Chrysalis

An insect cannot crawl through the mud for an eternity. Forever fearing man’s boot crushing its fragile form. Pupation hardens the shell of this cage, an initiation into the change that no creature, large or small, can forever deny the hand of God.

Coiled. Enclosed. Energetic.

A slow death that invites the inevitability of change.

For one form must collapse to give birth to another.

And so I pupate.
