The Verona Kidnapping

Mitch Rapp is a CIA assassin, a lone wolf sent to track and kill America's enemies on their own ground.

His first deep-cover mission starts with a brazen kidnapping: a Pakistani chemical weapons scientist for hire has been taken off the streets of Verona.

The jihadi cell responsible intends to exploit that expertise, and the plot sits inside a larger drive to unleash a weapon of mass destruction.

Rapp must get inside the cell before the scientist can be used, even as other parties close in and the abduction begins to strain alliances, push enemies toward common ground, and reopen vendettas once treated as settled.

The widening fallout will not wait, and he has to stop it before the Middle East reaches critical mass.
