OLIVIA

COMING TOGETHER AND brEAKING (BED FRAMES) APART

I was dying.

Or maybe I’d already died and had ascended to a realm of pure pleasure, because that was pretty much the only explanation I had for the feelings swamping my entire nervous system.

All throughout my life, I’d heard jokes about bigger guys knowing how to eat. I never figured it was a promise. The way Keith was kissing me, licking me, using his nose and chin in a coordinated effort with his mouth had me practically levitating off the mattress.

“Keith….” I crooned, embarrassingly high-pitched as he circled the tip of his tongue around my clit, teasing but not giving me the direct pleasure I wanted.

There was a minute part of my brain that was amused at me mewling such a white boy name since I’d always assumed I’d end up with an Italian shifter but—

You’re not ending up with anyone, girl! another, much sharper part of my mind practically shouted. It was almost enough to knock me out of the rush I felt building in my middle.

Right.

This was our first date, and we hadn’t discussed going out again. For all intents and purposes, we were two consenting adults hooking up. Nothing less, and nothing more.

Even if I really, really wanted it to be more.

Not only because I felt like I was going to come harder than I had in years, but also because I genuinely liked Keith.

His sense of humor, his gentleness combined with his intense masculine strength and bulk, his looks, his smile, his goofiness.

All of it. I wanted to know more about him, to learn more of his fears, his triumphs.

And I wanted him to know me like that too.

Then one of his fingers slid inside of me, crooking it just so to hit an electric spot inside me. It felt so good, I nearly arched completely off the bed.

“That’s it,” he murmured into me. If I wasn’t a wolf, there was no way I would have been able to hear it. As it was, I barely could with all the blood rushing to my ears. Funny, given how intense I was feeling, I would have thought it was all going to my cl— “Don’t forget to breathe, Olivia.”

Oh right. That was important.

I drew in a ragged breath, my entire body trembling, and without much warning beyond the pressure building in my pelvis, I was suddenly launched out of my corporeal form.

At least, that’s how it felt. One moment I was drawn so tight that Robin Hood could have fired a volley of arrows from me to win Maid Marian’s hand, the next I was launched into the stratosphere.

Every muscle in my body tensed so hard I thought I was about to pull something, and then, relief. Relief and pleasure and excitement and joy and… and… and… I didn’t even know. Every sense, every synapse was flooded with bliss that would put even my Hitachi to shame.

How was Keith single? Surely there had to be something wrong with him, or else human women were certifiably insane. Not only was he handsome and funny, but he could also make me come so hard I maybe threw my own back out?

Sign me the fuck up.

Potentially a thousand years passed while I was astral projecting outside of my body from the force of my orgasm, or maybe it was only a full minute. By the time I collapsed back onto the bed, I was damp with sweat and so utterly boneless that I wondered if it was possible for me to float away.

I could smell how pleased Keith was with himself, dopamine and attraction from him flooding the room enough to compete with the scent of my climax.

But that sense of mine was dulled when he climbed up my body and kissed me, because then all I could taste was us.

His lips and my slick combined to make something delicious.

Suddenly, even though I was still full of contentment, it wasn’t quite enough contentment and I found myself craving being riled up all over again.

That pesky voice at the back of my mind spoke up again, whispering that I’d never be satisfied without a wolf knot, but I ignored it and all the other pessimistic things it said.

Tonight wasn’t the time to be realistic. Tonight was for hope.

For fun.

For joy.

For us.

Even if I didn’t know what us meant, or even if there would be an us at all, that was for the next day.

I gripped Keith’s broad, strong shoulders and let out a whine before I finally found my words. “…inside me.”

He paused the kiss that had largely swallowed what I said, his kind eyes much sharper, more dangerous in a way that thrilled me. “What was that?”

I swallowed, realizing I needed a little more enunciation if I wanted his dick-tation.

“I want you inside me,” I managed to get out.

I’d never really been one for dirty talk in my life because I found it cringy, but this didn’t feel like dirty talk at all.

I was telling Keith what I needed because I trusted him to give me exactly that.

“Are you ready?”

