Chapter 30

Ilose myself in the book I’m reading and almost forget where I am.

Hours must have passed and I’ve snuggled myself in the bed now reading.

I don’t remember the last time I had this much time to myself to relax and read.

Seems almost wrong that I am being paid to do this but then I remind myself of what I have done so far and what is likely to come in the next seven days.

A knock at the door draws my attention and a bustling Cook enters the room with a delicious smelling trolley laden with food.

My stomach growls. I can’t believe I’m hungry again after everything I ate for lunch.

Cook must hear it too and chuckles, “Just in the nick of time by the sounds of it. I don’t want you starving, baby girl.

Let’s get you fed and rested back in your bed for tomorrow’s boys,” he says with a knowing smile.

He must know what everyone has in store for me. I blush a little.

“Your trolley of heaven smells divine, Cook,” I say and he gives me a full smile, his eyes twinkling behind his glasses.

“I can’t wait to feed you again Roxy.”

“Are you allowed to tell me what’s on the menu for tonight?” I ask.

“It would be my pleasure. To start we have a Parma ham my body feels heavy.

Surprisingly, I drift off to sleep like I’m at home.
