14. Maria
Chapter fourteen
Maria
Oh my word. He bit me! But I didn’t expect the sizzle flooding my bloodstream. It burns me alive. Then his mouth closes on my clit again. The way he swirls his tongue around my nub is heaven, and I scream out my orgasm. “Christopher!”
The spasms keep going as he slowly licks me.
When the last one fades, I stroke his head. “You can stop now.”
He crawls up my body wearing a big grin until his dick slides inside me. “You can give me one more.”
“I don’t think I have another one in me.”
“You’re vampire now. You’d be surprised what you can do.”
And he’s not lying. Arousal seeps through my nerves again.
He starts out slowly, tilting his hips with each glide to hit all the right spots.
The feel of his body caging mine—I’m being possessed in a way I never was by my husbands. And I like it. A lot.
His face is a picture of pleasure and I find it beautiful. He leans down and his lips touch mine, and I’m overwhelmed by the sweet sensations of his kiss. Without stopping, his fingers find my nipple and tease it into a tight bud. With a few strokes, I’m ready to beg for that third orgasm.
He brushes my hair away from my face. “If I had to turn someone vampire, I’m glad it’s you.”
My face heats, as I don’t know what to say. I didn’t want to be a vampire, but right now I’m glad he’s my maker. He resumes gliding in and out of me, his rhythm perfect. I lift my hips to meet his.
Something in my chest cracks open, reveling in the way we fit together, the way we move together, the way I’m bound to him.
“Christopher,” I gasp, as my orgasm explodes and rolls through me.
“Oh, Sunshine.”
He freezes and groans, his dick pulsing inside me.
As I come down from the high, reality hits. This may be our one and only time.
But I don’t want to lose him to whatever the Lux have planned. I don’t know why, but I just…don’t.
He drops to his side, pulling me with him, still inside. The way he cuddles is divine, and he places light kisses along my sweaty forehead.
“Sweetie?”
He quirks an eyebrow. “Sweetie? Where did that come from? That’s an old-fashioned term of endearment.”
“Nana used to call my granddaddy ‘sweetie.’ I’ve always wanted to use it.”
“Sweetie, it is, then.” Another kiss lands on my cheek.
“Is there anything we can do to convince the Lux to let you…live?”
He holds me softly against his chest. “Sunshine, I’m not making promises I can’t keep. I knew the risk when I turned you. And I don’t know what might convince them. I rescued the rabbits, hoping that might appease them. But if I can do anything to stay alive—short of hurting you—I’ll do it.”
A knock at our door startles me, and I push away from him. He holds me tight and grabs the sheet to cover us.
“Zinnia,” he says loud enough to be heard through the door. “We’re just getting up. We’ll be out in a minute.”
“Okay, Daddy Christopher. I’ll play with the bunnies.”
I can hear the patter of her little feet retreating. I wish my time with Chris wasn’t ending so soon, but I’m eager to check on Zinnia.
He shoos me out of the bed as if reading my mind. “Zinnia won’t wait forever. Go shower.”
“Again?” I raise my eyebrows. “Are you sure you have enough water?”
“I’m sure, Sunshine. We have more than enough. Now scoot. I’ll go take care of her.”
As he throws on clothes and leaves the room, a tear rolls down my cheek. Will the Lux really kill him before dawn just for saving me?
This world isn’t fair.
Another tear follows, and I turn on the shower, hoping the sound covers my sobs.
