Hello, Holly and Anna,

I have a recurring dream about you two. You’re on a picnic and the setting is magical, with a delicious spread of sandwiches and salads and sparkling waters on the table.

The grass is such a rich, bright green, it doesn’t look real.

And off in the distance is a lake spotted with sailboats.

Overhead, cotton ball clouds frolic in the sky.

Jack is there, and Quinn. So is Leo. There are also two little girls I’ve never seen, but I know they’re Anna and Leo’s.

(Does it surprise you, Anna, that I figured out where your heart lies?

And that I arranged for him to meet you in Aspen?)

You’re playing frisbee, the adults against the kids, and sadly (but not surprisingly), you adults are getting trounced.

There’s laughter and fun and food and games.

I see Jack and Leo fist-bump, and Holly and Anna high-five.

The kids giggle and whoop, running circles around you.

Everybody is happy and content, which makes my heart full.

It reminds me—because I believe it with every fiber of my being—you two are the best thing for each other.

(Next to your adorable husbands, of course.)

I’m sending you back to Greece for a fresh start, not to address old wounds. Everything you do there will be new, different from last time. New hotel, new adventures, and (fingers crossed) new memories. Good ones, so that you think back on Greece with fondness, not dread.

Here’s what I’d love for you to do: Pick your adventure.

Go exploring, experience something new together.

Try a new food or a new drink. You get to decide where to scatter my ashes.

My only request is that it’s a place where you’re the happiest together.

That way, I’ll be there, too, whenever you think back on that moment.

Don’t forget me and Ava.

xo,

Z.
