Damini serves food for her and smiles at her. They silently had their breakfast. As soon as she finished her food she went to room.
And this continues for the whole month. Everyone was trying their best to comfort her and put her out of the trauma but she remained the same, alone and hopeless.
Ranveer used to come to her room and try to talk with her but gets only one or two words from her. Sometimes she reacts to his talk which was very rare but it gives him hope every time her lips curve so slightly when he reminds her about their childhood memories.
After 1 month,
Deepti and Ranveer were beside each other as their family gathered to decide their marriage date and Rajveer and Urmila's engagement date.
Deepti is smiling with a little blush on her face as she looks at Ranveer from her side eyes.
Naina is sitting beside Damini and feeling happy for her best friend and Rajveer. Ranveer looks at her blank face every now and then to make sure she is comfortable with so many people around her. She has become anti-social since that incident.
Deepti's smile fell when she noticed his eyes, not Naina. She looks at Naina who is whispering something in Damini's ear to which she nodded her head and patted her head. Her eyes turn hard and she clenches her jaw in anger.
Naina stood up making Ranveer look at her in question but he didn't ask her. He saw her walking toward the stairs to go upstairs.
To get attention, Deepti places her hand over his. Ranveer turns his eyes to her and smiles slightly seeing her smiling at him.
"I am so happy Ranveer ji," she said looking down with a blush cheek.
Ranveer gives her a forceful smile. Why suddenly he felt sad and unhappy about his wedding. He himself said yes when his mother asked him. But it's like something has changed. His heart is not happy. It's like he is not doing right. But why?
"NAINAA!!"
He comes out of his hearing her mother's scream. He looked where she was looking and saw Naina on the floor.
Everyone ran toward the base of the stairs. Ranveer looks at her pale face and holds her in arms with a worried and scared face.
"Rajveer called the doctor fast!" he heard his father saying in a concerned tone.
"Naina…hey, open your eyes," Ranveer whispered, feeling his throat tighten in pain.
"Ranveer took her to the room," Ranveer nodded and picked her up in his arms before going to her room. Damini and Mahendra also follow him to upstairs
Dipti and Urmila and their mother also go with them. Deepti is looking annoyed and frustrated thinking Naina is acting and fooling everyone. While Urmila was genuinely feeling bad for Naina's condition.
Ranveer's heart is beating fast as he is waiting for the doctor to come out of the room and inform about Naina's health.
Damini was with Naina in the room.
The door opens and the doctor comes out of the room with a troubled look on her face.
Suddenly he heard a loud painful cry of Naina making his heart drop in anxiety
"What happened, Doctor?" he asked with nervousness and fear in his voice.
The doctor sighs deeply.
Ranveer was listening to her every word and with every word his rage was increasing.
He looked at her with his blood shot eyes and gritting teeth making her stop speaking and gulp in fear.
"Sumitra Ji, you better not talk in our family matters," Mahendra said dangerously with a warning underlying in his tone.
"And dare you to say anything about my daughter, I will not think twice before making your life hell," Sumitra scared badly, seeing both father and son glaring deadly at her as if they would kill her with their eyes.
"Mahendra Ji, I am just worried about our kids. People will tal-"
"ENOUGH!! Stop right there," Everyone flinched as Ranveer shouted loudly. Sumitra looks shocked and frightened.
"No one will say a word to Naina," saying he turned around and walked away from there.
Naina's crying sound lowered as he was walking away from her room. A painful lump fell in his throat and tears filled his bloodshot eyes.
He couldn't take it. It hurt like hell seeing his supporting and loving friend in this condition. It broke him completely when he looked at her lifeless and straight face.
Damini is caging Naina in her motherly embrace seeing her breaking completely. She is crying with her.
"AHhhh!!! Maa!! Why?!!!" she yells while crying her heart out holding Damini tightly to herself.
"I can't take it, Ma. I don't want to live. Please kill me," Damini shook her head, hugging her and hiding her in her embrace.
"Calm down, Naina," she whispered, rubbing her back.
Everyone has their eyes teary seeing her crying like a baby. But Deepti and Sumitra look at her in annoyance. Sumitra curses her in her mind.
Damini and Mahendra were sitting in the living room with a gloomy face after Damini made her sleep.
Deepti and Urmila are sitting silently beside their mother.
"What about marriage and engagement," Suddenly Deepti asked hesitantly, making Damini and her husband look at her in disbelief and anger.
"Dipti!! Didn't you see the Naina condition," Damini said while Urmila looked at her sister as if she got mad.
"Ma, just abort her baby. She will be fine after a few months. I understand her but she should now move on instead of sticking to her past. I think we should marry her off after her abortion," Deepti said in her low voice while everyone was looking at her as if she went crazy.
How can she be so heartless?
"Di!! What are you even saying?" Urmila whispers give her bewildered look.
"But who will marry such a girl and now she has the dirty blood of that man inside her growing," Sumitra said with fake worry but her mocking tone didn't go unnoticed by anyone.
"I will marry her then," They all turn to see Ranveer coming inside the living room looking like a mess with his displaced hair and puffy red eyes as if he was crying.
"That child has my Naina's blood. And I will give that child my name. He/she is be my child from today. Everyone should get this thing in their head,"
Deepti felt her body go rigid in shock hearing his words. She couldn't let out a word from her mouth in shock. She run to him and hold his hands,
"What are you saying, Ranveer ji? We are soon going to marry. Don't worry take as much as time you want but not say like this," Deepti said
"I am sorry, Deepti but I can't do it," he said in guilt but there is determination in his eyes.
She took a step back in shock while looking at him in betrayal.
