Epilogue
Jett
Five years later
I tugged on my jeans, pausing when they slid a little too easily over my hips.
“Son of a bitch.”
I glanced at Wes, who was trying to yank a pair of identical jeans over his thighs.
“Pretty sure those are mine,” I said, biting back a laugh at his struggles.
Wes looked up, a puzzled expression on his handsome face. I tugged on the too-loose waistband to show him how big they were. “Don’t think you’re going to be able to squish into them.”
He looked down at the pants still trapped around his thighs and chuckled softly. “Oops. For a second there, I thought I was going crazy and that my pants had somehow shrunk, or I grew. That orgasm knocked me stupid.” He shook his head and started working the jeans back down his legs.
I shucked off the jeans, feeling absurdly pleased with myself. Wes and I had gotten distracted while tidying up our bedroom and had ended up doing a quick and dirty sixty-nine that had us both coming in less than five minutes. The orgasm had knocked me stupid too.
“I send you boys to do a simple chore, and I come back to find you like this?”
Wes and I turned to find Ez leaning against the door, his arms crossed over his chest and a stern look on his face.
“Sorry.” I lowered my lashes and peered up at him, knowing exactly what that would do to him.
“Brat.” He palmed his hardening cock.
“Who, me?” I asked, swapping pants with Wes.
“Yeah, you.” Ez’s heated stare made my spent dick twitch and my stomach clench.
“How long do we have until everyone gets here?” Wes asked, pulling on his pants with ease now that he had the right ones.
“Ten minutes.” Ez slid his gaze to Wes. “But you know people are going to be early.”
“I mean, I got Wes off in less than five…” I let that hang in the air.
“Tempting.” Ez flicked the piercing in his lip in that way he knew drove me crazy. “Maybe I should make you suck me off in the main hallway. What do you think about that? See if you can get me off before everyone sees what a cockslut you are?”
I shivered. “Do it.”
He crossed the room in three long strides, crowding me against the wall with a predatory growl that made my body tighten.
“Or maybe I’ll wait until everyone leaves and bend you over the new couch.” He put his lips next to my ear. “Spread you out and worship your ass until you’re begging for my cock.”
I bumped my dick against his. “Then what are you going to do to me?”
He let out a low, raspy chuckle. “That’s for me to know and you to find out.”
“That’s not fair.” I let my head fall back against the wall, exposing my throat to him.
“Nope.” He nipped at my neck, not biting hard enough to leave marks, but just hard enough to sting. “And what are you going to do about it?”
I opened my mouth to answer, but Ez took it in a deep kiss that stole my breath and made my brain go quiet.
“That’s what I thought,” he murmured against my lips. “Now be a good boy and make yourself presentable before our guests arrive.” He gave me another mind-melting kiss, then stepped back.
I wobbled on my feet and blinked to clear my head.
Ez’s smile went from wicked to affectionate, and this time, when he leaned in, his kiss was sweet. “Love you,” he whispered.
“Love you too.” I pressed another kiss against his lips and flicked my gaze to Wes. “C’mere.”
With a soft smile, he stepped up to my side. His kiss was just as sweet as Ez’s. “Love you,” I said on a sigh.
“Love you too.” He ran his hand down my back and gave my ass a quick squeeze. “Tonight, this is ours.”
I groaned as my dick went half-hard.
Even after all these years together, Ez and Wes could still reduce me to a puddle with a single look or a whispered word. It didn’t matter how many times we kissed or touched, how many times they said they loved me. Every time felt as amazing as the first.
Wes turned to Ez and gave him a blistering kiss that made my dick ache with need. I was just reaching for them when the doorbell rang.
“Of course,” I muttered, dropping my arms. “Whose brilliant idea was it to have a housewarming party?”
“Yours,” Ez reminded me.
“And whose idea was it to listen to me?” I arched one eyebrow at him. “Pretty sure this is a you problem.”
“Brat.” He lightly smacked my ass as Wes slipped out of the bedroom to presumably answer the door.
