Chapter 17
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Graham
“Mmm…” I woke up to Jacqueline nestling up to me wearing the shirt she took off of me from last night. “Good morning. Merry Christmas, baby,” I said, laying a kiss on her forehead as she met me with a light playful kick.
“Hey, are you gonna sleep all morning?” she whined in her anchor voice, as I laughed and turned to see the time on the nightstand.
“Hey, I'm sorry, Jaq. It's just nice to be on a break. Plus, last night you wore me out. Not that I'm complaining,” I admitted. Usually around this time of year being in the States, I’d spend it with my cousin.
But this year he was flying to LA for business, so Jaq and I decided on doing our own little celebrating.
It included a tree, all the decorations, and a floor full of presents.
At first, I thought we were going a bit overboard for it to be just the two of us, but it was kind of nice, given the big Christmases I was used to coming from a big family.
“Smells really good, by the way. Are you cooking?” I asked, petting her hair.
“I mean, I'm trying. Ugh! I wanted to surprise you with this New Zealand style Christmas dinner, but there were things on my list the guys at the seafood market had never even heard of. But I did manage to make lamb and some sides. I did my best,” she admitted, the thought of her going through all that trouble for me was what mattered most. She wasn’t much of a cook, so I wasn't expecting a feast, but she also didn't do things she didn't want to do. Progress.
“Yeah, a lot of the stuff I grew up eating is native to New Zealand, unfortunately. But lamb is good. I'll never turn down lamb. Is it still snowing out?” Watching her trace the shape of my moko, I brought her fingers to my lips to kiss.
“Yeah, but it's lighter now. I figured later we could go out and play in the snow.” I laughed.
“You know, if I was back home right now, you know where I'd be? Right on the beach,” I admitted, as her face soured.
“I know you're an island boy and all, but Christmas without snow sounds like a drag. But Santa in a Hawaiian shirt and flip flops sounds like fun. Do you ever go back for the holidays since you moved to the States?” she asked, as guilt rose in my belly.
I hadn't been back since I left, even when big events had happened.
I stayed here, prioritizing my overall growth over familiarity.
“I mean, I check in often, but since I started uni, I haven't been back.
I think a part of me is just afraid that I'll just end up staying, which sucks, because I love it here in the States. Sure, there are some things I miss doing and eating, but here, at least I can be a heathen in peace,” I joked as she climbed on top of me.
“Speaking of heathens,” she said, leaning in to kiss me as I wrapped my hands along her waist. “Mmm…wait, did you brush her teeth?” she asked, her fingers gingerly running through my hair, her weight on me feeling nothing short of relaxing.
“Yeah, but it was before you were up. I talked to my sister and Mom for a bit. They had to do a double take since I was FaceTiming them,” I admitted, meeting her lips when she chose to lean out.
“I was about to say, why your breath ain't hummin?” she asked in between kisses. Her lips were shamefully all it took to get me hard.
“Mmm…you know what I'd rather hum on?” Kiss. “Your pussy,” I flirted, sharing a laugh between us as she reached for my dick, biting her lip.
“That can be arranged. How do you want me?” she cooed, as I helped her out of my shirt before flipping her on her back.
She was always so ready and confident, something that aided in the enthusiasm when it came to pleasing her.
It was incredible how natural things felt, riding the wave of another one's confidence.
Pulling her knickers off with my teeth, I leaned in to kiss her one last time before I lowered back to her sex.
She released a soft whimper when I teased her first, with little light kisses, as she spread for me wider when my tongue tickled her clit.
Firm, but tender, my licks started off slow, building up rhythm with each passing moan as she moved with the flow of my motions.
“Fuck Graham. Oh baby, that feels so good. Just like that, you know just how I like it,” she praised, lowering one of her hands to play in my hair. I was humbled to admit that, while she'd always looked incredible, this was her at her prettiest.
Salacious, compliant, and spread wide open for me. To believe I'd gone this long without being between a beautiful woman's legs sounded unreasonable, looking back where I started. But man, I could start and end my day like this, and even then, it still wouldn't be enough.
“Oh, fuck, baby, keep doing that. You're gonna make me come,” she commanded. My tongue a whirlpool of sensations as I locked in on her clit. I knew she was close when she gripped my hair in her hands, coating my face in all her delicious juices, guiding me.
