Orion

The same repetitive mantra kept filtering its way through my head.

You shouldn’t be here. You shouldn’t be here. You shouldn’t be here.

It didn’t make me get up or walk out the front door. Nope. My ass was glued to that bar stool as Victor set my usual beer in front of me. The first dancer took the stage. I wasn’t all that interested in the pink-haired woman who wore a too-tight corset as she spun around a pole.

“You doing okay, man?” Victor asked as he poured a drink for another customer.

I laughed at the question. “Define okay.”

He laughed at my response. “That’s fair. This place is a madhouse tonight. I don’t think I’ve seen you here on a Friday night before.”

Because I hadn’t really been there on a Friday night, but after the other night with Whitney?

My head wasn’t on straight at all. I needed to recenter myself.

I didn’t know why this felt like the way to do that.

Something about seeing Sable seemed like the right thing to do, and that made little sense.

My life had been turned upside down since the first moment I’d seen him.

“Gotta keep you guessing. Don’t want to be too predictable.”

Victor only laughed at my answer before he took the drink to the person he’d been making it for.

He returned to the spot in front of me as he started making more drinks for more patrons.

It was so strange how I’d become such a friend to this guy that he felt the need to stand there carrying on a full conversation with me.

“Predictable? Nah. I think you throw me off every time you’re in here. Hopefully, I won’t need you to save my boy again tonight.”

I pointed at him. “Don’t ever do that to me again. I like him, don’t get me wrong, but maybe check that I’m actually someone who drove to the club first.”

Victor only laughed. “Shit, man. Sorry. That had to be awkward. What did you do?”

“I had to walk him back to my place to get my truck.”

Victor set the bottles on the bar top before resting his hands next to them to stare at me. “Is that all that happened?”

More and more people were gathering around demanding drinks—he didn’t have the time to stand there making small talk with me. How the hell did I tell him I took Sable back to my place, drove him home, then made out with him in his bare-ass kitchen.

“Basically?” It was a lie. With the look Victor tossed in my direction, it was clear he knew that.

He didn’t have time to argue with me about it though, as he had to get the drinks he’d started to the customers that had ordered them.

With there only being one other bartender, he needed to focus on his actual job.

“You will tell me what happened.” He pointed to me as he picked up the glasses in front of him, going back to work.

I turned back to the stage watching dancer after dancer, waiting for the one person I was really there to see. The music shifted to more classic rock, a smile spread across my face because most of the dancers used what was typical stripper music to dance to, but not my Sable.

Fuck.

Since when had he become my Sable?

The stage darkened before a light illuminated a body that was hunched over in the middle.

God, he was fucking gorgeous. Even covered by long pants and a button-up shirt.

He swayed to the beat of the music, slowly removing the shirt from his small frame.

I wanted to drool as each inch of delectable skin was exposed.

Of all the times I’d come into the club, Sable normally started off mostly undressed, so it was different to see him perform an entire strip tease.

I wasn’t complaining because watching him turned me on in a whole new way.

When I watched him dance, I could usually keep my body under control, but not now.

My cock grew thick behind the zipper of my jeans as Sable rolled his hips with the music, running a hand down his chest, dipping it into his waistband.

I wanted to be his hand.

Sable cupped his hand over his package, rolling his hips again.

It was taking everything in my power to stay in my seat.

The longer I watched him, something in the back of my mind told me that tonight was the night that I did the unthinkable.

The night that I finally gave into everything I’d been craving with him.

It was dangerous. Wrong. But I no longer had control of my faculties.

When those impossibly tight pants he wore slid down over the round globes of his ass to expose the string of the black thong he wore, my decision was made.

When he made his way into the crowd, I was taking my shot.

Those back rooms were meant for clients.

While Sable had said we were friends... I wanted to go further, needed to go further.

That small sample of him I’d gotten by kissing him hadn’t been nearly enough.

My fingers itched to feel his skin as he writhed with pleasure beneath me.

