Chapter 4 #2

A tentacle slithered down her body until it reached the bare skin of her legs, tickling her flesh before sliding out of sight.

Every nerve alighted with flames, the tentacle brushing along her inner thigh, the public act of wantonness so shameful and yet she didn’t care.

She should put a stop to this, most certainly.

She should, but she couldn’t bring herself to, enjoying the way it felt to be in his arms.

No one noticed them either way—busy with their own revelries—and she rolled her hips instinctively, the tentacle petting across her panties and sending a jolt up her spine. Well, now he certainly knew she was wet, heightened olfactory sense or not, but it didn’t matter.

Nothing mattered beyond the sensation of him stroking across the fabric in time with the music, tension building as the song crescendoed.

It had been far too long since she’d orgasmed with someone instead of her handy toys, but the thought of it happening right here on the dance floor exhilarated and horrified her.

She was safe in her cocoon, the Thren’s body encasing her, tentacles squeezing her in a way that made it feel like they were one being.

As if sensing her tensing muscles, he picked up his pace, circling her clit under her dress and forcing a gasp from her lips.

Lena was in a haze of arousal, her breath quickening as she realized she was nearing her peak.

With a shake of her head, she grasped the tentacle, pulling it from under her dress and squirming out of the Thren’s grasp.

He released her with a scowl as she turned to face him, her entire body flushed with heat.

“I, uh, should probably go,” she shouted, trying to catch her breath and hoping the male would hear.

Oh, God, as awkward as ever, but there was definitely something off. She was woozy, like she’d already taken her meds tonight, in that strange dream-like space before sleep overtook her.

Clearly something was wrong with her, because she’d been about to orgasm for the entire nightclub to see while an alien had his tentacle between her legs.

Before he could answer, she stumbled toward the edge of the dance floor, desperate to escape the uncomfortable encounter. She’d made it weird, like she always did, unable to get her brain and body on the same wavelength.

As she stepped away from the strobing lights, she felt a firm grasp on her arm, the Thren turning her to face him with an odd smirk.

“Where are you going?”

The skin on her neck tingled as he whispered in her ear, his arm slinking around her middle and holding her in place. Her heart was still racing, on the precipice of release, and she tried to focus on getting out of this situation as quickly as possible.

“My quarters?” she said, though it was more of a question than a statement.

The Thren cocked his head.

“Come upstairs with me.”

Upstairs.

Oh, yes, she’d been quite curious about the second floor of the club, one which provided a different type of entertainment, at least according to Ochin.

There had been zero chance of her going up there on her own, the mere thought flushing her cheeks as the male dragged her to the stairs without waiting for a response.

He was insistent, alright, a bit pushy even, but no worse than the human men she knew on Earth. And besides, they weren’t going to some dark corner where he could attack her. There would be others up there.

The din of music softened as they entered a hallway lit with glowing red orbs, a series of windows along one wall. There were others ambling about, some making out with no shame, and others gazing intently at the debauchery happening behind the glass.

The Thren interlaced his fingers with hers, pulling her toward the nearest window, his eyes dancing across the scene in front of them. A breath caught in her throat as she turned to look, the image searing into her memory.

There was a human woman strapped to a table, ankles and wrists restrained as a wolf-like alien drove into her over and over again. A sheen of sweat covered her nude body, her mouth open in erotic gasps.

Lena couldn’t breathe, the view doing nothing to quell the heat between her legs, the wetness dripping from her center. And then there was that firm grip around her waist again, that electric touch, the Thren leaning down and whispering.

“What do you think?”

A shiver shot up her spine, and she glanced his way, blue eyes glimmering with some emotion she couldn’t read. Probably lust, if he was feeling anything similar to what she was.

“It’s… interesting.”

A nonanswer, but she really couldn’t come up with anything better to say. She’d never explored much beyond the basic positions, and the idea of being tied up while another used her was both intimidating and exhilarating.

“Would you like to try?”

Lena sputtered a cough, trying to sense any jest in the Thren’s question, but finding none. He was serious. Did he really want to get her into one of those rooms and play with her while an audience watched? And why did that idea not horrify her as much as it should have?

