Through the Wood of Hell

Desideria faces death for a killing she did not choose. The demon inside her has been almost docile for six years, little more than a rude presence sharing her days in Monde’s End. Then It uses her hands to murder the baker. In a world ruled by the church, possession is usually answered with death.

It tells her an exorcism will not end this.

To take her life back, she must cross the wood that borders her superstitious village, reach Hell, and beg the demon who cursed It to reverse the spell.

People say every kind of creature stalks those trees, and no one who has entered has ever returned.

If she does reach Hell, its rules will not bend for her, and mercy is not a demon’s habit.

It calls the plan a fool’s mission. Impossible or not, she has no other way left.
