Chapter 5
Aria
“Sebastian?”
“Yeah?” he replied, glued to his phone.
“What time’s the flight?”
“Erm, I’m not sure.” He didn’t even look up at me.
I screwed up my face, wondering if I’d heard him right. This man was controlled, organised, and attentive to details. He was never late to anything. He knew his day down to the last second.
“Ok, give me that phone.” I plucked it from his hand.
He let out a huff. “What are you doing?”
“You’ve spent more time on that this weekend than normal. What’s going on?”
“Nothing. It’s just work.” He stood, snatched it back and placed it in his pocket. “We need to leave in three hours. The flight’s at 2:30 p.m.”
Crossing my arms, I glared at him. “Oh, so you were listening, you just couldn’t be bothered to talk to me properly.”
“Nyx,” he said sweetly, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me flush to him. “You know I listen to everything you say to me.” He kissed me softly, then gazed into my eyes.
I tried to stop the smile curling on my lips, but I couldn’t help it with the way he was looking at me.
“There’s that beautiful smile,” he whispered.
I wrapped my arms around his neck. “What are we going to do for our final few hours?”
“There’s a lot I can do to you in three hours.” He smirked, then started kissing my neck.
“Sebastian.” I giggled from the feel of his stubble tickling me.
His phone started to ring, and he let out a small groan and pulled it from his pocket.
“I need to take this. It’s work.”
“Leave it,” I said, pressing my lips onto his.
He took hold of my arms and gently pulled me back. “It’s important.”
He stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him. I let out a heavy sigh and plonked my arse on the edge of the bed. My heart sank a little as I fiddled with my sleeves.
Guess I was spending the last few hours in Venice alone.
Fuck that.
I got back up and stepped outside the room. Sebastian was nowhere to be seen, so I walked along the corridor, reached the lift, and pressed the button, making my way down a floor to where Serfina and Hayden were staying.
“Hey, girl.” Serfina smiled as she opened the door for me. “What’s with the long face?”
“Sebastian thought taking a work call was more important than spending time together.”
She scoffed. “That boy always has business on his mind. Don’t worry about it; it’s nothing personal. He just gets fixated on things and needs to get them done.” She gestured for me to come in.
“Where’s Hayden?”
“Hayden is packing because Serfina doesn’t know how to do it right,” Hayden said, appearing from another room.
She tutted at him. “There’s nothing wrong with the way I pack. They’re going to get washed when we go home, so why do they need to be neatly folded?”
“Well, you decided to buy more, so we need to make sure it all fits.”
“If it doesn’t, we can buy another suitcase and add it on.”
“It’ll fit, Nari. It just needs to be packed correctly.”
She rolled her eyes at him. “Better get to it then.”
“Where’s Sebastian?” Hayden asked.
“Busy taking a work call.”
“Oh. He did mention he wasn’t looking forward to going back with those upcoming projects.”
Hayden was right. There was a lot on his schedule over the coming weeks. I guess I should give him the benefit of the doubt with him wanting to be on top of everything.
“How about we go get a drink. One for the road,” I suggested.
Serfina’s eyes lit up. “Girl, you read my mind.” She turned to Hayden. “There are some shoes and bags I bought down by the bed. Don’t forget those, too.”
He let out a moan. “There’s more?”
“Like I said.” She rose from the sofa. “Get another suitcase.” She kissed him, took my hand, and pulled me out of the door.
As soon as we reached the bar, Serfina was ordering us Bellinis, and I was now questioning my decision to come here. I did not need to be tipsy on the way to the airport.
“I know what you’re thinking, but it’s our last few hours, so we deserve it.”
“How did you know?”
“Girl, that face suggests you’re questioning your life decisions.” She laughed and handed me one. “We’ll just have the one because I know Hayden will forget something. I think I have a few more bags I bought somewhere …”
I shook my head, smiling at her. She did buy a lot whilst we were out the other day, but she knew how to shop.
I could smell the peach the minute I brought the glass to my lips. I took a sip—the fruity flavour hit first, followed by the crisp taste of the prosecco, balancing it out.
“That’s so good,” Serfina said.
“It really is. I’ve never tried it before.”
I hadn’t tried many cocktails. It was bad enough that I was a lightweight as it was, and I knew I wouldn’t need many to get me drunk.
This last year, I’d been able to do these things and get drunk without having to worry about it.
I never touched a drop in Leeds. It wasn’t worth the risk with Jason.
“Girl, when we get back to London, we’re going to hit up a cocktail bar so you can try every single one.”
“I love the idea, but I would be wasted after a few. Not to mention probably throwing up with mixing them all.”
She screwed her face. “Please, that’s a myth. I’ve never been sick mixing my drinks.” She took another sip.
“So,” I said. “What do you think about me going back to university?”
Her eyes widened, and a smile curled on her lips. “What’s got you thinking about that?”
