just feel even more desired by him.
As our connection grows, my insecurities about being a public couple ease. Luke is a man worth taking a chance on. The way he makes me feel, the laughter he brings out of me, not to mention our sexual chemistry.
It’s all part of the reasons why he’s going to be worth every chance.
He’s been patient with me, meeting me at every turn and making sure we’re doing this together.
Again and again, he’s shown me how amazing we are together.
I have to trust us and that we will be able to handle whatever comes our way.
I’ve also read my contract multiple times, not finding anything that prohibits me from having a relationship with a driver.
Going to the gala together will be our first public appearance as a couple, and I’m starting to get excited about it.
Luke is my man, and I’m ready for the world to see that as well.
“Hey girlie! All ready to find the sexiest dress for the gala? I need to look smoking,” Lily says, linking her arm through mine before we start walking.
“Oh? Who’s the lucky guy we’re dressing up for?” I tease her, but when she looks embarrassed, I stop in my tracks and look at her.
“Oh. My god, there is a guy! Isn’t there? Tell me, Lily.” She sighs and makes me promise not to tell Luke anything.
“Okay, so you know his best friend, Sebastian? He’s coming into town for the gala, and I’ve had a crush on him for as long as I can remember.
But he’s only ever seen me as the baby sister of his best friend.
So, I figured this is the perfect chance to dress up and show him I’m not a little girl anymore.
” She finishes with a smile, and I’m all on board the Lily train.
“Let’s find you a dress that will not only make him drool but also get the attention of the other men at the gala,” I tell her, and we start our mission.
