Chapter 28 #3
His fingers grew bolder, sliding through the most intimate part of her body. Desperate, overheated nerves exploded with magic and stardust, and she cried out, her entire frame spasming.
“Shh,” he hummed in the spot just below her ear, sending a frisson of energy down her spine. His fingers shifted—lazy, unhurried motions that had her thighs shaking with need. “The faster you go, the slower I will.”
A pathetic little moan emerged from her throat that made him chuckle.
“I want—”
He waited, the leisurely circles toying with her sanity. “Tell me what you want.”
“I—I—” She couldn’t find the words to encompass all that she wanted from this man.
He kissed her cheek, so soft, softer even than his touch down below. “I will give you whatever you ask for.”
Anna’s eyes opened, and she found him already watching her, the green of his irises thinned to a small band around his dilated pupils. “Your mouth.”
The wicked glint reappeared in his expression. One hard kiss on her lips, then he slid his teeth down her throat. He sucked a darkening bruise onto her right breast, dipped his tongue into her belly button, then plunged lower until her legs were wrapped around him, just as he said he liked.
His eyes locked onto hers. “Like this?”
She nodded, barely able to breathe, let alone talk. David gave her the smile, and butterflies tickled every surface of her skin, inside and out.
The first swipe of his tongue turned her vision white. The next made every fiber of her soul sing in ecstasy.
He kept going, his tongue tormenting her with pleasure.
Air disappeared and noises she couldn’t explain surged from her mouth. Tension coiled deep inside, and she found herself begging, pleading for something she didn’t truly understand.
Her hands searched for something to grab, and like he knew exactly what she needed, he reached for her, their fingers interlocking over her stomach, squeezing tight.
Small bursts of pleasure erupted at every move he made, and the tension climbed even higher while he learned to master her body.
She strained for some sort of precipice, scrambling toward it.
When she reached the edge, her back arched, and with some fancy tongue work that surely made him a veritable genius, she toppled over it.
Bliss burst across every nerve ending, from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. It came in wave after wave of blinding pleasure until she was drunk on it. Delirious.
He wrung every ounce of rapture from her nerves, setting off shockwaves through her very psyche, then pressed soft kisses to the inside of her thigh until she returned to reality.
Reveling in bliss, she barely noticed him rise from the bed, but she watched as he divested himself of the rest of his clothing. Anna could count on one hand the number of men she had seen naked in her lifetime, all of them by accident.
This one existed on a different level. Golden halo of hair. Wicked mouth. Smooth skin over ridges of muscle. Luster caressing him as a lover might.
David gripped himself while he stared his fill, her legs still spread. He wielded that thing in his hands like he knew how to use it, and apprehension flared again.
His gaze flicked to her eyes. “Still nervous?”
“It’s a good nervous,” she said, realizing her life was about to change forever. Maddy spoke about sex as if it didn’t matter, like it was something merely to entertain, but Anna couldn’t deny the part of her that whispered this mattered a great deal.
She was a pixie. This would never be something she did just for fun. This was a symbol of something deeper, and she had no idea if this man felt the same.
She should have asked. It was stupid not to ask. And now she didn’t want to.
Now she wanted the experience, even if her loyal little pixie heart would be battered and bloody by the end of it.
The bed dipped, and then he was climbing atop her, his weight settling in all the right places. She twined her legs around him and gazed deep into his eyes.
It should have been just them, an intimate moment to be shared with no one else, but Anna sensed the vision coming just before it happened.
Her mind blanked, and through a curtain of future shimmer, instead of green eyes, she was gazing into cobalt blue.
Should we stop? Sean asked, his voice a husky blend of fatigue and desire.
Anna’s heart squeezed tight.
No.
What was that?
From far away, her own voice echoed. Please don’t stop.
As it dissolved, she succumbed to a moment of panicky denial.
That couldn’t have been what she thought. It couldn’t have even been real. Her mind was playing tricks on her, certainly.
To destroy the image, she pulled David down, capturing his mouth in a messy kiss, and when he finally pressed himself deep inside her, there wasn’t an ounce of pain, just like he’d promised.
Only pleasure existed, mounds and mounds of it, paired with the sense of having found something she hadn’t realized she wanted.
Something she needed. Something she might not be able to live without.
Something dangerous.