“With everything that’s happened, now I’m settled and happy, I’ve been contemplating it more.”
“Aria, you do what’s best for you. Don’t let anyone stop that.”
Serfina’s phone started ringing, and she pulled it out.
“It’s Hayden. He’s probably found the bags I didn’t tell him about.” She laughed. “Hello … yes, I know. Fine.” She clicked the phone off. “He said if I don’t tell him where everything is, he’s just going to leave it.”
“It’s fine. Let’s go back up.”
We both polished off our Bellinis and made our way out of the bar.
I decided to let Serfina and Hayden sort her bags out by themselves. After placing the card over the door to unlock it, I stepped in and made my way to the bedroom to make sure I had everything packed.
Sebastian was sat on the bed, and he soon stood, making his way over the moment he saw me.
“I’m so sorry I left. I came back, and you were gone.”
“I went to see Serfina, and we had a quick drink at the bar. Apparently, we needed to try the Bellinis before we left.”
He placed his hands around my waist. “There was a client from work who was nearby, and it made perfect sense to get him to sign the paperwork whilst I was here rather than have him travel to London. I should have said instead of rushing out. I’m sorry.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck. “It’s ok. I get it. I know you’ve got a lot on when we get back.”
“I have, but I shouldn’t have done that to you.”
“Forget it. Let’s just enjoy the time we have left.”
He softly kissed my lips. “You taste like peaches,” he said between kisses. “I want to taste like you.”
His words sent that instant heat to my core as he cradled the back of my head, his lips devouring mine as he guided me back to sit on the edge of the bed. My pulse quickened as my breathing became shallow. I could never get over how handsome he was.
He found the hem of my jumper, lifted it, and threw it to the floor.
He rested his hands on my jaw as he bit my bottom lip, forcing a whimper to escape from me.
His kiss was needy and desperate as my hands found his belt buckle, unclipping it to free his long length.
Taking hold, I started stroking, and he let out a growl that vibrated through my senses as my arousal leaked out. “I can’t wait to enjoy you.”
He grabbed my waist, throwing me into the middle of the bed, and I let out a little shriek. My pussy ached to be touched by him. He ran his fingers under the waistband of my leggings and knickers, then pulled them off in one go.
Positioning himself, he spread my legs open, biting his lip, then met my eyes.
“Look how wet you are for me.”
Heat radiated through me, sending a spark down my spine. My body screamed his name as he traced his lips over my lower stomach.
He flicked the tip of his tongue over my clit, causing my hips to arch as I let out a moan and fisted the blanket. Gently, he started to suck, and I felt the pressure of two fingers enter me.
“Fuck, please don’t stop,” I moaned, feeling the heat build in my core.
“That’s my girl. Come for me.”
He curled his fingers, hitting that spot, and I went into meltdown. Everything came rushing in as my orgasm hit like an electric surge through my veins.
“Sebastian,” I screamed.
My body trembled as he kept my legs open and started cleaning up that beautiful mess I’d made for him.
He trailed lazy kisses over the inside of my thighs, then positioned himself between my legs. Taking the tip, he rubbed over my clit, and heat coiled in my core. Then he slowly inched his length in, stretching me out as I let out a whimper.
He lowered his body flush to mine as I wrapped my legs around his waist to take him deeper.
“I fucking love how you feel around me,” he growled, stroking my hair from my face.
His lips crashed into mine as I fisted my fingers through his hair. He started to pound hard into me, and everything built back up again.
“Oh, fuck,” I panted.
Fire laced through my body as his movements got faster. Goose bumps formed over my skin, and I was ready to fall over the edge again.
“There’s a good girl.”
My breathing got heavy as I completely let go, that ecstasy surging through my body. Stars covered my eyes as my body trembled from the intense pleasure. He always knew how to completely wreck me.
He thrusted deeper, harder into me as he chased his own release, his body jerking against mine as he found it.
“Fuck,” he growled against my lips.
He slowed his movements as he kissed me softly. I felt every inch of him pull out as he shifted onto his side, and then he ran two fingers over my sensitive pussy, causing me to gasp. He traced my lips with his two fingers, and my tongue darted out, tasting us both, before he did the same.
“So fucking beautiful.”
He planted a delicate kiss on my lips, then rolled onto his back.
We lay there for a moment, Sebastian feathering his fingers up and down my arm as I rested my head on his chest, and I traced over his tattoos.
“Do you think you’d want to get married?” he asked.
My eyes widened slightly. I mean, he was everything to me, and I couldn’t see my future without him in it.
“Is that your way of proposing?” I teased.
He shifted onto his side, and his eyes lit up, a smile curling on his lips. Butterflies formed in my stomach. He stroked the loose bits of hair behind my ear, resting his hand on my cheek, and gazed into my eyes.
“When I propose, it won’t be after sex.” He leaned in, brushing his lips against mine, then rested his forehead on mine. “It’ll be everything you deserve and more.”
