Chapter 2
Gio
Sipping my tumbler of bourbon, I scan the crowd. It’s a busy Friday night at Bugatti’s and Hotel di Angelo. Both of which I own.
I glance again at the photo on my phone’s screen. Carissa Clarke. Twenty-eight. She has warm brown hair and forest green eyes. Rosebud lips that any man would imagine wrapped around his cock.
Normally, I don’t take a personal interest in those who owe me money. I have enforcers who deal with that aspect of my business. But Walter Clarke owes me a lot of money. A sizable debt. And from my understanding, he has no means in which to pay it off.
But he has a daughter. Carissa. She may be of use to me in collecting on her father’s debt. I’m going to find out. Tonight.
It took some digging, but I found out that Carissa’s supposed to have a date tonight in this very restaurant. Her friend Miranda is one of those people who couldn’t keep a secret if her life depended on it.
Carissa’s supposed to have a blind date with some man called Marcus. I found his name on the reservations list. Too bad he won’t be allowed on the premises.
As seven o’clock rolls around, I find my attention stolen by a curvy brunette at the bar. Her green dress hugs each and every one of those luscious curves. A round ass I want to sink my teeth into. Fleshy thighs I wouldn’t mind burying my face between. And those tits… fuck. Perfection.
Turn baby, so I can see your face. If it’s as gorgeous as the rest of you…
As if sensing my gaze on her, she angles her head toward me and my grip tightens around my drink.
I blink. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s also the very woman I’ve been waiting for. Carissa. Her profile picture doesn’t do her justice. Who knew she was also hiding a perfect body in all her photos? Now that I think about it, every one that I found was cropped from the chest up.
I see you, sweetheart. You can’t hide from me like you try to hide from the rest of the world.
Her dark green gaze suddenly snaps to mine, like a magnet. Her eyes widen. That innocent expression stirs my body to life. I haven’t had such a visceral reaction to a woman since meeting my late wife.
I shove that ridiculous thought away. I’m here for one reason, and one reason only. To find out how I can use Carissa Clarke against her father.
If I threaten her life, will he pay up?
What if he really can’t get the money? Should I take his daughter as payment?
Maybe I’ll force her to work off his debt.
The possibilities are endless. Once I’ve learned enough about their relationship, and uncover their weaknesses, then I’ll know which direction to pursue.
I drag my tongue across my lower lip, ravishing her body with my gaze. Tonight’s bound to be interesting, no matter the outcome. Let the game begin.
