Chapter 6 #5
Jordan snickered. “You’re silly, Daddy.”
“It happens.” Ash gave him a quick smooch before turning back to me. “So I’m thinking youse have a bit of an aftercare situation goin’ on here, am I right?”
Of course he’d drawn the same conclusion. I should’ve known.
“I think so too,” I said.
“And maybe more kissing?” Jordan asked. “I don’t know your new limits yet.”
Ash and I exchanged a glance, and he cleared his throat.
“I’m not sure we know either, truth be told,” he replied.
“After watching you two up there, I…” He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair.
“I don’t know. I’m not worried. I just found it fucking beautiful.
And sexy as hell. So…all cards on the table?
Have at it. I’m fine with whatever you wanna do as long as everyone’s being safe.
” He gave Jordan a pointed look while my mind started spinning.
“You and James may have gotten tested, but I haven’t.
Not to say I think I have something, because I don’t.
For as long as we’ve been members here, Nate and I have gotten tested once a year because it’s what they recommend, even for monogamous dynamics.
But given that I’ve been MIA for over a year, it’s been a while. ”
“But you haven’t been with anyone else,” Jordan stated. “Right?”
“Right.” Ash glanced at me.
“I haven’t been with anyone either. I was last tested five or six months ago.” I grunted as I helped Jordan down. My bad, but I wasn’t carrying my five-year-old here. “I do think we should consider jumping on the PrEP bandwagon soon, though.”
“That’s the medication all the kids today are on?” Ash asked.
“I sincerely hope they’re not kids,” I answered. “But yes.”
Jordan cracked up and wrapped his arms around me. “You’re so funny, both of you.”
I smirked and kissed the top of his head.
“Jordan?” James spoke up for the first time, and he nodded toward the room. “Let’s give them a minute. I need to talk to you too.”
“Okay!” Jordan released me and wandered off without further ado.
His filters were down, weren’t they? Either way, I liked seeing him so carefree. It was a stark contrast to our brief introduction in front of the house earlier.
Ash wrapped an arm around my middle instead and leaned in to kiss my jaw.
I smiled, cupping his jaw. I loved feeling his scruff underneath my fingertips.
“I forgot how fucking sexy you are in your element,” he murmured. “I wanna join you here more.”
I sighed contentedly and kissed him. “Does that mean I can use you as a model sometime?”
“Anything for you.”
I deepened the kiss, wondering how it was possible to love someone more and more after so many years.
“That goes both ways, though.” I took a breath. “I want to spend more time with you downstairs as well.”
He hummed and pulled me closer to him, and we made out—hopefully as a precursor to later tonight. Because I felt his urgency, his need, and I was sure he felt mine too. The way he used his tongue had never failed to seduce me. And make me shudder.
Fuck.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you more.”
He shook his head. “Impossible.” He kissed his way down my jaw.
“I meant what I said, Nathan. I want you to go all out. I want both of us to do that.” He eased back and looked me in the eye with all that pent-up desire and…
and confidence. “I don’t know why it’s so easy to set up boundaries before we even know what we’re doing, but fuck what I said before.
I’m not scared. I trust you. And whatever we build with them can’t threaten what we have. ”
I locked my arms around his neck and took a deep breath, letting his words settle. I felt each one cement itself in my core.
“As long as we communicate a lot,” I said. “I want to know the progress you make with both of them, how your relationships evolve, details I should know—all of that.”
“And so do I.” He nodded once, firmly. “Let’s not forget that you and I are in control here. It’ll be our job to drive them insane.”
I grinned, feeling a surge of possessiveness rush through me. “I kind of like the idea of being a Predator.”
“Oh, it’s fucking amazing,” he chuckled. “We gotta discuss Saturday. I have a few ideas.”
Couldn’t wait to hear them. I kissed him and—
“But, uh…” He wasn’t done. “After the show youse put on up here, I might need road head from James on the way back.”
I exhaled a laugh, though I was half confused too. “Are you leaving before me?”
He gave me a squeeze before easing back.
“You gotta make sure Jordan’s comin’ down from whatever you shared.
Yeah? So, you take your time. James and I will leave in their car.
I’ll make sure the little ones are asleep.
I’ll check in on Dylan and Hallie. When you’re ready, come home with Jordan, and then they can take off. ”
That was a good plan. I wouldn’t have to stress my moment with Jordan, considering we were supposed to be home in… I checked my watch. Shit. Twenty-five minutes.
“Yeah, okay. That’s a good plan. I’ve lost track of time.”
“No wonder after that display.”
I chuckled and shook my head. “I have no idea what happened. That’s entirely new to me.
But for the record, I’m not letting things get out of hand tonight.
Not when we have to part ways in a little while.
” Jordan and I didn’t know each other well enough for casual play. I had no interest in casual anyway.
“Makes sense. You’re a good Dom.”
“I’m a rusty Dom,” I huffed.
He smirked. “I don’t believe that for a second.”
His posture changed the exact same second that I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, leading me to believe he’d received a message too. He took out his phone, so I assumed I was right.
From Hallie—
“It’s from Hallie,” he said.
Danger alert. I have cramps. Can you buy chocolate on the way home?
Okay, this was not a drill. Ash and I were pros.
“I’m on it,” he said, typing a response to her. “Is she still on her Maltesers kick?”
“Maltesers and Toblerone,” I replied. “Get her a bag of gummy bears too. She says she never wants them, but then she does—usually when the store is closed.”
He nodded, making a list. “And it has to be the Albanese brand, right?”
“Correct.” I eyed his list. “How are we on Nutella? She likes that on toast during the worst moments.”
“I might as well buy a new jar. I know you keep it hidden from the kids, but you don’t keep it hidden from me.”
I laughed.
“The heating pad—it’s in the closet upstairs, right?” he asked.
“Yeah, and her bath bombs are hidden in a box under the sink so that Lily can’t find them.”
Poor girl could spend hours taking hot baths when her cramps were at their worst.
“I might as well pick up a bottle of painkillers too,” he added. “And listen, I love that girl with all my heart, but I struggle to believe the generic brand ain’t just as good.”
We’d had that debate before, but if Hallie wanted her fancy brand, so be it. The placebo effect was still very real.
“Okay, we’ll get out of here,” he said, pocketing his phone. “At least my hard-on’s dead. James is safe for the moment.”
I chuckled. “Drive safe. We won’t be too long.”
