Chapter Twenty One

April Twenty Ninth

Juniper

June swept the dirt pile in the kitchen, finishing the chores that needed to be done before their barbecue that Wolfie decided to host. It would be the second time June and Wolfie would be with Fade, Whitney, Shianne and Max, all together. “Okay, I’m going to go shower.”

She told Brittanya who was cutting up a watermelon behind her.

“Okay, I should probably shower soon too, we have under two hours before people start showing up.”

June smiled at her as she turned down the hall and into her room. She picked up her phone off the dresser and it blinked on. A message from Wolfie had popped up, timestamped an hour before.

Wolfgang ‘Can’t wait to see you. Is it bring your own meat today? I’ll grab yours too.”

Juniper ‘Thank you, when will you be here?’

Wolfgang ‘I just got done at the gym, I was going to shower and stop at the supply store on my way. So an hour to an hour and a half? I’m not sure.’

Juniper ‘Okay, I just finished cleaning, I’m hopping in the shower. Are you spending the night? I don’t remember getting a definite answer or not.”

Wolfgang ‘Yes.’

Wolfgang

Wolfgang set his grocery bag on the counter, “Hey,”

He kissed June longer than normal.

“What was that for?”

She questioned him.

He grinned, “You mentioned your shower, how was it?”

“It was,”

She paused thinking of the right word, “fine.”

“Would have been better if it was with me.”

He held on to her and tugged at the skirt of her modest sundress. She rolled her eyes realizing any word would have had him make that comment after, good, bad, great, amazing.

June pushed away, “What do we have in here?”

She pulled out packaged meat, chips and a whole pie. “Pie?”

“That’s for later,”

He winked at June.

“Oh my gosh Wolfie.”

Brittanya closed the door from the backyard. “Gross.”

He smiled, caught red handed. “For dessert.”

“Mhmm. Sure.”

She opened the fridge pulling out a pitcher of cold water.

The front door chimed opening and Whitney and Fade spilled into the living room. She had her infamous bag that followed her from Fade’s house with endless loads of laundry inside. “Hey guys.”

She set her bag on the couch and grabbed the few bags from Fade, bringing them to the kitchen. “Will you help me with this?”

She had Fade carry her bag down the hall to her room and the tick of the door latching sounded down the hall.

June looked at the clock, thirty minutes. “Are you grilling?”

She handed Wolfie some tongs, “Since it was your idea to have it here.”

“Yes, I can grill.”

He grabbed them and followed June into the backyard. She turned to him as the door closed, “Is it lit?”

“I don’t know,”

She didn’t really care about the barbecue, “Did you hear back from Margaret yet?”

Wolfie sighed, “Yes, she said Jay and herself would look into it and if you need to, she said you could call her too.”

June rolled her eyes again. “Quit with that, what’s going on?”

He closed the lid to the barbecue and faced her.

“I’m just tired and irritated, I’ve been sleeping terribly all month." She looked up in his green eyes, "Sleeping at your house does help.”

“Just relax.”

He gave her a short kiss and thought to himself, ‘she wouldn’t be saying that if she knew that her possible ex lived a few doors down.’ “I’m not going to let anything or anyone get you. Let’s enjoy tonight.”

“I’m trying.”

She huffed watching him light the barbecue coals.

“Hey.”

The back door opened letting Whitney slip out. Fade opened the door wider and stepped behind her. Whitney hugged June tightly from behind, “I love you.”

June was surprised to hear Whitney say that. The one person she thought hated her originally from the beginning. “Love you too.”

She grabbed her arm.

“Look.”

She released June and walked around to face her. She assembled her raw knuckles as they read ladylike. “Isn’t that bad ass?”

“It looks really good. I love the heart by the k, it adds to your engagement ring.”

“I know right?”

Wolfgang stepped next to them and pulled Juniper into his arms, “When are you going to get one?”

He murmured.

“You should totally get one.”

Whitney agreed with him, turning back to Fade.

“Oh yeah? What should I get?”

“I don’t know, something simple. A flower, or a bird. Maybe my name.”

“Are you crazy?”

Her head pulled away.

“I’m teasing about my name. It’s so easy to mess with you right now Juniper, I'm sorry.”

He leaned in closer, resting his forehead on her brow. “Are you still going to therapy?”

“Yes. I’m just not convinced it's not him.”

“Have you seen him since?”

“No.”

She pulled away, lettinging his head drop. “I don’t want to talk about it anymore, we should start grilling. I’ll go get the meat.”

She turned to go inside while avoiding Whitney and Fade leaning against the patio set, even though they were into themselves at the moment.

She turned into the kitchen as the front door thudded with a knock and bee lined for the door, opening it to find the last guest to arrive, Max and Shianne. “Hey guys.”

She smiled.

“Hey Max.”

Wolfgang bellowed from the kitchen and startled June. She looked over her shoulder to see him grabbing the random meat packages. Something she said she was going to do.

Feeling that Shianne should make herself at home since she used to live there, she walked towards Wolfie who was eyeing her. “I’m sorry.”

Guilt came over her.

He opened the door for her to step out first, “For what?”

“I didn’t bring out the meat.”

“It's fine, you’re hosting.”

His soft lips smiled towards her. He kissed her before she exited, not caring that Shianne and Max were nearby. “I love you, can you grab me a clean plate?”

“Yes.”