“You love it.”
“I do.” His eyes went soft. “So much.”
My chest squeezed. “Me too. So much.”
He pecked a kiss against my lips, all traces of his sexy persona gone. “We should get downstairs before Nick or River come looking for us. We don’t need a repeat of the last time they came over.”
I grimaced at the memories of Nick, with River hot on his heels, catching us as we’d been going at it in the hallway near the front door. Luckily we’d been expecting them, so we’d only been kissing and groping each other, but poor Nick had screeched out an apology and run out of the house like his shoes were on fire. “That’ll teach us to leave our door unlocked.”
“And remind us to not get our freak on out in the open when we’re expecting guests at any moment.” He took my hand and tugged me toward the door. “How’s your dick doing?”
“It would be doing a lot better if it was in your mouth,” I grumbled, letting him lead me to the stairs. Muffled voices floated around us. It sounded like Noah, Hayden, and the twins were here.
“Be a good boy and you’ll get your wish.”
I shot him a mock glare, which made him laugh.
“Come on, let’s go be good hosts.” He lifted my hand and brushed a kiss against my knuckles.
I shivered and followed him down the stairs, trying to make my dick deflate so I didn’t greet our friends with a giant boner.
“Happy housewarming!” Nick, River, and Noah shouted when we were on the bottom step.
Pop !
“Eeek!” Nick shrieked as large pieces of confetti rained down on us.
“Was that a confetti gun?” Wes asked with a chuckle, brushing a few stray bits of the colorful pieces from his hair.
“Close.” Nick held up what looked like a spent Roman Candle. “It’s a confetti bomb.”
“And now we’ll be finding confetti for the next ten years.” Ez ruffled Nick’s hair playfully.
Nick pirouetted out of his reach with a mischievous grin.
“Not it.” River looked around the hallway.
“Not it?” Noah asked.
“Not it for cleaning this up.” He waved his hand around.
“It’s biodegradable.” Nick waved dismissively. “Nothing to worry about.”
“Biodegradable doesn’t mean self-cleaning.” Zane slung his arm over Nick’s shoulder.
“Knock knock.”
We turned to find Quinn, Tristan, and their son, Leo, at the door.
“Hey, come on in.” Wes waved for them to enter. “Watch the confetti.”
“This was a choice.” Quinn looked around, then zeroed in on River and Nick. “I’m gonna guess it was you two.”
“Who, us?” River blinked innocently as Nick hid the remnants of the confetti bomb behind his back and smiled serenely.
“Happy housewarming.” Leo beamed a big smile at us and held out an envelope.
“What’s this?” I asked as Ez took it from him.
“Just a little housewarming gift,” Tristan said.
Ez opened the envelope and pulled out a gift card.
“It’s for a bed-and-breakfast just outside of town,” Quinn explained. “That’s enough for a weekend away, meals included.”
“This is too much.” Ez handed the card to Wes so he could see it.
“It didn’t cost us anything.” Tristan held up his hands in surrender. “We stayed there a few months ago, and they were running a contest. I put my business card in the bowl, and they pulled it.”
“You should use it.” Wes passed it to me.
“We want you to have it.” Quinn’s grin was wicked. “Celebrate the big three-oh and mourn the end of your youth in style.”
Ez shot him a flat look. “You had to remind me of that.”
His birthday was next week, and we’d all been teasing him about it mercilessly.
“Yup.” Quinn cuffed Ez on the shoulder. “You were relentless when I turned thirty. Time to reap what you sow.”
“Fair enough,” Ez conceded.
“Does anyone want a drink?” Wes asked.
“I’ll help you,” Tristan offered.
“Me too.” River followed them into the kitchen.
“Stay out of the cupcakes,” I called.
“What’s that?” River called back. “Eat all the cupcakes? Don’t mind if I do!”
Zane and Hayden exchanged a look. Wordlessly, Hayden hurried into the kitchen to hopefully save River from the sweets.
“Where’s Evan?” I asked Nick.
