Chapter 21 #2
It was a dance of movement, of touch, of kisses that worked in unison. No awkward movements. It was as if they knew each other, that they were meant to be. Always meant to be.
Dravic spread her legs with his knee, and his manhood growing ever more needy when she spread them further, ready for him, welcoming him.
He moved over her slowly, but when he saw the need in her eyes, felt the eagerness in her body, he didn’t wait.
He entered her slowly, giving her time to get used to him, inching in, not wanting to hurt her until he could not wait any longer.
With a deep thrust he went deeper and her body stiffened.
He stopped and looked at her and caught the grimace of pain before it faded.
He silently cursed himself, but then she smiled and moved against him.
He could see that a slight pain still lingered in her eyes and the only thing he thought to do was to bring her as much pleasure as he could so that she would think of nothing else.
And he did.
He set a rhythm she easily matched as her hands firmly gripped his arms. Their rhythm grew faster, harder, and her grip tighter.
Adira was lost in a sensation she did not understand, nor did she care if she did. She felt free, truly free. And alive. So alive. No restraints held her, not even her lack of voice or hearing. At this moment, she was a woman like any other woman in the arms of the man she loved.
The thought flared the sensation beyond comprehension, and she burst with such pleasure that if she had a voice she would scream out with joy. Instead, she dug her fingers into the king’s arms and lost herself in the wave of pleasure that seemed never-ending.
He felt her climax. It raced through him so strongly that it sent him plunging over the edge and nearly roaring. But he clamped his mouth shut hard. He would have no one hear him. No one know they had become intimate… not yet.
He collapsed on top of her, his climax so strong he felt devoid of strength. Her arms wrapped around him, hugging him tight as if she didn’t want him to move, didn’t want to let him go. And he remained for a few moments, relishing the feeling of her love.
Adira reluctantly let go of him when he moved to roll off her and was pleased when he slipped his arm around her and tucked her against him.
She thought she would worry that she didn’t please him, yet she knew she did.
She felt it, felt his need, his pleasure, and how much he enjoyed it. How satisfied he was.
She snuggled against him, happy to be naked in his arms.
Dravic realized only then how silent their lovemaking had been and how he felt more satisfaction with Adira’s silence than he ever had with any woman who cried out in pleasure. But then he had not felt anything for those women. They had been there to satisfy a need, nothing more.
With Adira, he felt—felt something deep and unwavering. Something that was part of him. Something he could never do without. Not ever again.
He tapped Adira on the arm and she looked at him. He held his hand up and brought his pointer and middle finger together, locking them tight. Then he tapped her chest and his own with his locked fingers before holding them up again.
She smiled, understanding and touched his two fingers then pointed to him, then to herself. He was telling her they were together and that pleased her.
Then suddenly he spread them apart and that frightened her. Was he telling her they could not be? But, of course, they couldn’t. He was king and she was…
Dravic felt her grow taut in his arms and saw the fright in her eyes.
He quickly tapped her chest, then his own and shook his head firmly at the two separated fingers.
Then he crossed them, locking them so tight they seemed fused as one and nodded.
He hoped she understood that he was assuring her they would always be together.
That nothing or no one would ever separate them.
They belonged together, to each other… forever.
He leaned his head down and kissed her as if sealing a promise.
Adira’s heart swelled with joy. He wanted her, always. But how could that be when he was king? He would need to wed one day and have heirs.
There would be only one way for them to remain together and the thought troubled her.
Could she be like those women who visited him from time to time?
She had not given this thought, but then her heart had not allowed her to.
And not being able to hear or speak, what prospects did she think she had?
How she could feel such joy and pain at the same time, she did not know.
But she would hold onto the joy and tuck the pain away until that day it could stay tucked away no more.
She would cherish her time with him, and if—when—there came a time she would need to take her leave, she would.
She would find a place deep in the forest and live her life with her cherished memories.
Dravic tightened his arm around Adira, a worry of losing her suddenly tormenting him. He did not know how he would make it work between them, he only knew he would never let her go. He couldn’t.
Tonight their hearts became one and neither of them could live without the other. He was sure of it. And he would make sure that never happened. They would be together always.
He felt her ease in his arms, and he found himself calming as well.
All would be good. He was king. He would see it done.
