29. Sienna
TWENTY-NINE
SIENNA
Ifelt Tyran’s pleasure like a drum beat in my chest.
My chest heaved and my knees wobbled, although there was no pressure on them.
Lifting my hazy stare to Tyran, my body trembled against his, ecstasy rolling off me in tidal waves.
He withdrew from me, then collapsed to my side and pulled me to him.
“Good girl,” he breathed, his lips skimming over my skin. “Good fucking girl.”
I didn’t know why he was praising me. Maybe because I didn’t have a panic attack, or maybe because I made him feel as intensely as he made me feel. I hoped it was the latter.
My breathing was erratic and my skin sweaty. It felt like I’d just run a marathon, but the end result was a sated body after an orgasm instead of the bullshit of burned calories. Although, we probably burned some too.
Turning, he reached for a bottle of water that sat on the nightstand, unscrewed the top, and handed it to me.
“Drink this. I’ll be right back,” he said as I took it.
I nodded, then took a gulp while I watched him disappear into the closet and then the bathroom. He returned with a wet washcloth and a bag of Hershey’s chocolates.
“Sit up, baby, and eat some of this while I clean you.”
The image of his words flared my desire all over again and my body hummed as I did what he asked.
He held out the chocolates for me.
I did as he said and took the chocolates while he gently spread my legs and started cleaning up my inner thighs. I watched as he sensually, albeit methodically, started wiping my flesh. There was something about this that made my heart race. Or was it singing? I didn’t know.
All I knew was that I couldn’t tear my gaze off Tyran, who was focused on my pussy.
“Eat, Sienna,” he urged, never looking up as he traced his finger over a trail of cum and gently pushed it back inside me.
“Eat, Sienna. If I have to say it again, there’ll be some spanking involved.”
I shuddered, a small moan slipping between my lips.
What the hell was happening to me?
Rather than dwelling on it, I did as he ordered.
The crinkling of cellophane filled the room and I popped a chocolate into my mouth.
“You know, there’s chocolate in Europe,” I said around the candy. “One might argue European chocolate is better than Hershey’s.”
He chuckled.
“But Hershey’s chocolate is home.” I was about to argue but paused, realizing he was right. He brought back pieces of home with him. It was so incredibly thoughtful it made me want to cry. “How do you feel, baby?”
I cleared my throat, not wanting to appear too emotional.
“I feel incredible. Thank you… And you?”
Satisfied with his cleaning job, he threw the wet rag onto the floor and climbed back on the bed before pulling me into a hug and tucking me into him.
“Same. You were spectacular.”
“Thank you,” I whispered. “Maybe I’ll sleep like a baby tonight.”
I chuckled, but there was anxiety behind it, and Ty must have sensed it because, with a lopsided grin, he said, “You will. And if you don’t, I’ll be here to chase any and all nightmares away. Worse comes to worst, we’ll fuck all night.”
“So romantic,” I croaked at his crude words and offered him my water. He shook his head, took the bottle, and set it back down.
He shrugged. “If it’s necessary to chase those nightmares away, fuck romance and just fuck me.”
“What if I become addicted to sex?” I challenged, placing my head down against his chest. His heart beat strong and steady while mine still trembled in my chest.
“I’ll be here to satisfy that addiction,” he answered, pulling the blanket over me and tucking it around me.
Leave it to Tyran to have such a comeback while taking care of me after sex.
Time stretched in the quiet of the bedroom suite. Tyran stroked my head, over and over, his touch firm but gentle.
I found it soothing and comforting. But despite the fatigue settling in my bones, I found myself resisting sleep.
His one arm around me tightened. “What’s wrong?”
I jerked my head and looked anywhere but at him.
“Nothing. I’m…” He waited for me to finish my thought, but I couldn’t quite get the words out.
“Sienna?” He stopped stroking my head and took my chin between his fingers. My breathing hitched as our gazes caught. “What is it?”
My fingers twisted the edge of the blanket.
I didn’t know how to word what was wrong. Or maybe I just didn’t like the idea of putting my dark thoughts into words. Maybe it made it all too real while I wanted to pretend everything that happened never did.
“Sienna…” he growled, although it wasn’t threatening. More concerned.
“I just feel so… angry. And scared. But mostly angry.” My fingers trembled and I tightened my grip on the blanket. “At myself. At those men who… hurt me. Even at Sophie.”
“At Sophie?” he repeated slowly, and I realized he didn’t know her.
“That’s my stepdad’s cousin. She’s married now.”
“Yeah, I know who she is and who she’s married to. Kian Cortes.”
I didn’t question how he knew that. It didn’t matter.
“I know it’s not her fault. She feels terrible about it, but it just makes me so mad.”
“I’m killing all those men one by one,” he said slowly while his eyes bored into me. “Want me to kill Sophie too?”
“God, no.” I gasped, shaking my head. “I just want to get rid of… this anger, fear. All of it.”
He nodded, and somehow I sensed he actually did understand exactly what I was feeling. Maybe even better than I did.
“Let me ask you,” he started slowly. “Why are you mad at yourself?”
I swallowed roughly.
“Because I wasn’t paying attention when they snatched me. Because I didn’t fight harder. Because I heard so many girls being hurt worse than me, and yet I couldn’t do anything. And it makes me fucking livid.”
Understanding settled over him, and he watched me with a steady gaze.
“All those men will die, and you did fight, baby. You survived, and that makes you stronger than anyone,” he murmured.
“I’m sorry for what I did to you.” Tear droplets clung to my lashes. “I’m sorry that—”
His mouth came to mine and silenced me with a gentle kiss. I gasped, then molded my lips to his while his arms around me tightened. I could feel his tongue softly brushing against my bottom lip.
By the time he pulled away, my breathing was erratic and so was my heart.
“No more apologies,” he said firmly, while rubbing small circles along my back. “We’re starting over. Tonight.”
I didn’t question why. Instead, I shoved my face into his neck and nuzzled into him more, my cheek against his warm flesh, and murmured, “Thank you.”
