Chapter One. #2

“Little nun was forced into this at the young age of seven. Poor kid wasn’t even given a chance; she’s been trying to escape for fifteen years,” Belladonna said.

“Nun. They forced you to become one; you’re gonna make that name your own. From now on in, you answer to Nun alone.” Sapphire grinned, and it was frightening. “Welcome to the girl gang, babe; you’re going to be a Royal Harlot prospect, just like the rest of us.”

“How do you know that about me?” I asked weakly as Sparrow brought me a glass of water. I cupped it and sipped carefully.

“Because we’re special and so are you,” Sapphire beamed. “Welcome to your new family.”

Priest – 2025

“Where is she?” I demanded as my aunt and uncle swapped worried glances. I sat in their cosy, expensive living room in my suit that cost more than Ross made in four months. They’d both been avoiding eye contact with me.

“Ethan, Brielle’s at camp. We told you this,” Ross said.

“And I don’t believe you. For a year, whenever I’ve called, you’ve had an excuse for her not talking to me,” I snarled.

“Ethan, you’re being paranoid. Brielle is having the time of her life,” Bella insisted. “We’re aware you’re leaving soon, and she’ll be devastated to have missed you. But she’s nearly sixteen; you understand what teenage girls are like.”

The lies dripped from their lips, and I shook my head. Then I smiled grimly. “But Aunt Bella, I’m back for good. Brielle begged me to come home, so I have.”

They both turned pale, confirming my suspicions.

“Quit your job abroad? No, not you,” Ross said jovially. “You’ll hate that.”

I smirked; they believed I worked as a troubleshooter for failing companies. “That’s my choice. Now, what camp is Brielle at?”

They swapped worried glances as a cold feeling settled in my gut. “What the fuck is going on?” I demanded, straightening a cuff. That was a warning sign. “Where is my cousin?”

“Brielle…um…” Bella stammered. I got up and stared at them before storming through their house. I headed up the stairs as they followed me.

“Wait, Ethan!” Ross insisted. I didn’t and opened the door to Brielle’s bedroom. I stopped, stunned. It was a dressing room now, filled with clothes. There was no bed, no drawers, no stuffed teddies, nothing of Brielle. My jaw ground as Ross and Bella rushed in.

“Where. Is. Brielle?” I barked.

“She ran away!” Aunt Bella gasped.

“Since when?” I yelled.

“A while!”

“It’s been more than a while if you got rid of her stuff.

Don’t bullshit me!” I roared. I spotted a frightened face peeking from the room opposite and shoved Ross away.

The bedroom door slammed shut, and I kicked it open.

Blair, Ross’ spoiled bitch of a daughter, squealed and skittled away.

My spine stiffened as Ross burst in with Bella and placed themselves in front of her.

Slowly, I walked over to Blair’s bed and picked up two of Brielle’s stuffed toys I’d sent.

I glanced around and saw too many belongings that were Brielle’s.

The gifts I’d sent this past year were prominently displayed.

My eyes landed on a jewellery box, and I opened it, and my teeth ground together.

Inside were precious items I’d given Brielle, including her mother’s jewellery.

“No fuckin’ way would Brielle have left this behind.”

“She did!” Bella exclaimed.

I turned slowly and pulled my gun. Their eyes widened, and I put on a silencer. Without a second thought, I shot Ross in his knee. Both Bella and Blair screamed.

“Shut up or I shoot that bitch through her head,” I ordered. Bella and Blair whimpered as Ross rolled around holding his leg.

“The next bullet goes into Blair’s knee if you lie to me again. Continue lying after that, and I’ll shoot her other leg,” I said calmly.

“Okay, okay!” Bella wailed.

“Where is Brielle, for the last time?”

“We sold her to get married,” Bella sobbed.

I stiffened, and my gut twisted. Brielle was sixteen this year. That meant she’d been sold when she was fifteen.

“You did what?” I asked quietly.

“Someone at the church liked her a lot. I mean, he wanted to marry her and everything, but Brielle wouldn’t give him the time of day,” Ross babbled.

“She said he was too old for her,” Bella cried. “He was only thirty-five; she was being picky!”

“Picky?” I whispered. “A thirty-five-year-old man fancied your fifteen-year-old niece, and you think she’s being picky? So, you sold her and took all her things and then kept accepting my ten k each month, and stole my gifts and gave them to that cunt?”

“Ethan!” Bella cried, wringing her hands.

“Collect everything that belongs to Brielle and pack it. Right now. If you call the cops, Blair will eat a bullet.”

