The Teacher's Hayride with the Hometown Baller

Hazel Templeton hoped an overseas teaching post would mean cultural immersion, new students, and a quiet start in Broomcorn Hollow, the small Kansas town already obsessed with Halloween.

What she did not expect was a personal tour from local basketball hero Zack Dawson, who treats the job as if the season itself depends on him.

Zack loves his hometown almost as much as the decorations he has helped assemble across it, a convenient cover for the fact that he has no date this year and wants it to stay that way.

Then he spots the cracks in Hazel’s conservative exterior and decides to help her find her haunted side.

Between a corn maze and a town that celebrates the spooky season better than anywhere else, the new teacher and the hometown baller are headed for more heat than either planned.