The song ended. I couldn’t look away from the stage as the lights came on. I blinked because the brightness was sudden. It was stupid that I’d forgotten that they did that shit. It was a fast way to blind a person.

I turned back toward the bar, ordering another beer to calm my nerves. If I were really going to go through with this, I needed all the courage I could get. Victor raised his eyebrows at me like he could sense how jittery I suddenly was, but said nothing before going back to serve other customers.

The bottle of beer was slick with condensation from the heat of the room. Or maybe it was just because I was so warm after watching Sable on stage. My hands shook as I lifted the bottle to my lips taking a long drink.

It felt like ages sitting there drinking beer.

Maybe it was because I was nervous, but I swore it never took that long for Sable to make his rounds in the past. Of course, my brain wanted to think of the worst possible scenario.

What if he’d already come out and someone else had stopped him, a paying customer getting his attention before me?

I’d missed my opportunity because I was facing the damn bar instead of the door where he normally came out…

My racing thoughts cut off when a hand landed on my shoulder. I turned to see Sable’s smiling face. I instantly relaxed.

“Hey,” he said, waving past me to Victor, who was standing there with his drink waiting for him.

Those delicate fingers were so tempting as they gripped the martini glass.

It was now or never. I needed to shoot my shot and pray to the gods I didn’t end up with that lemon drop in my face.

Sable didn’t seem the type, but he was clearly someone who had different boundaries. I didn’t know what all of them were.

Sable seemed to be okay with me touching him, if what happened in his kitchen was anything to go off of.

I reached out, placing a hand on his hip.

When he didn’t pull away, I took it as a small win.

He only grinned at me before spinning around, leaning into me as if he were sitting on my lap.

It was hard to do on the damn stools. With the way he was pressed into my body—he had to feel how hard I was for him.

But he didn’t let on about it, just kept standing there talking to Victor like nothing else was going on.

If you asked me what Sable was talking to his friend about, I couldn’t tell you. All of my blood flow had diverted to my cock. My hand tightened on Sable’s hip as I leaned in close to his ear, not missing the way goosebumps spread across his neck as I spoke so only he could hear.

“I think you need to take me somewhere else. Somewhere it can be just you and me. What do you think about that?”

Sable shivered under my hold. I hadn’t seen him react that way with any of his other clients. He turned in my grasp, his eyes studying me as if making sure that what he heard me say was correct or not.

In reality, he should shoot me down. Remind me that this was all a bad idea, but that wasn’t what I was getting. Nope. His eyes glimmered with so much mischief as his hand found mine, grabbed hold of it, and pulled me from my seat.

The surrounding room disappeared in a blur, and before I could process what was happening, Sable pushed open the door leading to a room filled with plush pillows, like the night I had watched him with the other man.

Part of me didn’t want to experience this like that.

I wanted a place that was special for just the two of us, but maybe he needed to keep this degree of separation.

“Are you still with me?” Sable asked as I stopped to look around the room, still not completely believing that I was doing this.

Instead of answering him, I smirked, moving in closer, making sure that the door closed behind me. He laughed softly as I backed him all the way to the far wall of the room before caging him in with my arms.

God, the way he looked up at me with those bright blue eyes was addicting and I wanted to see them cloud over in lust just for me.

The air crackled with electricity as I leaned in closer, brushing my lips against his.

Little jolts of pleasure shot through my body at the contact.

I knew it wouldn’t ever be enough to simply kiss him.

I needed to feel his body meld against mine.

“Orion,” he said breathlessly as I pulled back a little, but only enough to hook my hands under his thighs, lifting him up the wall.

Sable gasped as his arms wound around my neck, then we were kissing again, but with more ferocity this time. We were all tongues and teeth as we fought against each other for dominance. He was being ridiculous if he thought for one minute that I would give him control.

His smaller body melded to mine so perfectly as he squirmed against my hold.

The feel of his hard cock against my stomach was enough to drive me wild.

I needed to feel it without anything between us.

I wanted to taste it. To feel its weight on my tongue as I swallowed him down, listening to him scream my name.
