Be Their Bitch

“What am I going to do?” Lily sobbed, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face.

“My uncle’s going to kill me. He sent me here to study, but the more I think about it, this psychotic place, I’m starting to believe he had other plans. And now that I’m pregnant… he’ll auction me off to some breeding house, or sell the pup,

or marry me off to an old pervert who’ll use me up and throw me away when he’s bored.”

Her shoulders shook with violent tremors. Scarlette stared in stunned silence, mouth slightly open, words completely failing her.

Finally, she managed a whisper. “W-who’s the father?” Then, softer, almost afraid of the answer: “Is it… Jaxon’s?”

Lily lifted her head, eyes swollen and red, and let out a bitter, watery smile. “Oh, how I wish.”

The words hit Scarlette like a slap. She knew, everyone knew whatever twisted thing existed between Lily and Jaxon wasn’t love.

After what he’d done to her in the hallway that day, it was clear Lily hadn’t wanted any part of it.

Scarlette’s stomach twisted as a dark suspicion took root: whatever had happened between them had almost certainly happened during that thing they called the Purge.

One of Jaxon’s guys had mentioned it in passing once that day, but she’d never pressed Milo or Lily for details.

“How I wish I even knew whose life this is,” Lily repeated, voice hollow.

Scarlette frowned, confusion deepening. “I don’t understand.”

Lily dragged a trembling hand down her face, laughing without humor.

“What I’m saying, Scarlette, is that I’ve been raped, countless times by Alphas, Betas, even other Omegas.”

She spat the words like poison. “So many that by the end of the night I could feel different seeds swimming inside me, fighting over what was left.”

Scarlette’s eyes widened in horror. The room seemed to tilt.

“Have I ever told you about the Purge?”

Scarlette shook her head numbly.

Lily reached out and cupped Scarlette’s cheek with surprising gentleness, her touch cold. “So innocent,” she murmured, almost tenderly. Then her expression twisted, cruel, bitter, laced with something that looked painfully like envy. “Don’t worry. This place will fuck it right out of you.”

She shoved Scarlette’s face away, more tears spilling down her own cheeks.

“You see, the Purge is next week. And the way you smell right now… I can tell your heat is coming. You’re going to be the perfect little bait this school dangles in front of the monsters it breeds.”

Scarlette’s blood ran cold.

“But wait, you have the Triumvirate now,” Lily continued, voice sharpening.

“And that new guy. They’re all circling the same prize. Word of advice: be their bitch. Let them fuck you, knot you, claim you however they want. The Triumvirate marked you, so at least no other Alpha will touch you that night without permission.”

Scarlette could only stare, throat tight, words trapped behind shock.

“W-why are you talking to me like this?” she finally whispered.

Lily’s face crumpled. Pity flashed in her eyes, quickly swallowed by raw anger.

“Do you think I want to?” Her voice cracked, jagged with pain. “I’m trying to warn you, Scarlette. Because no one warned me.”

She scrubbed at her tears furiously, as if they burned.

“The Purge happens once a month, full moon. They call it ‘tradition,’ but it’s just sanctioned rape.”

Scarlette’s stomach lurched.

“They lock down the campus. Shut off every camera. Open the heat rooms, the basements, the woods. Any Omega showing pre-heat or full heat is ‘encouraged’ to stay in the South Wing.” Lily’s laugh was brittle, broken. “Encouraged. Like we have a real choice.”

“The doors only lock from the outside.”

“Alphas, Betas, anyone strong enough get free rein. They hunt. They take. They knot. They breed. And the faculty turns a blind eye because the strongest pups come from nights like that. The school sells the survivors, the graduates as elite soldiers, perfect assassins.

Ruthless bloodlines fetch the highest prices.”

Her hand drifted to her stomach, fingers splaying protectively even as her face twisted with fury.

“Last Purge, they dragged me from my room. I fought. I screamed until my throat bled. No one came. I woke up in the infirmary covered in bruises I couldn’t explain, filled with seed from gods-know-how-many. There was blood everywhere from Omegas and Betas killed by higher wolves.

Even some professors die that night. Everyone is free to do what they like without consequence. Before coming here, I’d never taken a life. Now I have blood on my hands just trying to protect myself.”

Her gaze met Scarlette’s, empty, haunted.

“That’s why I don’t know who the father is. That’s why I’m terrified to give birth here. If the pup is strong, they’ll take it. train it, sell it. And if it’s weak…” Her voice dropped to a ragged whisper. “They’ll cull it. Quietly.”

Scarlette felt bile rise in her throat.

“The Triumvirate usually don’t participate,” Lily went on, bitterness dripping from every word. “They’re too elite, too powerful. No one touches what’s theirs anyway. But you… you’re new. You’re human. You smell like untouched heaven. And your heat is coming.”

She seized Scarlette’s hands suddenly, nails digging in hard enough to bruise.

“Listen to me. If they’ve marked you as theirs, let them. Be their willing bitch. Let them knot you, bite you, breed you, whatever they demand. Because if the Triumvirate claims you publicly, no one else will dare lay a finger on you that night. You’ll be safe from the worst of it.”

Her grip tightened until Scarlette winced.

“But if you fight them… if you keep running…” Lily’s eyes glistened with fresh tears. “You’ll be fresh meat for every monster.”

She released Scarlette’s hands abruptly and slumped forward, defeated.

“I hate that I’m saying this. I hate that this place forced these words out of my mouth. But I’d rather you belong to them than end up like me.”

The park around them felt unnaturally quiet, the late-afternoon sunlight too harsh, too golden as if the world itself was holding its breath.

Scarlette couldn’t speak.

All she could hear was the phantom roar of that waterfall she’d nearly tumbled into weeks ago, thundering in her ears.

And Lily’s words, sharp as broken glass, echoing inside her skull:

Be their bitch.

Or be everyone’s.

She didn’t know which fate terrified her more.

Finally, she forced the words out, her voice small and cracked. “What are you going to do now?”

Lily looked at her, her swollen eyes dull, and managed a weak, brittle smile that didn’t reach anywhere near her heart.

“What I’ve done before,” she whispered, one trembling hand settling protectively and hatefully, over the faint swell of her stomach. “I’ll get rid of it. Before they realize. Before they can take it from me.”
