Epilogue

It was a new beginning for both Nova and Delaney, one filled with joy and happiness.

Though Delaney had to leave for a bit, she quickly returned a few weeks later, ready to begin her new life. It didn’t take long for the shop to come together, thanks to Milo's help.

A bit of cleaning and some help from both men, and she had a perfectly wonderful studio and shop to sell her creations. The sign on the doors, Delaney’s Artist Den, a picture she’d painted not long before the first impression visitors got when they stepped across the threshold.

Paintings and artistic wares flew off the shelves from the start. It was hard to keep up, but thanks to the love she felt and the happiness surrounding her, Delaney was forever in the swell of creative flow.

Nova’s new beginning was another matter entirely, but she was not alone. Happy to help with her project, together she and her fiance, Maveryk, hired contractors and employed the help of many for the projects they couldn’t complete themselves.

Months went by, a slow process it was, but Nova was happy to be at the helm of this exciting adventure with people she loved and cared about by her side. Windows replaced, roof repaired, doors taken down, and a complete rehab is what it took.

Things had changed for Milo and Maveryk as the space of their expertise in business and creating was set forth to help the woman they loved. While their lives had already been the perfect essence of beach happiness, having love surrounding them made it all the more worthwhile.

Maveryk broke a few hearts when everyone found out he was engaged. More than happy in his new place in life with Nova at his side, he cared not. A newfound spring in his step, a reason to get up and smile more than he had before, he found himself thinking about family.

Everest, as he and Milo named the dog, had a new home between both brothers and their partners. Spending most of his time at the Brew House, he became the bar's new mascot, making all the women who visited swoon over his cuteness.

Maveryk wanted to get married right away, days after they’d professed their love to each other, and Nova agreed to marry him. That, however, didn’t go as planned, as his headstrong, soon-to-be wife had other ideas.

Submerged in her business, weeks away from its grand opening, they had to sort out where they would live once they were married. Nova wasn’t about to live at the Brew House; she wanted a home of her own, in town.

For the time being, she’d stayed at the Inn, once it was safe to do so. Now, she longed for something more permanent. Together, she and Delaney had been plotting a secret twin wedding in private behind both brothers’ backs.

When the grand opening of the Inn finally came around, almost a year later, Nova was on pins and needles. The website had been operating for months, booking reservations for the Inn in advance.

The day of the grand opening proved heavenly and wrought with mishaps as everyone tried to check in at once, and the website crashed. The computer system used to check them failed, and no one's payments went through. Everyone ended up getting their first night's stay for free.

Five guest bedrooms with en-suite baths, and a master suite for honeymoons and couples in need of more privacy, it was a luxurious Inn hosting a small outdoor bar, indoor dining for guests and locals, and a plethora of new hired help.

With both women’s new lives on track, happily in love and on their way to financial success, spending time together was hard. One tradition they had was Sunday brunch together at the Brew House.

As the summer was almost over, many tourists headed home to work and school, and Nova and Delaney knew it was time. They wanted to get married together, and springing it on both brothers went easier than imagined.

Neither Milo nor Maveryk cared about the when or where, as long as they were together, married, and with the women they loved.

After a stunning evening wedding with the waves crashing against the shoreline behind them as they said their vows, it was back to business, and the honeymoons would have to wait.

For Nova, the thrill of marriage brought with it the surprise gift of a home a few blocks from both businesses, so she and Maveryk could easily do the work they loved. Much to her joy, she finally got to meet his child, of whom she’d barely heard anything about.

This was a lovely surprise for her, as Nova loved having people around to entertain and spend time with. Adding a litter of puppies to her new family was the icing on the cake.

Delaney found a contentment she never imagined, settled into a new home not far from her shop. Not long after the wedding, life took a shocking turn when she discovered she was pregnant with twins.

At such an age, there was much to handle with health and work, but through the friendship she and Nova shared and the love of her husband, Milo, and brother-in-law Maveryk, it was a breeze.

Months later, she became a mother, and Nova an auntie to two adorable girls, Amber and Alissa. Milo was overjoyed as he’d always wanted to be a father. Maveryk found great joy in being an uncle in the years that followed.

With this new change, life took a different turn for both Nova and Delaney. Nova and Maveryk eventually adopted a child of their own, a little boy from another country. Bringing youthfulness and newfound happiness to their family and life.

Eventually, another child came along for Milo and Delaney, a boy named Luca, completing their happy little family. While it wasn’t always easy, as life and age made things harder, a happiness not even those things could damage settled in.

While life had changed greatly since Nova and Delaney first met in college, the love and friendship they shared remained strong for the rest of their lives.
