9. Keith #3

Well, I did. Even though I knew it was far too soon, that was the only word that came close.

I was drawn to Olivia in a way I never could have anticipated.

Everything about her fascinated me. Her humor.

Her intelligence. Her ability to be so forthright, which was exceedingly hard to find in people. And did I mention she was hilarious?

“I guess it’s time to say goodnight,” I said, even though I didn’t want to do that at all. We’d spent the entire night together, and somehow, it still wasn’t enough. I was pleasantly full of good food and even better conversation. When was the last time I’d felt so satiated in both ways?

“I suppose it is,” she said with the tiniest sigh. “Although…” she murmured, taking a step closer and looking up at me through her lashes. She rested her hand on my chest, and just like that, the barrier of touch between us was broken.

“Yeah?”

I wondered if she could feel my heart thundering under her palm, because it was going a mile a minute at the sensation of her touch.

She was so gorgeous, and I had been trying to keep my thoughts respectful all evening.

Not only because she deserved it, but also, I’d never been the type to feel comfortable sleeping with someone without knowing them for a while.

It felt too weird to let myself be that vulnerable with a virtual stranger.

But Olivia didn’t feel like a stranger…

“It doesn’t have to be.”

***

My back slammed into my wall as Olivia’s legs wrapped around my waist, our lips moving against each other with an urgency I wasn’t aware I possessed.

When we’d entered my home, I’d started things by getting it out of the way that I never expected anything and just because she was in my home, nothing sexual had to happen. I got maybe a syllable out before she was kissing me, and I was not complaining.

She was soft, so perfectly soft in every way. Even fully clothed, I could feel the swell of her breasts pressing into me. The give of her stomach and sides where my hands roved over her before supporting her ass after she jumped up on me was downright intoxicating.

“Are you sure?” I managed to respond when there was a break in our kiss.

I desperately wanted her to say yes, but it needed to come from her without any influence on my part.

Nothing killed my libido more than the thought that my partner wasn’t enthusiastically turned on and completely up for getting down.

“Mmmmhmmm,” she murmured, tilting her head back, her eyes closed as if in ecstasy. But it wasn’t quite enough for me.

“Need a real yes, Olivia,” I rumbled, and fuck, I already sounded so wrecked.

And I was. I had to be in order to be so ready and very willing to get down on the first date.

Because I didn’t want it to be just our first date.

Already my mind was filled with it being the first of many.

I was getting ahead of myself, and I knew that, but how could I not?

Suddenly, her head snapped back, and I was staring into those eyes of hers again. Except something must have been different about the lights in my house, because instead of that warm and perfect amber, I swore her eyes were gold around the edges.

“Yes,” she said, voice low and downright erotic. “Yes, Keith, I want this. I want you. And I know it’s soon and we hardly know each other, but I promise you…” She leaned in, her full lips brushing against mine with every articulation of her mouth. “I. Want. This!”

Yes, ma’am!

I kissed her again, harder, deeper. Usually, I had to be careful to keep my strength in check, but I could feel a sort of steel in Olivia. She had to have some previous martial arts or swimming experience because her core strength was so effortlessly on display.

That turned me on even more. The combination of her deep softness and intense strength was the best of both worlds.

It drove me crazy, and maybe it was some stupid caveman shit, but I didn’t care.

From the breadth of those gorgeous hips to the feel of the power in her forearms as she gripped me, she was driving me absolutely insane.

“Take me to your bedroom,” she demanded against my mouth, and I took solace in the fact that she sounded as overwhelmed as I was. Consumed even. I didn’t move right away though, kissing my way down her chin and her neck, setting my teeth there. “Oh fuck!”

There it was. The slightly plaintive, definitely emphatic cry that tumbled over the edge of what was proper and right down into utter desire. I’d needed to hear that.

“Right this way,” I murmured, pushing off the wall and carrying her down the hall and up the stairs. The whole while, I was intimately aware of how she was pressed against me, how she clung to me, and especially the way she set about my neck, leaving marks I’d have to cover with a turtleneck.

The things we do for lust.

But at the same time, it felt a bit deeper than that. Which was insane to think all things considered, but I could verbally lash myself for it tomorrow. Right now, I only wanted to think about the incredible woman in my arms.

“You’re so fucking strong,” she whispered almost reverently as I reached my room and set her down gently on my California king bed.
