6. The Wedding Day #3

"I want to." Margot's voice was rough. "I've been thinking about this all day. Every time I looked at you during the ceremony."

She lowered her mouth, and Becca's thoughts dissolved.

Margot was tentative at first, learning. Her tongue explored slowly, trying different pressure, different angles, reading Becca's reactions. It wasn't polished. It was better than polished. It was Margot giving herself over to something, trusting Becca enough to be imperfect.

"Like that," Becca breathed, threading her fingers through Margot's hair. Not pushing, just holding. "Right there—yes—"

Margot found a rhythm and committed to it, growing bolder when Becca's hips started rocking. Her hands gripped Becca's thighs, holding her open, and the possessiveness of the gesture sent heat cascading through Becca's entire body.

"Margot… fuck… don't stop—"

Margot didn't stop. She doubled down, and Becca was climbing, climbing, the pleasure building in slow devastating waves.

She came with a cry, her whole body curling forward, hands fisting in Margot's hair. Margot stayed with her through it, gentling only when Becca's thighs stopped trembling.

When she finally looked up, her lips were wet and her expression was stunned. Like she couldn't believe she'd just done that. Like she wanted to do it again immediately.

"Come here," Becca whispered, pulling her up.

Margot settled on top of her, and they kissed, slow and deep. Becca could taste herself and it made her want to cry, this intimacy, this woman who kept choosing to be brave.

"I want you," Becca said against her mouth. "I've been thinking about this too."

She rolled them over, straddling Margot's hips. But instead of sliding down, she shifted forward, pressing her thigh between Margot's legs. Margot's breath caught.

"What are you—"

"Trust me." Becca rocked forward, pressing her thigh hard against Margot's center, and Margot's eyes went dark. "Is this okay?"

"More than okay." Margot's voice had dropped low. Her hands found Becca's hips, gripping hard enough to leave marks. "More."

Becca set a rhythm, rolling her hips, the pressure of her thigh against Margot steady and relentless. The angle was perfect from up here. She could see everything: the flush spreading down Margot's chest, her parted lips, the way her abs tensed with every wave of pressure.

"God, you're gorgeous," Becca breathed.

Margot arched beneath her, matching Becca's rhythm, grinding up against her thigh with a desperation that made Becca's pulse spike. The friction was building for both of them, Becca's own arousal sliding against Margot's thigh, and she realized they could do this together.

"I'm close," Margot gasped, her grip on Becca's hips bruising.

"Me too." Becca leaned down, bracing her hands on either side of Margot's head, their faces inches apart. "Look at me."

Margot's eyes locked onto hers. Open. Undefended. Everything she usually hid written plainly on her face.

They came within seconds of each other, Margot first with a sharp cry, Becca following when she felt Margot shudder beneath her. They collapsed together, breathing hard, skin damp, foreheads pressed together.

"Becca," Margot said, the name shaking out of her.

"I'm here," Becca whispered.

They lay there, wrapped around each other, hearts gradually slowing. Becca traced lazy patterns on Margot's shoulder, more content than she'd been in years.

"I don't want this to end," she admitted.

"It doesn't have to." Margot pulled her closer. "We'll make it work. I don't know how yet, but we will."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. We will."

They kissed again, soft and sweet. Then Margot's hand was trailing down her body, and the night wasn't over yet.

"Again?" she asked.

"I did say we have all night." Margot's smile was wicked in the moonlight. "I intend to make the most of it."

They did.

Much later, hours later, when they'd exhausted every position and memorized every inch of each other's bodies, they lay tangled, sweat-damp and completely spent.

"I have a confession," Margot said.

"Mmm?"

"I'm falling in love with you."

Becca's heart stopped. Started again. "Yeah?"

"It's terrifying and probably too fast and I don't know what I'm doing. But I thought you should know."

Becca propped herself up on one elbow, looking down at Margot. Her hair was a mess. Her eyes were bright. She looked vulnerable in a way Becca had never seen before.

"I'm falling in love with you too," Becca said. "In case that wasn't obvious."

"It was kind of obvious."

"I'm not subtle."

"No. You're not." Margot smiled, that real smile, the one Becca had spent all weekend trying to earn. "It's one of my favorite things about you."

Becca kissed her, slow and sweet.

"So we're doing this," she said when they broke apart. Margot's eyelashes were damp. Becca brushed a thumb across them. "Long distance and all."

"For real."

"Okay." Becca grinned. "But you're coming to visit me first. I'm going to make you the best croissants you've ever had."

"That sounds like a bribe."

"It's a promise."

They fell asleep wrapped around each other, the question of tomorrow finally answered.