“I’m not much of an exhibitionist,” she said honestly, though that didn’t quite answer his question.

“There are curtains,” he said, gesturing to the silky red sheets that hung in swells on the interior of the room.

He pulled her along to the next window, an Anzu woman on hands and knees while two Andrudians took her from both ends, yet another sight that made her pussy throb with need.

“I could get us a room.”

A room. He really wanted to take her into one of these rooms to do who knows what with her. There was no way, not a chance. She needed to get out of here, couldn’t sleep with the very first person she met at an alien nightclub, and certainly not while they were still in the nightclub.

“Oh, no, that’s alright. I really should be going. I have work tomorrow.”

Lena kept her eyes glued to the figures beyond the curtains, easier than meeting the Thren’s ardent gaze.

“If you would like the privacy of your quarters, that is fine, too.”

He guided her away from the window, pushing her until her back pressed against a wall, her body trembling under his touch.

A tentacle tickled her chin, tipping her face up to greet his, and she took in his scent, pine and spice, like she were in the middle of a great forest, one that no longer existed on Earth.

“Well?”

Sparks exploded wherever he touched her, a hand at her waist, a tentacle brushing her collarbone, another circling her neck, and his gaze was so entrancing, piercing her more fully than anything she’d ever experienced.

“I… can’t…” Lena said, unable to find a better excuse.

The Thren cocked his head, a knowing smirk on his face, and he leaned in close to whisper in her ear.

“Do not lie to me. I can scent how desperately you want me, the arousal soaking through your clothing. Why do you resist?”

There was a catch in his voice, vulnerability dancing underneath the commanding tone. His mouth brushed her neck, sharp fangs raking against her skin and sending a jolt through her body. She needed to get out of here, and she needed to do it now.

Lena pushed on his chest until he moved aside, letting her pass.

“I’m sorry, I really have to go. But thank you for the dance.”

Even as she stepped backward, his eyes didn’t leave her, a strained look on his face and his hands in fists at his sides.

“Goodbye, little human.”

Oh, hell. Now that really got her going. Something about the timbre of his voice and the cutesy pet name made her want to drag him right back to her quarters.

God, did her body mourn his absence, but she just gave an awkward wave, then spun on her heel.

She tensed as she hurried to the stairs, expecting him to grab her, but she entered the main level unencumbered.

Without hazarding a glance back, despite the way her body screamed, she practically ran toward the exit, eager to make her escape.

Oh, what a fool she was.

Botune sparkled outside the expansive window of Lena’s quarters as she lay in bed, her ears still ringing from the music while her body hummed with need.

After leaving Cosmic Pulse, she’d rushed to her quarters, ready to put the whole experience behind her. But even after she’d taken a cold shower and dressed in fresh clothes, lust rang through her from the memory of the Thren’s touch.

The way her body reacted to him was so strange. Though he wasn’t as objectively horrifying as some of the species that called Henios home, he certainly wasn’t what she considered her “type”.

But that deep, gravelly voice and the firm grip of his hands, the way she fit so perfectly tucked against his large body, the tentacles brushing all over her… it was unlike anything she’d ever felt. Like she was meant to be in his arms.

Why hadn’t she just invited him back to her place? Was a one-night stand really all that bad? She’d been on Henios for three months and had never seen him at Ochin’s, so surely he wasn’t a regular. Probably just passing through on his way back to Botune.

A missed opportunity, certainly, one which was weighing on her more heavily than she expected. There would be more hot extraterrestrials to dance and flirt with.

Lena reached for her bedside table, taking two pills from a canister and swallowing them with a big gulp of water.

Two may have been a bit overboard, but she really needed to get some sleep, to rest her mind.

She hated having to take them, but she knew if she didn’t, she’d be up all night agonizing about the Thren.

She pressed a button on her console, the shades quickly blotting out the view of Botune and shrouding her room in darkness. With a heavy sigh, she pulled the covers up to her chin and closed her eyes, trying to put thoughts of the Thren to rest.