“Right here.”
We all swung our gazes to the front door as Evan and Vlado stepped inside, looking as big and imposing as always.
Nick scurried over to Evan and tucked himself up against his boyfriend’s side. “All done being a big, bad boss on your day off?”
Vlado covered a laugh with a fake cough. “He’s got your number, Ev.”
“All done.” Evan held Nick tight.
“Is Emily still out of town?” I asked Vlado, referring to his wife, who was also Evan’s sister.
“Unfortunately.” He said ruefully.
“How about we head into the kitchen and grab some drinks, then head to the backyard and fire up the grill?” Ez suggested. “It’s getting a bit cramped in here.”
“Dibs on being grillmaster!” Nick untangled himself from Evan and darted into the kitchen.
“Darling, remember what happened the last time you tried to grill something,” Evan said, hurrying after him.
Vlado trailed behind them, snickering.
“Is it as bad as I think it is?” I asked Vlado.
“Worse.” He disappeared into the kitchen.
Ez and I exchanged a look as Wes came back into the hallway.
“Jesse’s going to be late.” He wiggled his phone at us. “But he’s bringing beer, so I told him it’s fine.”
“Are we late?” Gray asked from the still-open door, a pile of carefully balanced containers in his arms.
“Not at all. Need a hand?” I asked.
“We’re good,” he said as Caleb came into the house carrying a giant cooler. “Is Evan here? I’m going to need him to be on Nick duty so he doesn’t try and help me grill.”
“Already in the kitchen, and Nick’s already declared himself the grillmaster, FYI,” I said.
“Of course he has.” Gray smiled and shifted one of the precariously balanced containers. “Is it okay if we put some of these in the fridge?” he asked Wes.
“Yeah, wherever you can find room.”
The two of them disappeared into the kitchen with Zane and Noah, leaving the three of us in the hallway.
“Happy housewarming,” I said to my men.
“Happy housewarming.” Ez drew both me and Wes in for a hug. “How does it feel to finally be homeowners?”
“Amazing,” I said. “I’m proud of us.”
“Me too,” Wes said.
“Me three.” Ez gave us a little squeeze.
Blissfully, I leaned my head against Ez’s strong shoulder and listened to our friends laughing and joking around in the kitchen.
Things between us were as good as they’d ever been, and I still couldn’t believe that I’d not only found one, but two men who loved me exactly as I was.
Being part of a triad wasn’t easy, and we’d had to deal with our share of assholes who had issues with us loving each other, but they were nothing more than background noise.
Our friends and our chosen families loved and supported us, and that was all that mattered.
It had taken time to fully let go of the fear that I could never truly be a part of them and they’d eventually get tired of me, but Wes and Ez had been patient and perfect and never once made me feel bad for my trauma or issues. They’d shown me what unconditional love was and helped me shed the scars of my past while helping me create a future filled with all the things I never thought I’d have and wasn’t sure I wanted.
We’d moved in together as soon as I was able to get out of my lease, but that had just been a formality because I hadn’t slept alone since the night they’d saved me at the club. It might have felt fast to a lot of people, but I’d never been happier than I was when I got to come home to the two most incredible men I’d ever known.
Last month, we bought our first house together, and after weeks of doing little repairs and moving our stuff in, we were finally ready to show it off and have our chosen family over. It wasn’t much, just a small garden home in need of some TLC, but it was ours, and I knew it was just the first in a lifetime of homes we’d make together.
My family hadn’t changed their minds about me, and I knew they never would. Losing them still hurt, but I was done grieving the past and ready to focus on having the best future possible. I had my friends who had become my family, I had the men I loved by my side, and I was happy. Truly happy.
For over twenty years, I’d felt like a stranger in my own life. Like I’d been watching it from the outside, alone and lost.
Now I was able to live my authentic life surrounded by people who not only supported me but also loved me and chose to be there for me.
Things weren’t perfect, but they were pretty damn awesome, and I couldn’t wait to see what the future held for us.
