"Oh my god, Sia," Clover says, then starts crying her eyes out and ruins her makeup. She's six months pregnant and as stunning as ever, but she just can't seem to stop crying.
"You're getting married," she sobs.
"I know. Those fuckers got me," I say, but my eyes are sparkling and I feel radiant, glowing from within. Plus, my wedding dress is so perfect I'm probably not going to want to step out of it after my wedding.
"Okay, this is going down as the most unusual, most extraordinary courtship in the world. Only the best for my girl."
Clover hugs me again.
I do have the best. Layton, Garrison, and Jasper are the best in the whole wide world, and they love me.
But best of all, we're relocating to Skarlen, where I'll take up my rightful position as queen and my husbands will run their business from the palace.
Our children will be born in Skarlen. My deceased parents would be so happy to know that.
But my grandmother decided she couldn't hold onto the throne any longer. As much as it pained her to leave it to me, she had no choice. I respected her decision.
I plan to make my country thrive again, and I know I can do it.
Still, I may be Skarlen's Queen, but Layton, Garrison, and Jasper are my true kings.
