Chapter Nine #3

When the move-in date finally arrived, Sebastian himself sent a moving truck to transport her newly acquired wardrobe and personal items from her father’s place straight to their new home.

The transition into the new villa was seamless and it truly felt like home and they were so excited to build a new life together.

To mark the fresh start of their life together, Sebastian insisted on hosting a private housewarming and formal renewal ceremony right in their sprawling backyard. He called it a home christening and a private rededication of their vows in front of the people who mattered most.

On a perfect, balmy Saturday evening, the estate grounds were transformed into a romantic, magical sanctuary.

Dozens of warm fairy lights were strung through the heavy branches of the ancient oak trees, casting a soft, golden glow over the manicured lawn. The air was filled with the rich scent of blooming red roses and night-blooming jasmine.

Only a handful of close friends and family were invited to witness the occasion. Arthur stood near the pool, dressed in a sharp tuxedo, holding a glass of vintage champagne and smiling broadly as he chatted with the private minister who had agreed to officiate the intimate ceremony.

As the sun began to set over the horizon, painting the Miami sky in brilliant colours, acoustic strings began to play a soft, romantic melody near the courtyard fountain.

Sebastian stood at the end of the stone aisle, near a grand archway woven entirely from roses. He looked so handsome in a dark, tailored tuxedo, his hands clasped in front of him and his eyes locked firmly onto the rear glass doors of the villa.

The doors opened, and Elizabeth stepped out onto the lawn.

Sebastian’s breath caught in his throat, his heart beat faster at the sight of his wife’s beauty. She wore an exquisite ivory slip dress that draped gracefully over her toned curves. Her blonde hair was styled in soft, elegant waves, and her eyes were shining with radiant joy.

Arthur stepped forward, proudly offering her his arm, and walked his daughter down the short aisle, gently placing her hand into Sebastian’s waiting palm.

“Take good care of my girl, Sebastian,” Arthur whispered warmly, his voice thick with pride.

“With my life,” Sebastian replied firmly, his fingers closing securely around Beth’s hand, pulling her close to his side before the floral archway.

The minister stepped forward, opening his book as the small gathering grew entirely still.

“We are gathered here today,” the minister began softly, “not to join two strangers in matrimony, but to bless and rededicate the sacred bond between Sebastian and Elizabeth, as they open the doors to their new home and their new future together.”

When the time came for their personal vows, Sebastian took both of her hands in his, looking directly into her eyes with an intensity that made her heart leap.

“Elizabeth,” he began. “Five years ago, I was a foolish, arrogant man who took the greatest gift in my life for granted. I swear to you today, on my life, that I will spend every single day of our future proving how deeply I love, respect, and treasure you.”

Tears of happiness welled up in Beth’s eyes and she squeezed his hands tightly, before reciting her own vows.

“Sebastian,” Beth whispered. “I choose you today, tomorrow and for every day of our lives. You are my husband, my love and my home.”

“By the authority vested in me,” the minister declared with a broad smile, “I bless this home, and I pronounce your love renewed and everlasting. Sebastian, you may kiss your bride.”

Sebastian didn’t wait a single second. He wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her slightly off her feet then brought his lips down on hers in a deep, passionate kiss.

The small crowd erupted into enthusiastic applause and cheers. Champagne glasses clinked and the string quartet struck up a joyful tune that echoed through the compound.

The celebration continued long into the night under the warm canopy of stars. They shared a lavish, multi-course dinner near the pool, drank fine wine, and danced together on the stone patio.

When the last of their guests had finally departed and the estate grew quiet once more, Sebastian carried Elizabeth across the threshold of their new master suite and set her down gently onto the massive, soft bed.

He stood over her and slowly unbuttoned his jacket before tossing it aside. Through the glass terrace doors, the garden lights glowed softly, casting a romantic warmth over the room.

Beth looked up at him, reaching out her arms to welcome him into her space. “You are never getting away from me again, Mrs. Moore.” Sebastian declared softly, sliding in beside her with his hands tracing her curves with endless reverence.

“Good,” Beth murmured against his lips, pulling his weight down over her frame. “Because I am right where I belong.”

They celebrated their renewed vows the best way they knew how to, by passionately making love until they both collapsed into the pillows, breathless and spent.
