Good Boys Rabbit

SCARLETT

Back to the present

My eyes darted around at every snap of a twig and rustle in the shadows.

The forest felt alive in the worst way, filled with the sounds of laughter, low growls, and the heavy thud of paws on damp earth.

Dozens of wolves prowled through the trees, eyes glowing like scattered embers in the dark.

Some students had already made kills; I could smell fresh blood on the wind.

Lily stayed close, her small brown wolf form brushing against my leg. She really was adorable like this, fluffy ears, compact body, tail swishing. But the second she bared her teeth at a distant howl, all that cuteness vanished. Those fangs could rip through bone.

I swallowed hard and looked for them.

And there they were.

The Triumvirate had shifted.

Rhys was unmistakable even in wolf form, the biggest of the three, a massive black wolf with sleek, glossy fur that seemed to drink in the moonlight.

His golden eyes burned like twin flames as he moved with lethal grace.

Saint was slightly taller at the shoulder, a towering silver-black beast with one ice-blue eye and the other glowing a deep, feral red.

And Kane… this was the first time I’d seen his wolf.

He was enormous, a deep rich brown with powerful shoulders and ember-bright eyes that glowed with wild energy.

They weren’t hunting.

It almost looked like they were… playing?

Rhys lunged playfully at Saint, their massive heads colliding with a heavy thunk that probably would’ve knocked a normal person unconscious.

Kane barrelled into them from the side, nipping at Rhys’s flank before darting away with a happy growl.

The three of them tumbled and nipped and head-butted like oversized puppies who had just discovered joy for the first time. It was almost… cute.

If they weren’t terrifying killing machines.

Kaiden walked a few paces behind them in human form, hands in his pockets, hazel eyes watching everything with quiet amusement. I still had no idea what he actually was.

Then the three wolves turned to me.

They stopped their roughhousing instantly.

Three pairs of glowing eyes locked onto me at once. My stomach flipped. They were so large, easily twice the size of normal wolves, radiating raw power. I stiffened but forced myself not to step back as they bounded toward me, heavy paws shaking the ground.

Rhys reached me first.

His huge black head pushed against my stomach, warm snout sliding up between my breasts as he inhaled deeply.

A low, satisfied rumble vibrated through his chest and into my body.

Kane came next, rubbing his massive brown flank along my side, his ember eyes half-lidded as his wet nose dragged slowly up my thigh, pushing the hem of my gown higher.

Saint pressed in from the front, his silver-dark head nuzzling shamelessly under my breasts before dragging his broad, warm tongue in one long, slow lick up my bare thigh.

I gasped, fingers instinctively sinking into Saint’s thick fur.

“Good boy,” I whispered before I could stop myself.

Saint’s red eyes flashed with pure delight.

His tail started wagging so hard it thumped loudly against the ground, sending leaves flying.

He licked my thigh again, higher this time, tongue hot and rough and dangerously close to the edge of my panties.

A happy, needy whine escaped him as he pushed closer, rubbing his face all over my lap like he wanted to drown in my scent.

Kane growled playfully and nipped at the side of my hip, then licked the same spot with a slow, filthy drag of his tongue.

Rhys rumbled in approval, his golden eyes never leaving my face as he rubbed his massive head against the underside of my breasts again, deliberately brushing my nipples through the thin gown.

My face burned. My thighs trembled. I was surrounded by three gigantic wolves who were acting like I was their favorite toy and scratching post combined.

“Guys…” I breathed, voice shaky. “We’re supposed to be hunting.. ”

Saint’s tongue licked higher, curling teasingly along the sensitive skin of my inner thigh. Kane’s tail wagged hard enough to smack my calf. Rhys pushed his snout firmer between my breasts, golden eyes glowing with dark satisfaction as he felt my heartbeat spike.

Lily made a choking sound beside me, half laugh, half horrified snort before she turned her wolf head away like she couldn’t bear to watch.

