Epilogue #2

Felix gives it one more adjustment before letting it go. “I just want us to look our best. This is the first time all three of us will be walking out with father, so I want to make sure everything’s perfect.”

“First off, Felix nothing is ever perfect and second stop stressing over this. It’s just a dinner.” I tell him.

He nods. “You’re right.”

“Look at my boys!” Father says coming down the stairs. “You three make a father proud.”

“Thank you, father.” We state.

“Okay, so we’re going to go out through the exit on the far right of the house. Brittney has the tables facing the view of the cliffs so everyone will be facing that way. All eyes will be on us as we make our entrance.” He informs.

“Alright then let’s do this.” I say as we begin to walk through the house to the exit.

When we get there, father looks over his shoulder at us with a big smile before he opens the door.

As we stepped out, he leads us along a path to the backyard.

Rounding the corner of the house, we are stopped in our tracks when we notice the setup of the yard.

Four rows of white chairs sat on either of the aisle that was covered with a long white carpet.

Beautiful red, white and black roses hung around a large archway in front of the guests.

The same flowers were placed along the sides of the archway.

Standing in the middle of it was a priest as soft music filled the air.

In the front row on the left side sat Granny, Janet, Mattelyn and Brittney with empty seats in between them.

Behind them were Nolan, Simone, Maxillo, Dominique, Reese, Lincoln and Marco.

On the right side in the front row was Luca, Melinda who was holding baby Milly, Baby Luca, Matteo, Bridgette and Bronx.

Behind them sat Davide, India, Alessandro, Luna and Giamo.

What the hell was going on? “Father what is all of this?” I question as I stare at everything around us.

The ends of father’s mouth raises into the biggest smile. “This my boys is your wedding day. Now, follow me.” He strolls towards the archway and shakes the priest’s hands.

I look at my brothers who look just as confused as I do. Our wedding day?

“Axl, is this real?” Felix whispers.

Adam pulls out of his stupor and responds.

“Hell, yeah this is real. I planned on asking father about me and Imani getting married before we left and I guess the women had already beat me to the punch. I’m marring my woman today.

” He heads off down the path and kisses the ladies before joining father.

“You ready to officially do this in front of God and our family?” I ask Felix.

He smirks. “Hell, I’m a Salvant-Romano! I was born ready.” His crazy ass replies before making his way to father and Adam.

I take a deep breath and look up towards the sky. Just as I seen before, a white dove fly’s overhead. Mother. A sense of peace and love fills me as I nod my head taking the steps to unify Monica and I in eyes of God’s.

Father arranged us in the order we were to stand before he took his seat next to Brittney. It was me, Felix then Adam.

Seconds later the music changed to Stevie Wonder’s Ribbon in the Sky.

I chuckled as we watched Andres Jr. come out as the ringbearer.

He looked handsome in his black and white tuxedo.

He had his long hair brushed back hanging past his shoulders.

I told father if anyone tried to cut his hair, they were going to have to deal with me.

When Andres Jr. was close enough, we high fived him then I had him stand next to me.

I couldn’t help the proud father grin I gave when I saw my Ladybug walk down with Calla and Harper in their white flower girl dresses with red ribbons around the waist. They looked so adorable as they threw out red and white rose petals.

As they reached the end of the aisle, one by one we kissed them on their cheeks before they took their places on the other side of the archway.

Then the music changed again and everyone stood from their seats.

This time it was John Legend crooning his ballad All of Me.

My heart began to pound in my chest with nerves and enthusiasm to see my bride.

I didn’t have to wait long because moments later she and James came into view.

I gasped as I took in the beauty of my wife.

She had on a white strapless bridal gown that fit her body but flared out as it got lower.

She had her hair up in stylish bun with little white flowers around it.

As they approached us my hands became sweaty and I felt like my knees were about to buckle.

I bitched about having a wedding but I would gladly take all that back because Monica was stunning in her dress.

I was fighting the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes.

Monica smiled with tears in her eyes as they finally reached me.

James kissed her on her cheek before leaning over and whispering into my ear, “You know who I am now, so break my daughter’s heart, Don or no Don I will make you disappear.

” He gave a shit eating grin when he pulled away and offered me Monica’s hand.

I bowed my head knowing what he meant. Hell, I’m sure someday I’ll be saying the same shit to a guy who was trying to marry Ladybug.

James takes his place next to Mattelyn and took her free hand as she wiped away her tears with the other.

“This was going to be a surprise for you once I found out we were coming here but after we found out about Keirra and Felix...and we all know how much Adam and Imani wanted to get married, us ladies got together and made our wedding into a wedding for all of us. I hope you don’t mind.

” Monica rushes out staring at me with those beautiful brown eyes.

“Baby, you know I don’t mind. Damn you look good. If I didn’t have to wait until we said our vows, I would kiss you right now. Wait, this is why the three of you were acting funny this morning!” She blushes. “Oh, to hell with it we’re already married.” I say leaning down stealing a pre vows kiss.

“Excuse me young man, you’re supposed to wait until the end of the wedding to do that.” The priest whispers.

“Sorry, Padre.” I apologize taking Monica’s hands in mine.

“Oh, shit” Felix murmurs beside me. “My bad, Padre.”

Looking down the aisle, there stood Keirra and Edgar.

Oh, shit was right because Keirra looked amazing in her white wedding gown that was similar to Monica’s but she had lace fabric adorning hers.

I heard Felix’s breath quicken as they came down the aisle.

I guess they were taking too long because he took off meeting them halfway.

Edgar stared at him like he was crazy as Keirra giggles.

Felix took her other hand and together they walked her down the aisle.

When they arrived at their spots, Edgar did the same thing James did and whispered something in Felix’s ear that had his eyes grow big.

Keirra swatted her grandfather’s shoulder as she continued to giggle before Edgar gave Felix her hand. He then went to stand next to Granny.

Lastly, Imani and Albert appeared down the aisle.

She also looked lovely in her white satin wedding gown with thin straps.

It reminded me of the retro nineteen twenties dresses you see in the old movies.

I glanced over at Adam to see if he was going to meet her halfway like Felix did Keirra but he stood there with misty eyes watching his bride make her way to him.

When they were finally in front of him, I waited to see if Albert was going to whisper something in his ear like the others did but instead, he shook Adam’s hand before pulling him into a hug and patting him on his back then giving him Imani’s hand.

After Albert went to stand next to Mattelyn.

The music stopped as the priest began to say a prayer. Closing our eyes, we let his words of love, family and God fill our ears. When he was done echoes of amen surrounded us.

Then the priest asked, “Who gives these women to be married to these men?”

James is the first to say, “Her mother and I do.” Followed by Edgar then Albert.

The priest acknowledges them before having everyone take a seat.

If I’m being truthful, I don’t remember anything after that.

I was so taken aback by the beauty of my wife.

Monica had to elbow me when it was my turn to say I do.

I couldn’t wait for the priest to pronounce us man and wife.

I wanted to hold her in my arms and never let her go.

When the time came for him to utter those words, he didn’t finish his statement as Felix, Adam and I were already kissing our wives. Everyone stood cheering us on. When we finally came up for air, here stood the Salvant-Romano brothers. Married, happy, and surrounded by family.
