Chapter 30 Epilogue

Three Years Later...

As I busily prepared for my little boy's third birthday party, a wave of mixed emotions washed over me.

How could I not reflect on the chaotic beauty of the day he was born?

It felt like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday.

I vividly remembered that moment when everyone had rushed off to the hospital leaving me behind, Noah, who sensed I was not in the car half way there turned around and came back.

After what felt like an eternity or eleven long hours, to be exact, I was finally in the delivery room, gripped by pain that seemed endless.

Each contraction felt like I was being rocked in a stormy sea, toss between exhaustion and that raw, overwhelming anticipation.

Then, Dr. Jones burst into the room with a determination I desperately needed.

"Okay, Luna Queen, this is it!" she exclaimed, her voice a beacon of hope.

As she began to count down, adrenaline surged through me.

"Push, Luna! I can see the head!" she urged, and with all the strength I could muster, I gave one final push.

But in that moment, I felt a crunch right before the purest sound sliced through the tension; my son's first cry.

It knocked the breath out of me and replaced all the pain with a rush of indescribable joy.

After they cleaned him up, Dr. Jones placed our baby boy, our beautiful Jayden Hendrick Kingsley in my arms. "He's perfect," I thought, gazing at his tiny, fragile form framed by those baby blue eyes and soft light brown hair.

In that moment, my heart swelled with warmth; I knew this little boy would break hearts one day.

Snapping back to reality, I was jolted by a familiar voice. "Mommy!" My three-year-old son shouted, charging toward me and grabbing my leg like a little monkey. "Dani stole my car, and she won't give it back!"

Dani was Lucas and Ashley's daughter, left in the care of my brother Liam and his mate Jess.

A day after Dani was born they left the pack.

It was a tough decision to leave behind their pup, but I was glad they found peace elsewhere.

Still, having Dani around added a new layer of excitement and mischief.

I bent down, meeting Jayden's wide, pleading eyes.

Turning to Dani "Now, honey, that's not very nice," I said gently, ruffling her hair.

"If you want to play with the car, you have to ask first." Then I turned to Jayden, adding, "Remember to share.

Just give her a chance, and I promise she'll return it. "

He nodded so earnestly, then kissed both me and Dani on the forehead before bouncing off to find another toy. He was so gentle and understanding at times.

Just then, Noah walked in, and my heart did that little flip it always does.

He looked so handsome. "There's my stunning wife," he said, enveloping me in a warm embrace.

I felt safe, cherished. "Everything's ready, and the guests have all arrived.

" Sharing a quick glance, we made our way outside to greet everyone.

Two hours later, as the sun began to dip low in the sky, the laughter of the kids echoed around us an orchestra of joy.

Finally, only our parents, Liam, Jess, and our little family were left sitting outside, sharing slices of leftover birthday cake and savouring delightful conversations.

I took a moment to soak it all in, watching the children run around, their giggles rising like magic in the air.

Gratitude surged in me; I silently thanked the moon goddess for this life we had created, filled with so much love.

Each wound and laugh along the way had sculpted me into who I was today, and I realized I wouldn't change a single thing. All those moments, the heartaches, the joys they had brought me exactly where I was meant to be.

And just like that, I tucked this perfect day into my heart, knowing that love would always be the greatest adventure.

The End.
