Chapter 28

Mylah

I woke up to Tide’s cock inside of me this morning. That was some wakeup call. He said he likes sneaking inside of me when I’m asleep and being the first thing I feel when I get up.

He fucked me senseless, and then left me in the bed, to go handle business with the club.

I didn’t mind because I was sated and happy.

I fell back asleep, and now I yawn as I look over at the clock.

Throwing my legs over the edge of the bed, I sit up and stretch.

I feel well used, and I love every second of it.

I climb out of bed and walk to the bathroom to take care of business, noticing that both Riley and Rebel aren’t in here. Tide must have taken them out with him this morning. I smile in the mirror as I wash my hands. I’m glad he’s loving having them around as much as I am.

I hear the door close, and as soon as I step out of the bathroom, Tide is there with both dogs.

“They can really piss,” he says, nodding to the two of them.

“They’re big dogs.”

“Yeah, I know. Everyone is lovin’ them bein’ here.”

“I’m glad.” I walk over and sit on the edge of the bed as Tide paces the room. Something else is bothering him, I can see it in his eyes.

“What’s wrong?”

“They found Beth. One their way to pick up Christian now.” He doesn’t even look my way now.

Something inside of me aches. I don’t want to see him in trouble.

I don’t want to see him hurt. If he does anything to Christian, I’m afraid it will kill him.

That’s still his son, regardless of how everything else happened.

“You can’t do this.”

“The plans are already in motion, Mylah. I’m not stoppin’ it now.”

“He’s your son.”

“I’m not gonna kill my son,” he tells me. I let out a sigh of relief when he turned to look at me. “That make you happy?”

“I don’t want to see you hurt, Tide.”

“I know. That’s why I’m not killin’ him. If he had anything to do with this, someone else will.”

“No. He’s your son for fucks sake, Tide. You can’t let someone kill him.”

“We’ve been over this, Mylah. If he’s involved, he’s dead.”

“Why would he do this?”

“Why would she?” I shrug my shoulders unsure how to answer that. I don’t know why she would do something like this.

“I don’t know.”

“Well, I don’t either but it ends soon.” I shove off the bed and stand, pacing a little myself.

“This is a bad idea,” I tell him. Or am I talking to myself? He isn’t going to listen to me, or listen to reason.

“Maybe so, but this is all we got. If she did this, if she sold you out, she’s dead, Mylah.”

“Can you just think about this?”

“I have. That’s it, that’s what I came up with.” He runs his hand through his hair before walking back over to me. He grabs my face in his hands and kisses me, but I pull away quickly.

“Does it matter what I have to say about this?”

“No. Not really. This isn’t up for discussion, baby. I’m gonna do what I gotta do.”

“And the hell with what I say, right?”

“I didn’t say that, but I’ve heard what you have to say and I don’t agree. Now get dressed,” he says.

“Why? I’m not going with you to kill her.” I plant my hands on my hips as I glare at him.

“Never said you were. Get dressed. We have a meetin’ to get to.”

“For what?”

“Just get dressed, Mylah. Don’t make daddy spank your ass because I will wear it out.

It will be raw for a week,” he warns me.

My skin heats as he looks at me with intent in his eyes.

He would do it too. I sigh and walk away from him, grabbing some clothes and pulling them on.

I pile my hair up on the top of my head in a messy bun and look over at him.

“You’re so fuckin’ beautiful.”

“I don’t even have any makeup on.”

“You don’t need it. Look at you.”

“You’re trying to be nice,” I tell him with a little laugh.

“No. I’m bein’ serious. I prefer you without all that shit on anyway.”

“You do?” Most men want their women to look perfect. Christian did. He would always tell me to put on makeup, and here Tide is telling me he likes me without it.

“Yeah, I do. That shit doesn’t do anything for you, baby. You look perfect just like that.” Now tears spring to my eyes as I try to blink them away. Fucking hormones have me all over the place these days.

“Thank you.”

“I’m only tellin’ you the truth, Mylah. Now come on.

” He holds his hand out to me and gladly slips mine into his.

He wraps his fingers up with mine and leads me out of the room and down the hall.

The dogs follow behind us, but when we make it to the main room, no one is out there.

That’s unusual but I don’t say anything.

I let Tide lead me out the side door toward the truck.

“Why the truck?” I ask, looking up at him.

“You’re pregnant. No bike. Besides, the dogs need a spot to ride,” he says, smiling at me as he holds the back door open for them. They both jump in before he helps me into the front.

I settle into my seat as he walks around the front of the truck and climbs in. I don’t ask any more questions as he pulls out of the parking lot and drives down the road. I take in the scenery as we make our way wherever we’re going.

“I have a surprise for you. You gotta close your eyes,” he says. I glance over at him, and he just smiles. I smile back before closing my eyes and following directions.

“What surprise?”

“I can’t tell you. Just keep your eyes closed.” I do as he says as we take a few more turns. Then the truck comes to a stop, and I hear him turn off the engine. His door closes, and then mine opens. Tide lifts me out of the truck and sets me on my feet.

“Keep them closed. Let me lead you.” I nod my head as I feel Rebel and Riley brush past me. I let Tide lead me up a few steps. Wherever we are, it’s extremely quiet, but it feels like we’re not alone. My insides leap, wondering what the hell might be happening right now.

“When I say, you can open your eyes, okay?”

“Okay.” We walk a little further until Tide stops us.

“Okay. Open them.” I open my eyes and glance around at all the guys and their old ladies sitting in chairs, smiling at us. Then I look back at Tide as he beams with happiness.

“What is this? What’s going on?”

“I told you we were gettin’ married, and it just so happens that this is our new house.” My mouth falls open as I look around once more. Everyone is laughing or talking now, and I’m just awestruck. I don’t know what to say. This is all happening so fast.

“Tide. This is too much,” I tell him.

“No, it’s perfect. We’re gettin’ married in our own house, Mylah. This is how things are supposed to be,” he says. He grabs my hands in his and holds them tightly. “We’re doin’ this right. We’re gonna do all of this right.”