“There, there, there, baby. I’m about to fucking come,” she announced, as wickedly, her body submitted to my tongue in one violent orgasm.
I could have stopped right there, but she was so ready, so lovely.
I just needed to lose myself deep inside her.
I lowered my boxers, climbing on top of her as she kissed me, covered in her juices.
“You ready for this dick, baby?” I asked, kissing the crook of her neck as she guided me inside her.
She was always so fucking wet, and since we didn’t worry about condoms, so deliciously warm.
Being balls deep inside her, I wasn't in a rush to come, so I took my time rocking her core, driving my length inside her with long penetrating strokes.
Taking my face in her hands, her gaze longingly held mine, our breaths in sync as we seemed to share the same expressions as the pleasure built.
“Oh, fuck, Jaq. It feels so good to be inside of you. I fucking love you, baby,” I moaned, leaning up to quicken the pace as I played with her clit. “Mmm…you should see your fucking face right now. You look so fucking sexy,” I blurted out as she threw her head back, laughing.
“Oh God, Graham, you're gonna make me come again. You're getting too fucking good at this, damn it.”
“Mmm… that's right, baby. Come on this dick for me. Come on this dick while I fuck this tight pussy,” I commanded, as stroke for stroke she met me, until the both of us fell victim to our own pleasure. Exhausted and out of breath, I leaned in to kiss her, our lips lingering in one tight embrace.
“Well, I'm up now,” I joked, as she rolled her eyes.
“Now he's up. Come on, let's check on my food before I burn your house down.

With my arms wrapped around her, we walked to the kitchen, my mind in shock that her food actually looked edible.
“Wow, babe, everything looks great. Let's hope it tastes the same,” I joked, as she playfully shoved me away. I cut myself a small piece of her roasted lamb, the gentle tenderness of the meat melting in my mouth.
“Oh my god, Jaq, it tastes so amazing.”
“See, I'm not completely useless,” she boasted and I volunteered to set our plates up because she had spent the whole morning cooking with no help. Holiday music played from my living room TV as we enjoyed the food she made at the kitchen table.
“Gosh, Jaq, this is so good. If this had been the first time you cooked for me, you would have set the standard so high.
I'm glad you just know that cooking isn't your prized talent. But maybe it would be if you always cooked like this,” I teased.
I actually liked cooking but the thing we had in common was that we didn't mind being takeout people.
At least she had good taste in restaurants.
“I know, I know. But I actually tried hard this time, because I know how bummed you were that your cousin wasn't going to be home for the holidays.”
“Yeah, but it's not exactly a consolation prize spending it with you. I appreciate your efforts. Made me feel better about the call I made to my fam this morning. I really wanted to talk to my dad, but it never seems like he’s around.” Jaq's expression went sullen, her hand meeting mine, comforting.
“Did something happen?” she wondered, as I answered with a shrug.
“Nothing bad. It's just my older sister had her baby two months ago and no one really told me. I just hate myself for not being there. I never thought I'd miss things like that,” I admitted, knowing I was partly to blame.
“I'm sure your family's understanding with how you talk about them. I know they don't hold it against you.” That was the problem. They didn't. And because they didn't, I didn't see the urgency of going back, considering they were doing fine without me.
“They're probably tired of hearing about my girlfriend,” I gushed, a goofy smile forming on her face.
“Wait, they know about me?”
“Does that bother you?” I wondered, considering this relationship wasn't even supposed to get this far. I’d met her family, but being the commitment-phobe that she was, I knew there was a chance me talking her up to my family would make her uncomfortable.
“No, of course not. I just wonder how you describe me. Hey guys this is my forty-one-year-old girlfriend. She’s a Black woman who left her cushiony job to write books for teenagers. Not exactly a good sell,” she joked, as I rolled my eyes and finished off my orange juice.
“Well, I haven't used that language, but they do know that you're older than me. Your race doesn't make a difference, but they were excited learning you're a Black American. My mum doesn't believe you're forty-one.”
“So, they know what I look like?” she quizzed, adopting an even goofier expression than before.
“I mean, your folks know what I look like. Is that okay?”
“Can you blame a girl for asking? You're like the only under thirty person I know without social media. What pictures did you share of me? I have to know,” she asked eagerly, her curiosity sated when they were the ones that she had liked of herself.
