I love Destin!!! I have never had so much fun. I cannot—simply CAN NOT—ever go back to boring old Atlanta after knowing that Destin actually exists.
All we do is have fun, even on rainy days. Kate and Tessa are the best friends I ever had and I love them both so much. Last week we went to this cool beach camp and made matching friendship bracelets. Each one had three beads with the letters V, K, and T. Of course Crista cried her fool head off when we came home so now we have to make her a bracelet and put a C on it. As if she’s one of us!
Okay, tonight. Mom and Dad and Aunt Jo Ellen and Uncle Artie went out to dinner with their friends, the Cavallaris. They are the people who own a little grocery store we always go to, and Mom and Aunt JE got to be really good friends with Mrs. Cavallari. Anyway, no babysitter since they put Eli and Peter in charge. We had so much fun!
Peter made a bonfire on the beach and brought his boombox down so we could sing and dance. Of course we were “Walkin’ on Sunshine!” until Eli told us all to shut up. Crista fell asleep on a blanket and then we played this really fun game called “Never Have I Ever.”
Everyone had to hold up ten fingers and drop one if they’ve done something weird or funny like gone someplace or eaten bizarre food. (Peter’s had FROG’S LEGS – eww.)
Of course, the boys said gross things like “never have I ever made out with a girl” and Peter HAS DONE THAT. Anyway, we played that for a long time and laughed so hard my face hurt.
Mom and Dad got home really late and we were still on the beach. I thought they’d get mad but they were as silly as we were. Mom and Aunt Jo Ellen kept saying some weird word in Italian then howling with laughter and doing their Tri-Delt secret handshake. Mom is so cool down here in Destin. Nothing bothers her. Daddy has to go home to Atlanta tomorrow but we have two more months!!!
Love, Vivien
P.S. Never have I ever told anyone how cute PM is!!! I secretly like him a lot.
