Chapter 4 #2
“I love you too.” She tiredly whispers.
I chuckle, carefully withdrawing from her then reach down with one hand and pull my shorts up.
I lower her dress over her pretty ass before picking her up then walking around to the front of the bench then sitting her down.
Quickly I zip then button my shorts before taking her thong from my pocket.
Squatting down I carefully wipe as much of our wetness from between her legs.
When I’m done, I place them back in my pockets then pick her up again to make the trek back to the house.
The next morning after breakfast I sat on the patio preparing for the meeting. While Father and I were at the meeting Monica and the others were going shopping and sightseeing. I took a sip of the Espresso Luna made me as Felix, Adam and Zo came out and took seats at the table.
“Are you sure you don’t want one of us to go with you and Andres?” Felix asks with concern.
“Yeah, I’m sure. This is something only the two of us can do. I’m sure you will all meet the others at some point but not right now. I need you three to be with the ladies and the kids to make sure nothing happens while their out. I’ll fill you in on everything when we return.”
Adam stabs the table with his pointer finger. “Fine, but if some shit goes down you better call us ASAP!”
“Without a doubt.” I state.
“I must say that you are looking mighty sharp, my man.” Zo compliments.
Today I was wearing one of my custom-made black fitted suits with a crisp no collar white shirt under the jacket.
The only jewelry I wore was my figaro chain, my Rolex, gold cuff links and my gold wedding band.
I wasn’t flashy so I was not going to act like I was now.
I had Monica brush my hair back into a ponytail and I cleaned up my mustache and beard.
“Thank you.” I return.
“Son, are you ready?” Father asks as he steps out onto the patio.
Adam whistles clapping his hands. “Damn, God Father!”
Father indeed looked like he could have been in the movie with his tailor-made black pin striped suit. He had a white collared shirt under with a black tie. Like me, he didn’t have on a lot of jewelry just a gold chain, a watch and his onyx and gold pinky ring on his left hand.
“I take it you approve of my attire.” Father says to Adam.
“Hell, yeah. Matter of fact what size is that suit, I think I can fit it.” Adam jokes.
Father lets out a hearty laugh before saying, “How about I just send you to my tailor and he can create one for you?”
“That’ll work too.” Adam responds with a goofy smile.
My baby brother was a trip. I could see him now in his suit and fresh pair of those Stacy Adams that he loves so much.
“Mi scusi signore, la macchina è pronta (Excuse me sir, the car is ready).” Giamo informs at the doorway.
“Grazie, Giamo. Saremo a destra fuori (Thank you, Giamo. We’ll be right out).” Father tells him. Giamo nods before disappearing back into the house.
“Alright gentlemen, we shall see you in a few hours.” Father informs them.
Felix stands resting his hands on the table. “You just make sure nothing happens to Axl. If you think anything looks or smells fishy you better call us quick. I’d hate to have to fuck this little town up over my brother but I will.”
“Duly noted, son.” Father responds grasping his shoulder.
I take one last sip of my drink before standing and fixing my suit. “I’m ready.” I say fastening the button on my suit jacket. “Just let me tell Monica we’re heading out.”
“Of course, I’ll meet you in the front.” Father states.
I shake hands with guys before going inside to find Monica. I find her in the den with the ladies and kids.
“Monica, we’re about to go.” I say to her. She stops chatting with the ladies and comes to me.
She fusses over my lapels. “You got this, Axl. I love you.” She puckers her lips as she stands on her tip toes to give me a kiss.
I press my lips to her soft lips. “I love you too.”
“I love you too, Daddy!” Ladybug yells from the couch giggling.
“I love you too.” I state before giving Monica one last kiss.
I meet Father on the front steps. The driver of a blacked-out limo stood patiently by the back-passenger door.
“You ready to officially become the head of the Romano family?” He asks staring straight ahead.
Reaching into my jacket, I pull out my sunglasses and slide them on.
“I was born ready.” I confidently reply before walking down the stairs with him behind me.
The driver opens the door when we get closer.
I get in first then Father. The driver closes the door then gets in to take us to our destination.
Thirty minutes later after riding through the winding roads of the countryside we entered the city of Cefalu`.
People filled the streets either selling or buying items from vendors.
Monica and the ladies were going to have a field day shopping here later.
