The Secret Club of Dead Boys

Zach has chosen to live through senior year in 2009, though he still has no friends, plenty of awkwardness, and an old suicide note he cannot quite throw away.

He does not expect Parker Reid, a brooding loner, to be the person who finds that note and recognizes a painful secret they share.

Parker starts calling them the Dead Boys Club, and Zach suddenly has company even more chaotic than his own as panic attacks, late-night emails, school plays, and road trips pile up.

Bit by bit, staying alive starts to feel like more than waiting out the days.

When Parker's parents threaten to send him away, an unexpected handful of friends makes both boys face what they stand to lose if they let go of each other.
