Epilogue
TWO YEARS LATER
Oh my God”, I shakily breathe out. My hands feel clammy and I can't seem to stop fidgeting around.
“Come on, you're already two minutes late.” Ryleigh tries to usher me out the door.
“Shut up. I need to cool my shit,” I say, shaking out my sweaty hands.
“Elora, you've already had three of Axe's kids. This wedding will be a breeze.” Lizzy smiles.
“Doesn't make this any easier,” I mumble.
“You're backwards.” Olly chuckles. “Most women are thrilled to get married and nervous about having kids. You literally did everything the other way around.”
The women in the room chuckle while I glare at them all.
I don't know why I'm nervous. I think it's just the common anticipation everyone feels before their wedding.
I turn to the mirror and look at my princess-like appearance.
The pure white dress highlights my small waist, or in other words, squishes all my organs to make my waist small.
The neckline is beautiful and classy, slightly accentuating my larger breasts since having children.
The straps are pretty. The bottom of the dress is wide.
It's like a ball gown. My veil is gold with a big train.
My tiara is gold and made of rhinestones.
Axe wanted the theme of the wedding to be black and gold so Ryleigh suggested the gold veil and tiara.
I have never felt more beautiful than in this moment.
“Are you ready?” Amelia asks.
“Is it hot or is it just me? I'm glad my hair is up.”
The women end up pulling me out of the room because the wedding is already running late. We go down the hall of the fancy wedding location. When we arrive at the double doors, Dash, Brian and Cash are waiting there.
“Finally,” Brian says.
“Damn, Elora. Now that's a dress for a luna,” Dash compliments.
“Mummy.” Cash tries to grab me but the dress is too wide.
“Cash, are you ready? When we go in, you have to stand with daddy,” I tell him.
“Yes.”
Cash looks so cute in his tux. He's almost three. He's growing up too fast. He's well-disciplined but he can be cheeky. When he starts running, he's got quite a speed for a two-year-old. I get frustrated trying to chase him but when I hear his naughty giggle, all I can do is smile.
“Let's get this started.” Olly signals someone and the music starts.
I stand to the side while Amelia and Cash go in first. Amelia awkwardly leans down so she can hold Cash's hand as they walk.
I hear the audience 'aww' then Axe's voice telling Cash to stand beside him.
Dash and Ryleigh link arms and go in next, followed by Brian and Olly then Timothy and Carson. The music changes for my entry.
“You're beautiful, Elora.” Lizzy smiles and slips her arm through mine.
“Thanks, Mum.” I smile and take a deep breath as we step into the doorway.
When I see the room I'm stunned, not by the decorations, which I've already seen, but the audience.
The whole pack is here, plus a few humans who helped plan the wedding are standing around, doing their jobs by making sure the wedding runs smoothly.
This is different to meetings. The meeting hall is huge and Axe and I will always come out on stage by the front.
This time I'm walking down the middle of the pack, passing each row of pack members.
I'm so glad I have my mum escorting me. The room is dimly lit so the gold decorations give a glorious light effect to the room.
My eyes land on Axe and I feel like I may possibly drool at the sight.
He's wearing a black tux with a gold tie.
His hair is in a stylish way. His tux is clinging to his muscles.
My eyes drift down to his pants, which are tight.
Everything about his appearance is perfect.
He seems to just be getting sexier with age.
I'm surprised to see he shaved his beard off.
When I saw him two days ago, he had a sexy beard.
Not long or bushy, it was more stubble-like, medium length and kept neat.
When he started growing it, it was new to me but I became very attracted to it.
But now, as I'm looking at him, he's clean shaven, looking younger than he has been this last year with his beard.
I see my twin girls in the front row, sitting in between Manson and Mandy. They're trying to keep the girls still. When I reach the front, Axe grabs my hands. His smile is broad and doesn't falter at all.
“I'm at a loss for words,” he lets out.
The ceremony starts and all I can do is stare at Axe. I can barely hear the ceremony being performed. When it gets to the vows, Axe goes first.
“Elora, you have honestly taken away all my senses except my eyes right now.
I can't stop staring at how incredibly exquisite you look,” Axe says, making me smile.
“I know vows are to express feelings but if I began, the words would be endless.
I'll say now, I promise to love and protect you until the day I die.
I want to say thank you for everything you've done for me; for giving me my children, for standing by my side, and for saving my soul.
For a long time, I thought I would be standing here with someone else.
As much as I loved Alina, if I hadn't lost her, I wouldn't have the greatest life I could have imagined with you.
I know she's staring down at us now with a smile because you and I found a love greater than anyone could imagine.”
I know his words about Alina would definitely sound strange to humans, but I know every werewolf here understands what he's saying. His vows definitely make my eyes water. When it's my turn, I let out a breath.
“Axe, I love you. You have given me a life I never thought I would have. I didn't know happiness was real until I met you.”
Even though Axe is smiling, his eyes are watering. This beautiful man is the reason for my happiness. This once damaged man has become a symbol of strength. And he empowered me to find mine.
“To express what I'm thinking right now, I would put it into these words. Our souls were broken, and now they've mended as one.”