I nodded, all words fleeing my mind as his hands went to the zipper of his dress slacks.

I liked him in overalls, jeans, and even those dark pants, but there was something particularly seductive about him unzipping and pulling down his briefs to show his long, pale length which was already blushing and straining for me.

“Fuck,” I whispered. Who cared if he didn’t have a knot? Keith’s cock matched the rest of him: absolutely massive.

“Do you want to come again?” he murmured when my eyes landed on his length. Even from where I was I could see the veins bulging along the sides. “My partners usually need a little extra preparation.”

A scholar and a gentleman, I was sure.

But that was the thing, his previous partners likely weren’t shifters with enhanced healing and biology meant to take a knot. So if anyone could skip some of the being careful, it was me.

“I’m good,” I said hastily. “Really, really good.”

“Good.” He kissed me, then leaned to the side to open a drawer on his bedside stand. The distinctive smell of latex hit me.

“Oh, I’m on birth control,” I murmured. I knew humans also used condoms to avoid STIs, but that wasn’t something us shifters had to deal with.

Except for pubic lice. But I was not going to think about that. If there was one thing that could ruin the mood, it was that.

But Keith was still looking at me like he couldn’t believe or wasn’t sure he heard me right, so I continued.

“I’ve got a clean bill of health.” It was tempting to fib about having a clean test record, but as a wolf, I didn’t exactly go to human clinics.

Maybe I would have had to as a kid if my pack didn’t have such a strong network, but we had a doctor in the family who would say we got all the shots and checkups to be a part of human society.

He used what we paid him to treat various people in need.

My family was more than happy to pay the rather paltry amounts for our own integration into the modern world and doubly happy that it went to people who needed it.

Technically, it was insurance fraud, but who cared?

As a shifter, that whole scheme seemed evil to me anyway.

Man, my post-orgasm brain went on some weird tangents.

“I haven’t slept with anyone since I was last tested,” Keith murmured, and holy shit, the way his scent spiked even higher was like a drug to my bloodstream.

“Do you…” I licked my lips, trying not to sound like I was putting pressure on him, but I hated the smell of condoms. It was downright nauseating, and nausea could go on the list of things not conducive for me getting climax number two, electric boogaloo.

And if anyone could make me orgasm from penetration, I had no doubt it was the man above me whose face was still shiny from the first one he’d given me. “Wanna go without it?”

“We probably shouldn’t,” he murmured, and even though I could smell how much he wanted it, smell how much he wanted me, I wasn’t about to coerce him.

“Okay, that’s fi—”

“Do you? Want to go without it, that is.”

Would telling the truth count as coercion? I didn’t think so, but it was difficult to think clearly when I was throbbing for him. My inner wolf was so close to the surface that I was surprised I wasn’t shifting and my teeth weren’t growing sharper.

I was going to go with the theme of the night, which was total honesty. Except for that whole being-a-wolf thing.

“Yeah, if you’re comfortable, I’d like to. But if you’re not, I’m okay using it.”

I felt bad for making the man think in his state, because I could practically see the veins along the side of his cock pulsing, and God, no one was ever going to be able to tell me shit about anything after seeing physical evidence of someone wanting me that intensely.

“I… I would like not to as well.”

“We’re on the same page then.”

Our voices were barely whispers, but we shared a look that wasn’t hurried or desperate. It was a gentle sort of… I didn’t even know what to call it. Acknowledgement? Trust?

Or maybe it was just that, in a moment that usually involved a lot of blind fumbling and panicked guessing, we were really seeing each other.

And it felt really good to be seen.

The moment lasted almost too long, the mood beginning to shift from erotic to something softer, subtler, but then he closed the drawer and centered himself over me again.

Somehow, he looked even bigger as he dragged his swollen head against my already soaking lips.

If I weren’t a shifter, I knew I’d be swaying a little the next day, but that was okay.

I was going to keep how sore he made me in my head to think about whenever I needed a boost. Or if my Hitachi died mid-session again and I had to do some acoustic fingering.

“Breathe for me,” he murmured before letting go of himself to grip my hand and move it to his chest. “Tap twice if you want me to pause but can’t say anything, okay?”
