Chapter 53
SALVODOR. Nadia’s uncle.
Islipped into the booth of this diner and waited for my order to come. I was hungry, and this was the only place outside the territory that wasn’t too crowded.
“Did you see Alpha Riley’s soon-to-be Luna? She’s so beautiful…”
My ears perked up at the mention of Alpha Riley and his Luna from the group of young females sitting just behind my booth.
I was informed by Alpha Darvin that it was the Alpha that marked Nadia, and had I known it, I would have used a different tactic. But my stupid niece was too stupid to even identify that the one who marked her was the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.
“And why was it taking them too long to have a Luna Ceremony?”
“I don’t know. Maybe the Alpha doesn’t like her. “
“No way. My brother said, he has never seen the Alpha getting mushy and handsy with any female before, just the Luna, so I think he likes her.”
“Maybe the Luna doesn’t want him?”
“You think so? But why? I would love to be mated to the Alpha!”
“I don’t know. We don’t even know where she came from, but maybe she has a boyfriend somewhere.”
“I don’t think so, I think they’re just preparing something grander, so it’s taking longer. It should be a big celebration because we have never had a Luna for more than a decade now.”
I didn’t hear the rest of the conversation as my mind immediately sprang into action.
Payback time.
I lost a month of my life being beaten to death in that horrid cell, and I lost my female. I still had no idea where my mate was after she ran away when I was held. I couldn’t blame her. They would probably have gone after her if she hadn’t left.
I would go and find her, but first, Nadia needed to be punished. I slipped out of my seat and met the server with my order, but I just ignored her even after she called after me. I suddenly lost my appetite. I had more important things to do.
