CHAPTER 7
By the time mid November rolled around, Tessa and Tristan had worked themselves into a comfortable routine.
Thursday night study/make out sessions. Saturday night football games/make out sessions.
And Sunday movie night/make out sessions.
Their schedules were packed, each busy with their own special interests, hobbies, and academics, but they spent as much time together as they possibly could.
Tristan was going above and beyond anything he had done with a previous girlfriend, because he felt things for Tessa he had never felt for a previous girlfriend.
He made sure to talk to her every day, always showed up with flowers, showered her with compliments, introduced her to all his friends, and gave her mind-blowing kisses and life altering orgasms with his fingers as often as he could.
His teammates would tease him mercilessly about being whipped by her, and he didn’t care at all, because it was true.
He was falling fast and hard for Tessa, and he had no intention of stopping himself from falling.
Tessa’s walls were a bit sturdier. She found herself more skeptical and tentative in regard to their relationship, but with each passing day and his continued effort to show her just how serious he was, she continued letting her walls down.
So much so, in fact, that she was almost certain she was ready to have sex with him.
Her virginity wasn’t a huge deal to her – she didn’t view it as some soul defining thing that kept her pure or should be saved until marriage.
But she was very intentional about not giving it to someone who was meaningless or that she didn’t feel a spark with.
And she definitely felt a spark with Tristan.
Beyond their similar senses of humor, their easy-going conversations, and how well they each got along with their respective friend groups, Tessa could no longer ignore the fact that she was painfully attracted to him.
He was far different than any of her past boyfriends had been, but she was coming to find that this was a good thing; a great thing, even.
He was so loud and confident and made her laugh so hard she had tears streaming down her face.
He was talented, hardworking, and loved his family.
And to her very personal pleasure, he was unbelievably tall, his body hard as a brick wall, with sparkling green eyes and facial and body hair that screamed I’m a man.
He made her previous boyfriends look like child’s play.
He was also starting to infiltrate her mind when she was unconscious.
She had multiple incredibly realistic dreams about him and his hard body hovering over her and taking her in any possible way that he wanted.
She would wake up in a cold sweat, heart racing, panties soaked, and on the brink of an orgasm.
She was going crazy with sexual desire, and she knew that the emotional bond that they had been forming over the last few months was only intensifying this need to physically connect with him.
And so, when he had called her up and desperately requested that she be his date to the annual Football and Family gala dinner for Vanderbilt University, she eagerly accepted, and instantly understood that this would be the perfect time to finally allow herself to experience what she had been thinking about for so long now.
“Girl this dress is killer on you,” Abigail said as she zipped up the back of the floor length yellow dress.
It was simple and subtle yet just perfectly dressy enough for the occasion.
The material was light weight and flowed down her long body effortlessly.
The back was low and the front was scoop necked over her small yet perky breasts.
“Stop moving!” Amber hissed in frustration, a bobby pin dangling from her red lips as she concentrated on Tessa’s hair.
Her blond locks had been freshly washed, blow dried, and curled into loose waves that Amber had then half pinned up in the back in an elegant braid design.
Her hair matched the dress – effortlessly classy.
Not try hard, but very intentionally feminine and dressy for the occasion.
“There,” Amber said with a sigh as she put in the final hair pin and stepped back, swiping at her forehead as if she had finished a grueling 8-hour shift.
Tessa took a shaky breath and examined herself in the full-length mirror in her bedroom. She nodded to herself, feeling satisfied, but her blue eyes still hesitantly wandered to her best friends standing beside her.
“How do I look?” She asked, pulling her bottom lip nervously between her perfectly straight teeth.
“Literally perfect,” Abigail said with a smile.
“Like a dream,” Ashely replied sweetly.
Tessa turned around to look at them and crossed her arms anxiously over her chest.
“Okay but like, do you think he’ll want to fuck me?”
“Oh my God,” Abigail said, her cheeks blushing furiously.
Amber was way more equipped to handle this discussion and the smile that spread across was her face was genuine and mischievous.
“He’s going to want to make sweet love to you first and then after he pops that cherry he’s going to want to fuck you.”
Tessa couldn’t help the burst of laughter that escaped from her at Amber’s words, but it did make her feel better.
“I can’t listen to this,” Abigail said, turning away from them, “It’s like talking about my little sister having sex.”
“Oh please,” Tessa said with an eye roll, reexamining herself in the mirror, “Just because I have the tits of a 12-year-old doesn’t mean I am one.”
“And Trist stares at those things constantly,” Amber said with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
“He does like to play with them,” Tessa whispered teasingly.
“Oh my God enough please!” Abigail retorted.
“Okay okay I’ll stop. But we think I look okay? Especially to be meeting his parents for the first time?”
“100 percent yes,” Abigail said confidently. “You look perfect.”
“I can’t stop looking at you,” Tristan whispered into Tessa’s ear as they sat together at the round table in the middle of the football field. It was chilly but there were heated lamps around and he had lovingly draped his suit jacket over her delicate shoulders.
Tristan leaned down and gave her another quick kiss on her lips, about the hundredth one tonight, before turning his attention back to the stage.
Meeting Tristan’s mom and dad, Diane and Ed, had gone off perfectly.
Tessa had always prided herself on being good at meeting new people and being able to hold conversations with strangers.
She was naturally introverted and shy in most scenarios, but she also knew she was kind and personable – so although meeting his parents was slightly anxiety inducing she was very happy that it went as smoothly as it did.
Diane’s warm eyes went back and forth between her two sons who sat in front of her at the table.
She had no idea how her and Ed had managed to raise such good men, but she knew they were gems – truly one in million types of guys, and she was beyond thrilled to see that they were being loved by the two young women on their arms. Although Diane knew that Tessa and Tristan had not confessed the L word to each other, she could see it clear as day between them, and knew it was a matter of time before her giant son with his giant heart would let it slip.
“Alright so as we do every year at this event,” Coach Adams said into the mic, standing up on the stage with a small gold trophy in his hand, “I always give out my star player award. And let me tell you, this is no easy feat, okay? I don’t just give this to someone who plays ball well, there’s lots of layers that go into this thing.
And this year, this award is going to a player who has made incredible progress on the field.
He came into the team a bit unsteady on his feet.
We tried him at quarterback and running back but he has absolutely excelled at being our tight end.
And not once did he ever let any adversity of struggling to find his place on the team get in his way of succeeding.
Outside of the field though, this player is an incredible teammate, and I really do mean that ladies and gentlemen.
He is our team’s biggest hype man and honestly our secret weapon.
I would also like to point out that he has made incredible strides in regard to academics.
Again, he did not let any struggles or adversity with his grades get in the way of him going above and beyond getting his grades up to keep his place on the team.
So, to put it lightly, I’m incredibly grateful to have this player on my team, and I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us over the years.
So, ladies and gentlemen would you please help me in congratulating this year’s Star Player – Tristan Kelly. ”
Tessa leaped out of her seat, her face beaming with pride for the man next to her who stood up and shyly smiled down on her.
He towered over her, his broad shoulders blocking anything else out of her vision, but in this moment, he looked so vulnerable; his green eyes looking more like a 10-year-old boy who just got told he made the flag football team rather than a star football player heading straight towards NFL greatness.
He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers, placing his large hands gently on her hips and giving her a small squeeze before pulling away and making his way over to Jordan, followed by a quick side hug from Katie, and then embracing both of his parents securely under his arms and giving Diane a firm kiss on the top of her head.