Men and women stood next to carts with fresh vegetable and fruits.
There were even vendors selling freshly caught fish and seafood.
Everyone had friendly happy faces as they interacted with one another.
I could definitely see us coming back here more than twice a year.
When the car finally stopped, we were in front of a small café called Little Heaven. The driver got out and opened the door. Once we were out, Father whispered something to the driver who nodded then closed the door.
I followed father as he entered the café.
For the streets to be as crowded as they were this place barely had any customers.
It had an old rustic Italian feel to it.
The man standing behind the counter indicated with a tilt of his head for us to go to the back.
Father barely acknowledged him as we continued.
I’m sure he has been here many times and knew where to go anyway.
Walking down a hall littered with boxes of supplies on both sides, we arrived at a large closed door with men laughing and talking loudly on the other side.
Father eyes me before doing a series of knocks that seemed like a code.
Instantly the voices quieted as the door was slowly opened by a rotund older gentleman dressed in designer shirt and slacks.
The smell of expensive cigars flows from the room.
“Andes, ce l’hai fatta (Andres, you made it).” The man greets opening the door wider.
“Sì, Mario (Yes, Mario). Father says shaking his hand. He told me about Mario on the ride over. Mario Panazzo is the owner of the café and has been like a moderator among the families. Any meetings that were conducted in the past happened here. I guess Little Heaven was common ground for the heads.
“Ah, questo dev'essere tuo figlio. Ti assomiglia proprio nei tuoi anni più giovani (Ah, this must be your son. He looks just like you in your younger years).” Mario states gawking at me.
“Mario, this is my son Axl Salvant-Romano. Axl this Mario Panazzo.” Father introduces.
Now Mario stares harder at me then switches his focus on Father. “Non parla italiano (He doesn’t speak Italian)?”
I remained silent as Father smirks replying, “No, Mario he doesn’t speak our language so could you please speak English so he can understand what you’re saying.”
“Of course, of course. Nice to meet you, Axl.” Mario says with his deep accent.
“Nice to meet you too, Mario.” I return shaking his extended hand.
“Come in, everyone is here.” He states waving us in.
Stepping into the large room there were three gentlemen sitting at long table, two with older men I assume are their fathers, sitting next to them.
A bar was on the right side of the room with a bartender behind it.
Pictures of older men hung on the walls.
Those must have been the Dons of the past. Leather couches and chairs with tables sat around the room.
“Excuse me gentlemen, you all know Andres Romano well this is his son Axl Salvant-Romano. He is the purpose of this meeting. Andres has named him to be the new head of the Romano Family.” Mario informs them before taking a seat on one of the couches.
He raises his hand up for the bartender who brings him a drink.
Behind my shades I get a good look at the three men.
They seemed to be around my age and size but the one sitting at the head of the table with his leg draped over the arm of his chair was larger than the other two.
His dress shirt is unbuttoned to his chest showing of his gold chains as he studies me as if he’s sizing me up.
His dark hair is cut short on the sides and long in the top.
Rings adorn his fingers along with a gold and diamond Rolex on his left wrist. Without even being told I knew he was Davide Russo head of the Russo family also known as The Silent Killer.
He watches me with calculating eyes. Yeah, we can dance anytime you want to motherfucker.
His father, Alessandro, smiles as he nods his head at us.
“Perché parlavi in inglese, Mario (Why were you speaking in English, Mario)? The sandy brown guy to the right of the table questions.
Mario shrugs his burly shoulders. “A quanto pare, il giovane Romano non parla italiano (Apparently, the young Romano can’t speak Italian).” He replies sarcastically. I had to stop myself from twisting my head in his direction.
“Ah, very well. Axl, I am Luca Mancino head of the Mancino family and this is my father, Luca Sr. Please, you and Andres have a seat.” Luca offers pointing to the empty chairs at the table.
His father acts as if he would be anywhere else but here.
I’m sure he doesn’t agree with me being here due to his friendship with Giovanni.
I take a seat in the chair that is two down from his father. Father sits next to me crossing his leg over the other.
The guy on left finally speaks. “Axl, I’m Matteo Ricci. My father is not able to attend due to his health but Andres he told me to give you his regards.”
“Please, tell Leonardo I said thank you and I will try to get by to see him before I leave.” Father tells him.
