The Repair Shop of Second Chances

Simon Luray arrives in Dunlow for a six-week contract to inventory and shut down Morrow & Mend, a dead woman’s repair shop he intends to close without looking back.

A cracked cup warms in his hands and someone else’s memory pours through him, and soon damaged things are exposing the unfinished intentions of those who loved them while each mend leaves an echo that begins to tax his body.

The only person who can make sense of the shop’s strange craft is Philip, a heritage horticulturist who once supplied its living materials, and working beside him turns caution into trust, attraction, and a slow-burning bond Simon never planned to feel.

The deeper they go into the shop’s history, the clearer it becomes that its former keeper paid a devastating price for carrying the magic alone, and the old repairs are already coming apart.