An hour later, Brielle’s stuff was in the back of my SUV.

I turned to the family. “You had a home invasion. Didn’t see who it was.

Whisper my name, and I’ll return. And while I torture you two, I’ll ensure Blair’s shoved into prostitution, and I’ll make sure you stay alive to watch her repeatedly sold to men.

Am I clear? Brielle was your niece, Bella.

She was Uncle Jon and Aunt Marcie’s only child, and you treated her terribly.

She didn’t even cost you a fuckin’ cent because I paid for her.

Except I wasn’t; I was funding your lifestyle instead.

Life is about to become very difficult for you.

You shouldn’t have shit on your blood, Bella,” I promised.

I started to leave, then stopped and turned back with a smile. “Just in case you’re doubting I have that power, heard of The Priest? That assassin on the top ten most wanted list? Yeah, you get it,” I said as they all paled.

I’d been on the news several times; hell, every fuckin’ authority in America was after me, and I hadn’t even considered those abroad.

My message sent, I walked away. Within a week, I’d have emptied their bank accounts, Ross would die painfully, Bella and Blair would end up on the streets.

And they’d realise it was me who’d done that.

That was revenge for Brielle. I got into my SUV and drove towards the address they’d given me. I had a paedophile to kill.

“Please, I wasn’t aware!” Tim Dane yelled.

I smashed his knee with the sledgehammer, hearing the satisfying crunch of bones.

“What? Didn’t know what?” I yelled. The asshole lived on a small farm, alone; I could make as much noise as I wanted.

“About you!” he squealed.

I snorted. “Me? You’re worried about me and not kidnapping a fifteen-year-old girl to use as a sex slave?”

“Wrong! She’s my wife!” Dane yelled, and I smashed his foot. His sobs drowned out my growl.

“In this state, she can’t marry until she’s sixteen. You’re a dirty kiddie fucker, and I’m going to end you. I want to know where my cousin is,” I roared. “If you were genuine, you’d have married her legally and not paid for her.”

I swung again and crushed his hand.

“She ran away! The night I brought her here, Brielle struck me over the head and fled!”

“Did you touch her?”

“No! She escaped!”

“Tell me the fuckin’ truth.” I smashed his other knee.

“I kissed and grabbed her tits. They were firm and perky, and I tried to get my fingers in her panties, and that’s when she knocked me out,” he squealed.

The red mist descended, and I let rip. All I could see was my cousin’s sweet, scared face. I’d find Brielle, and nobody would ever harm her again.

Nun

I entered the clubhouse and grinned as Wylde swung Sapphire over his shoulder as she beat his ass and carried her away. I chuckled as he didn’t hesitate when she bit his butt, and he reached up and casually swatted her.

“Never thought I’d like a cop,” Sparrow said, sitting next to me.

“Nope. But he ain’t bad,” I replied.

“He’s trying to knock her up,” Belladonna announced, joining us.

I turned wide eyes on her. “Does Sapphire know?”

“No. But Wylde is determined,” Belladonna answered.

“You gonna tell her?” Sparrow murmured.

“Nah. She deserves a family, and Wylde will give her a crazy assed one.” Belladonna grinned.

“A cop and an outlaw biker.” I shook my head. “Who the hell would have thought it?”

“Not me,” Dagger bitched as she sat down. “Cass, a beer,” she ordered.

Cass nodded, grabbed a bottle, and popped the top off.

“When do you get your results?” Sparrow asked him.

“Oh shit, yeah man, they’re due soon, ain’t they?” Belladonna turned to face him, interested in the answer too.

“Next week,” Cass answered.

“See Sapphire, she’s got plans for you if you pass,” Sparrow instructed him.

“Will do, Veep,” Cass replied.

I glanced around the clubhouse. “Where’s Blue?”

“He went to town,” Cass said.

“Okay.” I had an itch that needed scratching, but only Blue knew how to hit the right spot. I’d have to wait. Life sucked sometimes.

“Pigs in the house!” I yelled, seeing Cassidy, Wyle’s Detective partner, and Captain Hatton, their boss, enter.

“Fuckin’ reborn virgin at the bar,” Cassidy shot back. I scowled and then laughed. Okay, that was a good one.

“Wanna join my stable, Cassidy?” I asked.

“Hell no. Lady, I’ve heard about you. No way would I keep up,” Cassidy replied.

My sisters cheered. “The nun who’s anything but!” Sparrow yelled, and we all whooped.

Yeah. Fuck my old life. Who’d ever go back?
