Epilogue

“Remember when you forgot to say goodbye?”
I’m grinning like a fool because sometimes getting her riled up is fun.
Especially because we always end up in the bedroom afterward.
What’s not to be happy about? I’m married to this incredible woman, and our problems are not only behind us but thousands of miles away as we enjoy the turquoise waters of the Maldives.
With her head resting on my shoulder as we lie in bed with the water not ten feet from the end of the mattress, she says, “I didn’t forget.
Love like ours is rare. No way was I walking away unscathed.
” She shrugs her right shoulder. “It was more of a see you later and a kiss on the lips since I knew we’d always find our way back together again. ”
“You kissed me goodbye?”
“You were like Sleeping Beauty lying there—”
“Funny.” I laugh without amusement entwined.
Although she’s pretty good at teasing, I slow blink at her until she says, “Fine. You were still stupidly sexy even sleeping, so I couldn’t resist kissing you again.”
“That’s more like it.” My ego gets drunk off the compliment. Holding her a little closer, I take her hand and rub it over my sheet-covered cock.
“Pfft.” She giggles. “Are you ever not horny?”
“With you, Mrs. Westcott? Never. We’ve got to make the most of our honeymoon since we traveled halfway around the world.”
Pushing up, she reaches for something bedside before settling on top of me and straddling my legs. She bends to kiss me, and then says, “Good. I’ll never tire of you either, Mr. Westcott. What are your thoughts about having another baby?”
I grin, rubbing the sides of her hips. “I’ll make a baby with you.”
She kisses my neck and then my jaw before kissing me on the mouth. I dig my fingers into her hair and deepen it. She pulls back just enough to catch her breath. Lifting, she says, “We’re a few steps ahead.”
“What do you mean?”
“Remember that night in the Hamptons?”
I smirk. “Which one?”
“The only one that matters—our wedding night.”
Caressing her face, I lift to steal a kiss from her lips. “I’ll never forget.”
“Neither will I.” Something cold is slid between us.
When I lie back, I see the test she’s holding and the screen that reads, “Pregnant.”
Pregnant. “You’re pregnant?”
She nods as tears fill her eyes. Not an ounce of doubt enters my thoughts, only happiness fills my heart. And a few tears threaten the corners of my eyes as I look into hers welling. “You’re amazing, my love.”
Her smile brightens my day along with this news. “We’re always better together.” Laughter escapes her as if she’d been holding it in for months. I guess she has. She asks, “You ready to be a daddy again?”
I give her a wink. “I was born for this, babe.”
Biting her lip, she then releases and says, “Yes, you were.”