I clutched Saint’s ear gently, trying (and failing) to push his massive head back. “You’re all ridiculous…”

But none of them moved away.

If anything, they pressed closer, warm fur, hot tongues, possessive rumbles vibrating through my entire body. My thighs trembled and heat pooled low in my belly despite everything.

And the worst part?

I didn’t want them to stop.

We kept walking deeper into the woods, and the Triumvirate refused to leave my side.

They hovered around me like massive, obsessed shadows, warm fur brushing against my legs, hot breaths fanning over my skin, low possessive rumbles vibrating through the night.

Every few steps one of them would push closer, rubbing their huge bodies against me like they were trying to mark me with their scent.

Rhys stayed on my left, his sleek black wolf occasionally nudging his head under my arm so my fingers would sink into his fur.

Kane prowled on my right, playfully nipping at the hem of my gown and licking the back of my knee whenever I slowed down.

Saint was the worst (or best). He kept pressing his massive silver-gray head against my stomach and chest, tongue dragging slow, affectionate licks across my thighs and hips like he couldn’t get enough of my taste.

I was a mess, face burning, thighs slick, heart racing so hard I was sure they could hear it.

“Guys, seriously,” I whispered, half-laughing, half-mortified. “We’re supposed to be hunting for food, not… whatever this is.”

None of them listened.

Saint suddenly froze mid-step. His ears perked straight up, red eye flashing with focus. In a blur of silver- black fur, he bolted into the trees.

A sharp, high-pitched yelp cut through the night.

Seconds later, Saint came bounding back, tail wagging so hard his entire back half was wiggling. He skidded to a stop in front of me and dropped his prize proudly at my feet.

A dead rabbit.

Still warm. Neck cleanly broken. Little fluffy body limp on the forest floor.

Saint sat back on his haunches, tongue lolling out happily, looking up at me with pure golden-retriever energy. Look what I got you, mate! I’m a good boy!

My stomach dropped.

“Oh… Saint,” I whispered, voice cracking.

I crouched down slowly and gently touched the rabbit’s soft fur. It was still so warm. Its little eyes were closed like it was sleeping. Tears pricked the back of my eyes before I could stop them.

“You sweet Alpha…” I murmured, throat tight. “I know you were trying to feed me, but… it’s just a little bunny. It didn’t do anything wrong.”

Saint cocked his head to the side, ears twitching in confusion. His tail slowed, then stopped wagging completely. The happy panting faded as he stared at me, clearly not understanding why I wasn’t thrilled with his gift.

He nudged the rabbit closer to me with his nose, then looked up again with those big, worried eyes, one ice-blue, one glowing red like he was asking, Did I do bad?

Rhys and Kane both stepped closer, flanking me. Rhys made a low, curious sound in his throat. Kane tilted his massive brown head, ember eyes flicking between me and the rabbit like he was trying to figure out the problem.

I wiped at my eyes quickly, feeling ridiculous for crying over a rabbit when these three had slaughtered an entire river monster earlier.

“I’m sorry,” I whispered, gently stroking Saint’s huge cheek. “You’re such a good boy. Thank you for thinking of me. I just… I feel bad for the bunny.”

Saint let out a soft, confused whine. His tail gave one hesitant wag, then drooped again as he leaned heavily against my side, pushing his head under my arm like he needed reassurance that he hadn’t disappointed his mate.

Kane made a low chuffing sound that almost sounded like laughter, while Rhys simply pressed his big black wolf body against my back, surrounding me in warmth and protection.

I stayed crouched there, one hand buried in Saint’s fur, the other still resting on the poor dead rabbit, heart aching and stupidly full at the same time.

These terrifying, bloodthirsty Alphas had just spent the last ten minutes rubbing all over me like lovesick puppies… and now one of them had brought me a dead rabbit as a gift because he wanted to feed me.

I was never going to survive them.

And the scariest part?

I was starting to think I didn’t want to.