*****

June bundled herself in a blanket, not even sure she was cold and waddled outside.

“Hey, turn off the light.”

Wolfie whispered to her before she closed the door.

“Why?”

She hissed.

“So we can see the stars better.”

“Oh,”

She closed the door and headed towards him, “I can’t believe how late everyone stayed.”

“Seems like everyone had fun.”

He looked down from the stars grinning at Juniper.

“What?”

Her eyebrows pressed together.

“I just noticed earlier Brittanya didn’t eat any of the pie. Did you not catch that?”

“No, why does it matter?”

She leaned against him sitting on the patio chair.

“I just thought it was funny.”

He motioned to the table, “There’s still a piece if you want it.”

His hand curved around her waist as she ignored him. “What’s everyone’s plan?”

“Whitney and Fade went into her room probably forty five minutes ago. Everyone else left and Brittanya was getting ready to go to bed, it’s almost midnight.”

“Hm.”

He looked back up.

“Did you want to go inside?”

She questioned as she nuzzled his shoulder.

“No,”

He stood before she could get comfortable, “Why don’t we go look at the stars in the grass?”

He unwrapped June and grabbed the almost bare pie tin, escorting her to the dark corner of her yard.

“I don’t know what’s back here.”

She warned him.

“It’s fine, hold this.”

She held the tin as he fanned out the blanket and then retrieved the pie from her. “Sit.”

June sat on her knees and watched Wolfie set the pie tin down as he sat across from her, “Why did you bring that? There’s no utensils.”

“Shouldn’t be a problem.”

He grabbed the container examining the slice until he swiped the middle of the pie, exhuming the cherry filling with his finger, holding it to Juniper.

She looked him in the eyes without saying a word, finally asking, “You want me to eat that off your finger?”

“Yes, don’t be wasteful.”

He watched as she opened her mouth, his eyes widened slightly as her lips circled his finger, letting him caress the velvet of her mouth. He split his fingers over her tongue, she pulled away while her warm lips caught his finger tips. His fingers refused to leave and worked their way back into her mouth. June’s siren eye’s beheld him, tantalizing him more.

She gave them a squeeze with her mouth before dropping them out. “Fuck.”

Wolfgang breathed with heavy eyelids. He launched towards her, finding her lips with the glow of the almost full moon. She pulled her feet out from under her and shifted her weight on to her side as he lowered her down.

“Wait.”

She pulled back and looked towards the house to see both back bedroom lights off. She found Wolfie’s eyes again behind his dark hair hanging over his brow, cutting the view of one eye. His hand on her thigh, he plunged back in to feel their tongues against each other. His loose hair brushing against her face, tickling alongside his beard. She became used to that, but when it was caressing her body, it stimulated her.

She rolled to her back and Wolfie took her spot with his back to the house. He dragged his lips away from her and stared at her body as he pulled her dress up, rubbing his whole hand on her thighs, to feel her soft skin. Surprised to see underwear, his mouth parted, “You’ve got underwear on this time, I never know with you.”

He began rubbing the material, looking at the pleasure on June’s face until he slipped his fingers underneath the elastic of the leg and into her in a smooth motion. Her chest heaved and her breath got heavy as he felt inside her.

Her eyes burned into him, “Do exactly what you’re doing, but against my upper wall.”

She whispered between breaths. He followed instructions twisting his wrist and felt her tighten around his fingers. “Shit.”

June purred, pulling her straps down, following the top part of her dress. Her nipples woke up to the cool air and grabbed them between her fingers. Wolfie angled down to mouth the breast close to him and June placed her hand on the back of his head. His beard stimulating her chest and the movement of his tongue sent her into convulsions. He lifted his head to watch her climax, feeling her muscles tighten around his wet fingers.

“God, why didn't you give me instructions before?”

He pumped his fingers slowly.

“Stop.”

She pushed her legs closed, twisting to remove his hand.

He kneeled, crawling onto her, “Don’t I get a turn?”

He groaned in her ear, biting her neck and felt her nod her head without a word. Wolfie palmed the sides of her ass grabbing the thin strap to her underwear and towed them to her ankles, draping both feet over one shoulder.

“I don’t know if I can be quiet, It’ll be too intense.”

She looked up at his serious expression and noticed the moisture glisten on his crooked lips.

His eyes twinkled with the flicker of his movement locking onto her eyes momentarily, “Let’s try. You don’t want us getting caught do you?”

He unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down his hips, a thunk hit his shirt and June squirmed. Propped over her with one hand, he lowered himself to her, his head rubbing the wet slit before she lifted her hips to consume him voluntarily.

June couldn't help herself, moans began rolling out with each thrust. Wolfie wouldn’t hear the end of it from his mom if he got caught, “Shh.”

He leaned down and slipped his tongue in her mouth before returning to his position. Her body rocked with each movement, teasing him between her breasts puckering at the cool air and glimpses of him driving in and out of the bottom of her dress. Close to finishing he lifted her dress to her stomach and steadied himself by resting a hand on the blanket next to her head before pulling out.

He glanced at Juniper's body, nipples harder than ever, her dress hiked over her hips and pinned his lips against hers. June watched fixing her straps as he sat upright and replaced her underwear before he adjusted himself back together.

Settling next to her he propped his head on an elbow and the other caressed her body, “I don’t know what it is about you Juniper.”

He kissed her again.
