Everyone stood up in their place looking at Urmila. While Anaya kept sitting in her place least bothered with them.
Avni is looking scared but Aarav quickly pulls her toward him and at his mother in disbelief.
"Seems like we have a new drama coming up, good," Anaya whispered to herself, rolling her eyes with a sigh.
"What was that Urmila? Are you mad? What if Avni gets hurt due to your stupid act?" Damini scolds her but her eyes are still drilling holes on Preet.
"That's why I did that, Ma. There is a papaya seed in Avni's juice. And I didn't need to tell you what that meant," Damini's eyes widened in shock and fear.
"What?!" she exclaimed looking at Urmila then Avni.
Preet realized the meaning of Urmila's words and she herself was shocked. Pregnant women shouldn't give papaya. They are harmful for the baby and can cause miscarriage.
Her body shook with fear thinking what would have happened if Avni drinks that juice.
Avni also gets shocked and unconsciously places her palm on her flat belly. She started shivering badly at the thought of something bad happening to her baby.
Anaya was also shocked as she is a medical student.
While Aarav and Veer are clueless not knowing what is happening and why everyone is so shocked.
"What's wrong, Dadi?" Aarav asked.
"Papaya is prohibited to Pregnant women. It can cause miscarriage if consumed by such women," she told him, still in shock.
Now both Veer and Aarav got the shock. Veer instantly looks at Preet who is in tears and looking at Avni. Then look at Avni who is in Aarav's arms as he is trying to calm her down.
"What made juice today?" Damini's hard voice echoes in the hall. Her eyes filled on Preet who gave juice to Avni.
Preet looked at her with a fearful face and gulped.
"Dadi…" she stuttered in fear seeing her hard gaze.
"I made the juice," she told her, looking at her with her innocent teary eyes.
"I always knew that, Ma. She is jealous of my Avni and her baby. Because she isn't the one having a baby and giving the first heir to Rajvansh. It's not my grandchild's fault that you couldn't conceive till now. You can't see my Avni and Aarav happy, huh, … "
Preet shook her head as a lump formed in her throat hearing such cruel words from her.
"Choti Ma, you are getting her wrong. She can never do that. Everyone knows that," Veer said in his emotionless voice but worry for his wife didn't go unnoticed from anyone's eyes.
"Urmila, don't talk nonsense," Damini also said and for the first time took Preet's side.
Preet smiled slightly and wiped her tears and went toward Avni.
"Avni..I swea-" Avni hugged her tight and shook her head.
"You don't have to say anything Bhabhu. I know you could never think about hurting my baby. I trust you," Aarav also gives her an assuring smile as he is standing behind Avni.
Preet smiles at him and comes out of the hug. Avni look at her heart and wipe her tears,
"Don't cry, Badi Mumma. Baby will be sad seeing his beautiful Badi Mumma in tears," she playfully said to her, making her smile brightly.
Veer looked at her smiling smile and sighs in relief. Her tears hurt him.
Aarav hug from side and said,
"I am sorry on behalf of Mom,"
"Don't be, Aari. She is just worried for Avni and the baby. I can understand her fear. Our little one is so precious to everyone, " she softly said. But she knows somewhere her words were too cruel to forget.
"Ma, I can't trust this girl now." suddenly Urmika said after watching how everyone is siding with her and trusting her blindly.
"Mom! Stop it now," Aarav said, getting frustrated with her baseless hatred for Preet and Veer.
"Aarav, you don't speak in between. I know what I am doing. I just don't want Preet near Avni," she declared firmly.
"Then Preet will not do anything from now on. I am sorry Avni but Choti Ma wants this then…." Veer said, looking at Urmila with his cold face.
"Veer!! What are you saying? Avni can't do work in this condition," Veer glared at Preet and gave her a look to shut up.
"We have servants for work. Avni doesn't have to do anything. And Choti Ma is here for her to look into her needs,"
"Bhai is right, Bhabhi. You don't have to worry. I am here. I don't want anyone to speak nonsense about you again. About staying with Avni, you have every right to spend with her and our baby. She or he will be your child as much as our, ," Aarav said, looking at Mother.
He turned toward Veer and nodded at his Brother.
"I will personally look into the matter regarding this incident. Whoever is behind this will see the worst of me," he warned before leaving from there with Avni.
Damini looked at Urmila and shook her head for creating unnecessary drama instead of searching for the real culprit.
Veer holds Preet's hand and drags her outside. She silently follows him.
Anaya looks surprised seeing Veer and Preet like this.
"Wow! Looks like something going on between them," she whispered to herself and smirked devilishly before going to her room to collect her things as she is getting late for her collage.
