58. CHAPTER 58

ARIA

“ T here’s no way you’re getting me in those.”

I stood in the bedroom, holding up a pair of matching Grinch pyjamas, as Sebastian shook his head. It was a tradition I used to do with my mum every Christmas Eve.

“They’re perfect for you, Mr Grinch.”

“I’m not a grinch; I just don’t do Christmas,” he replied, taking them from my hands and throwing them on the bed.

“Well,” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I think we need to change that.”

“Oh, do we?” he said, leaning in to kiss me.

We were in a really good place, and it seemed to be getting better every day. We’d been together six months now, and even through the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change that time with him.

“Now,” I said, placing my hand on his chest. “Get them on so we can go downstairs and watch movies and drink hot chocolate.”

He hung his head in disbelief that he was going to do as he was told, giving up way too easily.

I already had mine on, ready to go; I was just waiting on him.

I sat on the edge of the bed as he removed his T-shirt.

He looked over at me, smiling, then caged me in with his arms, leaning in to softly kiss my lips.

I placed my hands on the back of his neck, moving my fingers up to knot in his hair.

We hadn’t been intimate since everything happened with Jason. I hadn’t felt ready, and Sebastian never pushed. He allowed me the time and space I needed to heal. Being here with him made me realise how much I wanted to be with him like that again.

He pulled his lips away, resting his forehead on mine. “You have no idea how much I love you, Nyx,” he whispered.

My heart skipped a beat, butterflies flying around in my stomach.

“I love you, too, Sebastian,” I replied softly, pushing my lips back onto his.

“You’d better stop kissing me, or I won't be able to get those pyjamas on.”

Sebastian held my hand as we walked down the stairs, making our way into the living room. James and Mum were sitting on the sofa. The table was filled with hot chocolates and cookies. The fire crackled with burning embers, filling the room with warmth.

“I see you were forced to wear the Grinch pyjamas too, Sebastian,” James chuckled, showing off his own.

“Yeah, didn’t really get a choice.” He laughed, squeezing my hand.

“Must be something about the Summers women.”

“Stop it,” Mum replied, playfully tapping him.

I sat down on the other sofa with Sebastian, getting comfortable.

“What are you up to these days, Sebastian?” Mum asked him.

“Currently, I’m CEO of my dad's company.”

“I’m surprised he gave it up,” Mum said, a little shocked.

“It wasn’t by choice,” Sebastian explained.

“You’re quite young to be a CEO. How are you finding it?” James asked.

“It’s not without its ups and downs, but I’ve managed to fix what my dad broke.”

“Sebastian’s dad wasn’t really around when he was growing up,” Mum told James.

I could feel Sebastian’s body tensing, so I took hold of his hand and gently squeezed it. He hated talking about his childhood and anything to do with his dad.

“What film are we watching?” I asked, changing the subject.

“Oh, erm … Scrooged ,” Mum replied, picking up the control and pressing play.

I looked up at Sebastian, meeting his eyes and smiling at him. He leaned down, kissing my head, and pulled me closer to snuggle up on the sofa.

I woke up the next morning in Sebastian’s arms in bed, the blankets snuggled around us.

I took a deep breath, taking all of him in; he always smelled the same, fresh citrus and spices mixed together, and I could always smell him on my clothes and in my hair.

It was nice, because when we weren’t together, I could still feel him around me, like he was still there, keeping me safe.

I shifted and watched the snow falling outside the window. It was amazing to see a white Christmas. That was something that rarely happened in England.

It was the freshly laid fluffy snow I loved. I liked catching the snowflakes in my hand and looking at them to see what pattern they were.

I felt Sebastian moving next to me, his arm wrapping around my body, pulling me back to him. His lips rested on my neck, his warm breath lighting my skin on fire. I turned over to face him, lying on my side. He looked so handsome when he slept.

He looked handsome all the time.

Sometimes, I couldn’t believe he was all mine; he could have anyone he wanted, but he’d chosen me.

“Are you going to stare at me all morning?” he teased, opening an eye to look at me. “Not that I'm complaining.”

“How do you even know I’m looking at you?” I laughed.

“I just know,” he replied, kissing my lips.

Looking into Sebastian’s beautiful blue eyes, I tucked the loose bits of his hair back and then leaned in to kiss him.

This was it. I finally felt free of everything I had endured over the last few months.

Those dark scars deep within that were once raw had fully healed, blossoming into light.

I was ready to fully be with him again after everything.

I sat up, lifting my top off. He looked up at me.

“Nyx, are you sure?”

“Yes,” I whispered, running my hands under his shirt and lifting it off his head.

He sat up, placing his hands on my jaw, his thumbs grazing over my cheeks, and gazed into my eyes.

“I’ll be gentle, I promise,” he whispered.

His words took me back to four years ago, when he should have been my first. And somehow, it felt like he was going to be this time.

“I trust you,” I whispered back, then met his lips with mine.

The kiss was everything. It was intimate, desperate, and passionate all mixed into one, and my body melted for him.

He gently turned me onto my back, his fingers tracing down my skin, sending my nerves into overload.

He respected every inch of my body. His fingers reached my lace knickers, and his eyes flickered to mine.

I nodded, giving him permission, and gasped as they glided over my wet pussy.

His other hand moved the hair from my face, and he looked into my eyes. “If you want me to stop, tell me.”

“No, I don’t want you to.” My breathing was heavy.

He looked into my eyes a little longer, then gently met my lips. He pushed two fingers in, my back arching from the pressure. My core was burning, melting, flooding my veins with pure pleasure. Our kisses dulled my whimpers as he slowly moved his fingers in and out.

My arms were tightly wrapped around his neck as he withdrew his fingers, licking me off them.

“You’ll always be mine, Nyx,” he whispered.

I loved this man with every fibre in my body. He shifted, removing his clothes, and settled in between my legs.

He stroked his length, his eyes on mine as I nodded again, wordlessly telling him he could continue. He slowly started inching himself into me, my breath catching, my body igniting all at once. I wanted all of him.

“Are you ok?”

I nodded, wrapping my arms around his neck again, pulling his body onto mine. I wanted to feel his warmth all over me, to seep down into every part of my soul. His motions were slow and careful; he took his time, listening to my body.

My heart was racing against his. My nerves were sparking, ready to ignite, then they lit everything on fire, my orgasm hitting me like never before. My body trembled, going into full meltdown as stars covered my eyes, our kisses not allowing anything to escape. I felt his body jerk against mine.

“Fuck, Nyx.” A low growl fell from his lips.

He released everything into me with one last push. His breathing was shallow against mine, and he gazed into my eyes, stroking the hair from my face.

“I love you more than anything,” he whispered.

“I love you, too.”

I could feel every part of him over my skin, that spark between us running through me. That deep connection we shared as one. I was all his, and he was all mine.
