CHAPTER 49 #3
The word tears from his lips, and the sound sends a rush of heat through me. Because for the first time, I realise just how much I affect him. How much power I have over this man. And I love it.
I’m just as lost in the moment as he is.
Just as consumed. Just as desperate. I know he is close.
I can see it in his expression, can feel it in the way his body tightens.
But then, Raghav suddenly stops me. For one terrifying second, I think I’ve done something wrong.
Pulling away, I immediately look up at him.
My cheeks are still aching, and my eyes are burning with tears. But before I can even ask, Raghav pulls me up. I straddle him once again as he hooks his fingers into my shorts and tugs at them impatiently. I raise my hips and quickly get rid of them.
He pulls me back to him again, kissing me hard, tasting himself on my tongue, before his fingers slip inside me and begin stroking me in return.
The sensation of his fingers moving through my wetness is too much.
As much as I want him to continue, I still pull away.
Tonight, I’m too desperate for more, and every second of delay is testing my patience.
Equally desperate, Raghav gives his length another hard stroke before adjusting me over him.
He grabs my hips as I sink down onto him, inch by inch, until he’s fully inside me.
For weeks, we’ve been careful. For weeks, we’ve put recovery, healing, and everything else ahead of what we wanted.
But tonight, there’s nothing standing between us anymore.
I ride him slowly at first, then gradually increase my pace, while his hands squeeze and fondle my breasts.
I move faster as I fight for my release.
I’m too close. So is he. Raghav’s fingers dig into my hips as he pulls me down harder, his hips thrusting up to meet every movement of mine.
The friction, the angle of our bodies, everything feels too perfect.
Every thrust hits the right spot. I’m too full, too consumed by him right now.
The world fades away again until it’s just us in this moment.
Minutes later, a wave of pleasure begins to swirl within me.
I brace my palms against his chest and throw my head back, finally finding the release I have been seeking.
Seconds later, Raghav follows with a low, guttural groan.
All the strength leaves my body after that, and I collapse against him, completely spent.
His arms immediately come around me, holding me close as he slowly strokes my back, anchoring me to him.
Silence fills the room. I’m still on top of him, and he’s still inside me.
“You okay?” he asks.
I smile and push myself up slightly until I can see his face. “I’m more than okay.”
The tension in his shoulder eases at my words. Then, he rolls us over.
“Good.” He grins. “Let’s put the couch to good use. Our next session is happening there.”
I couldn’t agree more. In fact, ever since Haider’s surprise gift arrived, my overactive imagination has already come up with quite a few ideas for how to make the experience memorable for my husband.
Raghav kisses the top of my head. “I love you, Princess.”
“I love you more,” I say, looking back at him.
After everything we have survived and everything we nearly lost, being here together still feels like a miracle.
He rests his forehead against mine as my fingers slide into his hair.
And when he kisses me again, there is no urgency left in either of us.
There’s only relief, love, and the quiet certainty that, despite everything that tried to tear us apart, we have finally found our way back to each other.
The rest of the world slowly fades away as he gathers me into his arms, both of us surrendering again to the peace we fought so hard to earn.
RAGHAV
Few hours later.
Siya is curled against me now, fast asleep, her head resting over my heart. I lower my gaze and watch her for a long moment, taking in the soft rise and fall of her breathing and the way her fingers remain loosely curled against my chest even in sleep.
My fingers move through her hair as my thoughts drift back over everything that brought me here.
A small smile touches my lips. For all these years, I thought redemption meant walking away from violence and leaving the mafia behind.
I thought it meant living a quiet life, far away from everything I had once been.
I was wrong. Redemption was never a destination I had to reach.
It was never about escaping my past. It was this.
Finding love after spending a lifetime feeling lost and finding peace where I least expected it.
It was the family waiting for me when I finally stopped running and the people who chose to love me despite my past.
My gaze falls on Siya again, and I realise how everything has come full circle. Every wound I carried, every nightmare that chased me, every piece of my past… all of it led me here.
To her.
Redemption was never about changing who I was. It was about finding my way home.
