"So what do we have in our menu," she asked excitedly.

"Nothing special really," he said feeling a little embarrassed.

"Oh come on, Mr CEO. Just tell me already," she dramatically said. He smiles looking at her bright face as she is looking excited.

"Jeera Aloo, raita, and roti," she grinned.

"Woa!! So much…not bad, hmm. Now tell me what is left, I will help you," she said as she threw her dupatta aside and tied her long hair in a loose bun.

"It's okay, I am doing. You go and freshen up," Veer tries to stop her.

"I will freshen up later. Did you prepare dough for rotis?" She asked to which he shook his head.

"I will d-" Veer stops her, placing his finger on her lips.

"I will do it. Today is your rest day," he told her. She sighs at him while smiling.

"Fine.., I am coming in a while, okay," she said and ran upstairs to their room to freshen up.

After 20 minutes when she came down, Veer was placing dishes on the dining table.

He looked up hearing her anklet's voice and asked her to sit. They sat and Preet served food on both of their plates.

Preet takes a bite while Veer is looking at her observing her expressions.

"Is it good?" he nervously asked.

She give him a chef kiss and said,

"Awesome!! I love it," he smiled and felt proud.

"You also eat. Wait let me feed you," she fed him and raised her eyes with a smile.

"Not bad," he said, nodding his head.

They eat their dinner happily while talking about their day. The surroundings turn happy and cheerful with their light chuckle and giggling.

Preet got up early in the morning and got ready. She first went and did the prayer in the Pooja room. After which she was again going back to her room. But stop, seeing Sumitra coming from the kitchen.

Suddenly she heard Veer calling her. She turns to see him coming toward her from the gym, which is in the basement.

"Why are you standing here?" he asked standing in front of her.

"Just coming from Pooja," she smiled lightly.

"Can you please iron my blue shirt," he asked her to which she nodded her head with a smile. They both walk up to their room.

She smiles at him and perks his lips lightly after knotting his tie. He chuckled at her act.

"Let's go downstairs," She said lightly, setting his hair on the side.

"You go, I am coming…" he told her.

"Malti Didi, please set the breakfast. And where is everyone?" Preet asked the helper. While she takes out the Juice can from the fridge.

"Vo…Choti Madam and her mother had their breakfast a few times ago. Avni madam is not feeling well so Aarav Bhaiya took their breakfast in the room. And breakfast is finished because Choti Madam ordered us to throw the remaining food saying everyone had breakfast,"

Preet placed the juice can on the counter as her expression turned to shock, disbelief, and sad.

'Why would Choti Ma do that? Is she doing all this because of her hatred toward her? She can't go that low..'

Preet thought but somewhere she knows she can do that. So that's the reason they didn't get dinner last night.

Preet close her eyes as she felt tears in her eyes and took a long breath. She look at the time and then look at the helper.

"Malti Didi, app please jadi se coffee prepare kr dijiye. I will quickly made an omelet for Veer, " she told her while she took out 3 eggs.

"Ji,"

She hurried prepared two omelets and cut an apple for Veer. It is what she could manage at that time.

Veer entered the dining room to find it empty. This is unusual but he doesn't think much. He take his place when he saw Preet coming with their breakfast.

"Where is everyone?" he asked while she was placing his breakfast and coffee in front of him.

"Everyone had their breakfast already," she told him giving him a fake smile. She can't digest the fact that Urmila's hate is turning so intense for her and Veer.

"So early," he frowns his eyebrow as he slips his coffee.

"Hmm…" she just hummed and was about to go inside the kitchen.

"Where is your breakfast?" he asked not seeing her plate.

"I am not feeling hungry. You eat I am coming,"

He hold her hand and gesture her to see beside him. She silently sat on the chair while looking at him.

He forward the bowl of chopped apple.

"Don't keep your stomach empty in the morning. Have them. Malti!"

He said in a stern voice and called their house helper.

"Ji Bhaiya," she asked quickly coming there.

"Bring juice for Preet," she nodded and walked inside the kitchen before coming back with a glass of mixed juice.

Preet is silently looking at him with love and felt her eyes burning getting emotional at his care.

He is enough for her. His care is what she wants. She doesn't care if Urmila hates her or ever this world. She is happy and content as long as he is with her. She has him and she will always be there for him. She is ready to face everything and everyone for them.

"Stare at me later first finish them, Wifey," he said and smirked at her, catching her looking at him.

She bite her lower lips and started eating apple ignoring his words.

"I am not looking at anyone," she lied on his face. He chuckles still having a teasing smile on his lips.

Preet was going toward her car, leaving for her work when she saw Urmila sitting with Avni in the garden and feeding her fruits with her hand. She is looking happy and loving caressing Avni's head.

Preet look away feeling bad for herself and sat inside the car. She look at them for the last time before driving her car out of the Rajvansh Villa premises.

She is driving while looking straight and slowly felt tears forming in her eyes. What happened today hurts her too much. She slows down her car while thinking about everything happening with her and Veer in their own house.

She is not asking much just a little care, love, and respect for herself and her husband.

She noticed many times how elders treated Veer like a outsider.

But he shows his feeling and ignores their cold attitude toward him.

Dadi cares but it's like something stopping her from showing her love for him.

Chote Papa may care for him or maybe not, she doesn't know.

As she never saw them talking and interacting with each other besides business-related things.

Or may seeing Choti Ma disliking toward them stops him after all he won't leave his wife for them.

Veer is like a son to him but not his son. There is a difference.

It's not mean they meant anything to him and he shouldn't care for them. He should. They supported him and didn't leave him when he lost his parent. That's the reason she doesn't want to create drama in the morning for the discrimination Urmila doing.

Preet sighed and shake her head to stop herself think about all these things. She is already feeling a headache.
