Chapter 10 Endless Replays

Gu Chen’s mom had never approved of Lin Weiwei, and now she was convinced the girl had ruined her precious son.

She stormed over to my parents and screamed, “What is your Lin family trying to pull? Can’t you control your psychotic daughter? We never wanted her anyway, yet you let her throw herself at my son and seduce him. Disgusting.”

The words “psychotic” hit Mom like a knife. Being accused of pushing her daughter to chase men was even worse.

Mom, who lived for face, couldn’t take the insult.

She collapsed on the spot, turning into a fragile drama queen, sobbing delicately.

Dad refused to back down. “Sister-in-law, watch your words. It’s clearly your son Gu Chen ruining my daughter. Look who’s clinging to whom.”

The gentle face-cupping from before had turned into pinching in the endless replays, blood smeared from the kisses.

Lin Weiwei appeared pale and drained, blood smeared across her lips and chin from the repeated forceful kisses.

Gu Chen’s mom had nothing to say to that.

Dad’s inner businessman took over. He twisted everything. “Old Gu, just let them be together. Look how much Gu Chen loves Weiwei—they can’t even be separated. My family isn’t old-fashioned. We agree to let Weiwei marry into your family.”

“You—” Gu Chen’s mom choked, unable to finish.

She glanced at Gu Chen and saw his eyes red, tears streaming down.

His body kept moving on repeat, but the tears looked real, like he couldn’t stop them.

Gu Chen’s mom noticed and seemed to connect the dots.

“My son is crying. He must not want this. You must have done something to him—forcing him to marry Lin Weiwei. Did you put some kind of curse on him?”

She seemed certain she’d found the answer, telling Gu Chen’s dad to pull her son away while she lunged at Lin Weiwei herself.

I thought no one could top the earlier chaos, but she was on another level.

Lin Kai, who’d been missing in action for a while, finally stepped in to block her punches. He didn’t dare hit back—he still needed the Gu family’s favor—but no one was allowed to touch his precious sister.

After more than an hour of madness, the 99 replays finally ended.

Gu Chen’s dad managed to drag him free.

Gu Chen dropped to his knees, convulsing and vomiting nonstop. He’d eaten that bloody steak to look cool, not because he liked the taste.

Ninety-nine bloody kisses had filled his mouth with iron. He’d probably never want to kiss anyone again.

“Gu Chen. I know you love me. I love you too. Even if you suck me dry, I’m willing as long as we’re together.” Lin Weiwei clung to him, voice soft and loving.

Gu Chen heard that and panicked. Another round would kill him.

He shoved her away hard. “I don’t want to be with you—I’ll die. Beat me to death, I still won’t be with you.”

Lin Weiwei hit the floor.

Lin Kai lost it, his face twisting with fury as if demanding how Gu Chen dared push his sister.

He swung a fist straight into Gu Chen’s face.

Gu Chen, still reeling, took the hit. No one had ever dared strike him—not even his own father. Instinct kicked in—he punched back.

I almost cheered. This was better than I’d hoped. Two domineering heirs brawling.

I silently commanded the Plot Replay System. Replay their fight ninety-nine times.

One punch from you, one punch from me.

In front of everyone’s stunned eyes, Gu Chen drove a fist into Lin Kai’s jaw; Lin Kai answered with a hook to Gu Chen’s cheek, blood spraying with each impact.

No words. Just fists.

More dramatic than any soap opera.

Rich heirs fighting over love—tomorrow’s headline was guaranteed.

Lin Weiwei rushed in, heroine mode activated.

“Don’t fight.”

“Don’t fight over me.”

“Please stop.”

Her pleas only made them hit harder.

I mentally commanded the Plot Replay System to double the speed.

They turned into prizefighters, hooks whistling through the air.

Lin Weiwei’s shrieking was getting on my nerves.

I’d almost forgotten about her.

Plot Replay System, Load Slot. Lin Weiwei stair-rolling replay.

The Plot Replay System responded at once. Load Slot loaded. Forty-six replays left. Starting now.

Lin Weiwei stiffened like she’d been shocked, shot up, bolted upstairs, and shouted at the air, “Chen Wan, they’ll only ever believe me. This time, I’ll drive you out of the Lin family for good.”

“Sister, don’t.”

Then she flung herself sideways down the stairs.

Everyone forgot the heir fight.

Lin Weiwei’s performance shocked them all over again.

Was the fake heiress framing the real one by hurting herself?

Why announce it out loud?

Trying to trend?

Had she lost her mind over losing Gu Chen?

Her acting could crush half the paralyzed stars in entertainment.

Both families finally snapped out of it. This was too deranged.

Some tried to separate Gu Chen and Lin Kai. Others rushed to help Lin Weiwei.
